The CVS survey was not working so I am typing my review here. I frequently use MinuteClinic for…read morequick flu or strep tests. I find it very convenient when I can't get into the pediatrician. I went with my daughter today who ended up testing positive for influenza B. I was very disappointed a physical exam was not performed on my daughter. I am a nurse practitioner myself and this is a basic medical standard of care. It is also a required element of documentation in order to bill insurance. That means the provider will be falsely reporting physical exam findings today. Unacceptable. The 2 stars are for the nurse/medical assistant who worked quickly, efficiently, and was kind to my anxious daughter who hates having her throat swabbed. I will be communicating my concerns to CVS also. At the very least my daughter's ears, throat and chest should have been examined. Update: It has been virtually impossible to connect with a human at CVS. There are no email options I can see on the website. I've called directly and was placed on hold for several minutes. I had to give up after 20 minutes to get back to my work day. The only other option is snail mail. Taking my business elsewhere moving forward.

I chose velocity because it was close to my home and family members had had good experiences there…read more Upon entering the receptionist was very nice. The wait was not long.. we were brought into the room and the young lady proceeded to take my blood pressure with an automatic blood pressure machine. I explained to her that I have a problem with those because they push up too high and it bulges the veins in my hand, and I have a tendency for bleeding under the skin in my hand because the veins pop so if it goes too high, we need to see another option. So she wasn't happy after a few times and my veins were swelling so I told her please stop and she said well then she'll have to take it manually and I said that's fine thank you. Next, I wait a couple minutes and a lady comes in. She doesn't take my blood pressure. She doesn't check my temperature. She doesn't check anything. And she says what what can I do for you. So I tell her that over the last couple weeks I've been very sick. I had a virus with a lot of coughing and everything and now I'm sick again and that I have very bad pains in the back of my right lung so she said so what can we do for you. So I tell her that I would like something maybe a medicine for my nebulizer and I'm spitting up green and yellow and I really feel like I don't know what's going on, but I really feel like the pain is so bad in my back, I need a chest x-ray to find out just what the pain is from. So she checks the back with the stethoscope and says I don't hear anything so your lungs are clear. So I tell her I'm having trouble breathing. I'm coughing a lot and I'm really concerned about that and also something is just not right because I can't seem to get well. She says well there's nothing wrong with your lungs. It's clear so I'm not giving you a xray. She walks out comes back with a prescription saying she's gonna give me a low-dose albuterol for nebulizer some prescription for cough syrup and a prescription for anabiotic azithromycin. So I asked her is that anabiotic OK to take with a heart problem because I've had other antibiotics that have upset my heart as I have a fib and a couple other issues. So she tells me that all antibiotics are safe with all heart problems and if I have a problem with that I can call my doctor and ask him. And she leaves the room when I pick up the prescriptions the two cough syrups that she prescribed were $60 and $80 respectively and my insurance doesn't cover them. My grandson was with me the whole time shaking his head. He said they have never seen her before. They have always seen a male doctor. A couple days later my grandson takes his wife to same place thinking their regular person will be there. She ended up with the same person as me with a very similar experience. She can do her own review but two days later she goes to UConn ER and was tested for Covid and the flue had chest X-rays and intravenous for dehydration. Also a different protocol. She tested positive for flu. Since we live in the same house I am assuming I would have tested the same if I were tested. I am 71 with comobilities and can say this is not the place to go if you really need help. I would also like to suggest that this person that saw both myself and my grand daughter go back to school and be retrained or maybe she is the wrong line of work or maybe she had a bad week. I don't know but neither of us will be returning.

I had an emergency and this was the only place open within the area. I echo the same safety…read moreconcerns as some of the other reviewers. Upon entering, the sanitizer was facing the receptionist behind the glass. None for the patients. We are sharing clipboards and pens, without having hand sanitizer available to us-nor was any of it wiped down in between. That's my first concern. My second concern was the fact that I HAD to pay up front, without being able to submit to the insurance company. I have an HSA, so the expenses are submitted to my insurance, and I pay everything towards my deductible. So if I am billed again, I will expect my payment will be applied towards my deductible. Third concern; it was 53 degrees outside when I arrived. The A/C was on INSIDE, and all the employees had coats on??? Lastly, I left with instructions to go purchase my own brace and take ibuprofen. So I hobbled out of there feeling just as injured as upon my arrival. There are postings all over the facility asking to comment on yelp or Facebook if you're Happy! If you're Not Happy-call the office manager. If you're afraid of negative feedback, maybe do something about it rather than publicly argue back with the reviewer. We do this to assist businesses in order for them to make appropriate changes. Not to be mean.

first I would like to clarify the staff was empathetic and friendly. However, if you are a Hartford…read morehealthcare patient already they should have your insurance information on file. In order to register online you have to provide the front and back of your insurance cards and despite uploading the photographs the site would not accept them. After multiple tries and a lot of aggravation it finally took the photos. I arrived on time and the queue displayed on the television in the waiting room that I needed to check in. I had checked in when I walked in the place and they told me I'm good because I did it online. The queue still had me indicating that I was not checked in. Then they called in someone who was a walk-in ahead of me who was last on the list. Then they called the person who was listed beneath me on the list and my name disappeared. I spoke up. I had been there for 40 minutes when my name disappeared off the queue. She said it was because they were ready in the room for me. But they still called the person after me first. They said they were having computer issues. I told them I tried to phone them to ask them if they would be able to do what I needed, and I said nobody answers the phone and none of the prompts get you to a human being. The system was blamed. I feel a little bad for the staff because they deal with the inefficient and inadequacy of the infrastructure of the go health urgent care corporation. The PA and the medical assistant were wonderful. Healthcare in America should be much better than this.
