The care was so intense we were there for over an hour with constant contact with medical personal. The staff were kind, thorough, and very professional. I was sent to this location by my physician as a referral for a Chest X-ray. I was given the proper paperwork. Upon arrival the check in process was extremely slow for the number of people waiting (3). Once I was addressed and being checked in, the assistant stated that because I was a walk-in ( yet I was referred) they would not file on my insurance and had to pay up front. I've been scheduled for an MRI for weeks and on the 8/30 they call and leave a voicemail saying " they have to reschedule" and to call back so I can reschedule. I call and leave a message. If I could give negative stars I would. Provider Ashley Mezzanotte, was BEYOND rude. took her 30+ min to come and see me and only came after I asked how much longer it was going to take. I have been extremely sick for the past 2 weeks, (symptoms include vomiting) and she told me "just get some flonase or something" before even checking anything on me. Then, when she went to check my ears, she proceeded to say "EW. You have so much wax in your ears" i had swabbed them right before, so i knew that was not true, and even if it was, how unprofessional of her to say in such a tone. Did not check anything else, and left the room. Medical assistant was very kind and brought back discharge paperwork (that only had flonase as the advised treatment) It was the most mortifying experience i've had at a medical office and i would advise against anyone who is seeking LEGIT treatment visiting this establishment. read more

I went here due to having bronchitis and everyrhing was good until they had me come to the back room requesting payment for deductible after paying ny copay when i signed in. When I asked if I would be refunded for overpayment they said yes! Almost 2 months later, no phone calls, no updates. Finally spoke to the billing manager and she continued to give me no time frame for the refund accept saying she has to submit a request. Not only did I wait over 3 hours, I was then told test I needed could not be preformed. I requested they call nearest open cvs for my 3 prescriptions since I want familiar with area. When I got to CVS, pharmacy had already closed. After finding the next nearest CVS that was open, pharmacy said only 1 prescription called in snd since EmergencyMD was closed, pharmacist couldn't fill the other two! Awoke with severe pain and ended up in ER. Next morning EmergencyMD called to say I could schedule my test anytime now that they had all the equipment working. NOT A CHANCE in H///!!!!! read more

I'm appalled at the service I tried to receive today. The waiting room was packed. Nobody in masks. And more then half of the staff weren't wearing masks at all. Or had them dropped down to their necks. One receptionist didn't even have a mask. How can you be a place of care and not enforce the most basic and essential safety practices right now? Do better. Awesome experience compared to regular urgent care. Not only is the location beautiful and updated, the staff is very friendly. Previously I was treated like crap from all the nurses at Urgent care. I was seen very quickly and all the testing came back quickly too. (Positive strep results BOOOOO) my total wait time was about 10 minutes till I got seen. The only negative is I saw 2 diff nurses and 2 different doctors. I think 1 was triage nurse and 1 was the actual doctor. I'm not holding that against them though because everyone was awesome and friendly and very empathetic. After talking to one of the nurses, she explained that the doctor that built this location was primarily focused on being very different from the regular MD360 and urgent care. I definitely think he succeeded. Ohhhh the biggest plus- they are considered specialists and not emergency so I was able to pay a lesser copay! #score So .... If you are sick, it's the weekend and you feel like doo doo, come here!!!! read more

I can't say enough great things in regards to the doctors and direct staff, however the back office gives nothing but run around I have been trying to get a refund back on my account since June and have been sent back and forth from billing company to Office Manger(Johanna) which will not read emails or respond unless called, with what I thought would be a simple process to get back funds that have been held since 2017 and now 2019. Gottileb tells me today after what suppose to be a refund sent to me asap. I am being told the check comes directly from the facility from the billing company in which this didn't just happen over night for this process to start. I have worked more than 40 hours trying to get what is mine and still nothing. My insurance pays immediately but if there is a refund u can forget it. My second time here, I was seen pretty fast. Everyone was very nice and professional. Had to have X-rays and they were explained to me very thoroughly I thought. This is an advanced urgent care and so they have mri machines and other types of equipment that a traditional urgent care center may not have. read more

This might be a weak 5 star review, but it meet's all my requirements: Great service - friendly and knowledgeable for sure! The place was clean, exam rooms were nice and private and the cost was reasonable - all things considered. They were able to provide many tests that normally would be more expensive at a hospital or unavailable at a doctor's office. Though I was not the patient - I took a colleague of mine from another country there and the staff helped us manage our company's foreign insurance program and in the end - all expenses were paid by the company and my colleague didn't spend a dime. There was however a slight fee next door at the Pharmacy, but the staff there were friendly as well. Overall - with the free refreshments available and all things considered - it was a great place to go for those minor issues that aren't emergencies, but still need to be treated. It's a weak 5 star because of the speed - I really didn't expect to be there for almost four hours, but that included the exam, a sonogram, a urine analysis and the paperwork! Where do I start? I've should've known better than to go to this place after reading the terrible reviews m. If I could give zero stars that would be more accurate. I went on a Saturday and of course there are no doctors in staff just residents which is fine. I clearly said I wanted to get an ultrasound because I needed peace of mind due to spotting I had. They gladly took my copay 2 hours later I see a resident who is unsure on how to proceed grabs another resident who says their ultrasound machine is outdated. They assured me my visit would be canceled and I would be refunded. I double checked with the receptionist who was more concerned with her phone and she nodded yes I would be refunded for my wasted time. Two weeks later nothing. I call speak to billing who tells me because i peed in a cup they treated me. What they did with my urine who knows I still don't have any results of any sort. She proceeds to say that the ultrasound isn't outdated there wasn't any techs that day. So in other words the people I'm charge of treating patients that day are not capable of treating patients. I guess one has to ask themselves just how important their health really is prior to being seen here, as there are other options. My son-in-law took my granddaughter to this business yesterday. 30 seconds = $157.17. The physician literally took 30 seconds to look in my granddaughter's ear...$157.17. They charged that, saying it wasn't covered on their insurance, while it truly was covered. What is worse is that they basically tried to "upsell" some tests, also saying they weren't covered under insurance. My son-in-law declined the tests, because he knew things didn't sound "right". After the appointment, he called his insurance (reputable insurance company) and he was advised that ALL of those tests are/were covered. Lastly, they told him he has a $300 deductible...100% false. Beware of any business who would lie to make money. Do they really care about the patients? These actions make one question. We won't be back. read more

I vowed never to go back here after my last experience. Unfortunately all other urgent care facilities near us were booked on this Saturday and I had no choice. The fact that there were only two other people in the waiting room when I arrived and all other urgent cares within approximately 20 miles were booked is telling indeed. Over the years my family and I have visited Emergency MD a handful of times as an alternative to going an emergency room. Each visit they could not verify our insurance benefits properly and we were charged (and paid) hundreds of dollars at the time of service when we should have owed a small copay. Our final visit was a weekend and I politely explained to front office staff about repeatedly being overcharged and that I would return on Monday with our benefits printed out and when she could speak to BCBS herself. She came back with the physician that treated me that day (owner or part-owner of practice,) who proceeded to insult me and compared the situation to someone going to a restaurant, eating, and not paying for food. He was condescending. He was a bully. I gave him $100 in cash as a token of good measure (and honestly I thought he was not going to let me leave) because I knew if I paid the enormous amount they were requiring it would take months to be reimbursed. Sure enough, on Monday the rep from BCBS confirmed for them that I was correct, we only owed a $20 copay. The rep from BCBS also stated all of our benefit info was available to the 24/7 online and she couldn't understand why they repeatedly made the same mistakes. The office manager was very apologetic and started paperwork to be refunded for our previous visits when we were overcharged. I learned yesterday, after waiting for 45 minutes, that I would not be seen because I "had been dismissed from the practice." I was refused medical treatment because of numerous clerical errors they had made in the past and that I insisted I would not be overcharged during that final visit. read more

I was very impressed with this place. My very first visit is when my son almost cut his finger completely off. He first went to a hospital ER he would have been waiting awhile my husband didn't like that so he said let's go to Emergency MD. They took him straight back and they were able to save his finger. They also wanted him to come back everyday to keep a close eye on it. I knew right then that in any emergency situation this is where I'm going. This is an incredible ER facility. The drs are very professional and can handle any type of emergencies or illnesses including complete lab work, X-rays, CAT Scans, MRI's, etc. My family has had a couple of emergencies and we received the most wonderful care. Extremely qualified Drs and nurses. You don't have to wait an awful amount of time and you will leave with a complete diagnosis and a full treatment plan. Expect to pay your deductible up front - and rightly so. Its is privately owned and operated. The pharmacy next door is also very good and very convenient. The care and compassion we received at EmergencyMD was a HUGE upgrade from our experience the day before. I came to the cherrydale location after a few days of horrible stomach pain. The polite and professional staff were able to get me in within minutes and started tests. Everyone from the front desk, nurses, medical assistants to Dr. Brancati were unbelievably nice and caring. You can really tell this place cares for its patients vs spending hours in a ER. Not to mention this place has virtually everything a hospital visit can offer. The facility is clean and comforting with beautiful flowers and high ceilings. Emergency MD is absolutely the best facility in the area! I was there for severe pain all over the mid section. They immediately took me to an examining room and Dr. Brancati came right in to see me. I received pain medication and was properly diagnosed within a very short time. Since I needed immediate surgery, Dr. Brancati made arrangements to get me to a hospital right away. I went there and the woman at the desk said they don't take my insurance, which by the way is Blue Cross Blue Shield. On their website, however, it says they do. So I left and called the insurance department, I was informed they do so I went back. I was told they don't accept the "plan" from my insurance. If you only accept certain plans from insurance providers you do accept, that needs o be stated on your website and by your department when clients call. Saying you accept "BCBS" makes people believe you accept all plans from them. Get it together. read more

I went to Emergency MD because I tripped down the stairs and hit my head on the floor. The staff took me in immediately for diagnostics. They helped me fill out the paperwork given my compromised state. Others have complained about the facility not taking their insurance. I have United Medicare and they took mine no problem.
