I came here last year and this year with my grandson because my CVS on South New Hope Rd. was not able to give flu shots to children. What has been an easy 5 or 10 minute flu shot experience at Hoffman Rd. were extremely unpleasant experiences at the Minute Clinic. The Clinic is disconnected from the patient. Patients slowly enter information into a computer kiosk and are informed that they will be texted 30 minutes before their inoculation time. Do not come during lunch hour. No one will be able to help you. And it appears the time posted varies.
A woman curtly told me, "It will be five more minutes of lunch, and then there are two people ahead of you." Then she abruptly opened the door and walked into the small room and closed the door. There was no hint about how much time we would have to wait. I sat down and waited 30 minutes. Then a man holding a child came out and the door closed again. I waited about 20 more minutes and discussed the situation with two women who used the kiosk. We agreed there should be more interaction between the nurse and patients waiting. Also, we could not understand why the kiosk indicated there would be 48 minutes wait for the next patient.
I went to the pharmacy and began to tell them the issues we were having and a pharmacist "Deedee or Deezee" immediately went into "we are not a part of the Minute Clinic" mode and rudely interrupted my complaint with the treatment. When I told her she was being rude and should listen to my complaint before speaking, she repeated the mantra and gave a disparaging shrug and facial expression that told what she thought of me and my problem. If the Minute Clinic is not truly a part of CVS, why is it marketed as being a part and it is in the same building? It IS "CVS Minute Clinic".
I walked out after wasting more than one hour. I will get my flu shot at the South New Hope Rd. CVS where they always treat me with courtesy, respect and professionalism. I will take my grandson to his pediatrician in Rock Hill.
I have never met such rude and disconnected pharmacy personnel. The two experiences with the CVS and its Minute Clinic at 1057 E. Hudson Rd. are my worst ever at a pharmacy. This year was the final straw. I will not come back to this location. These people need serious customer service training. read more
