When there are only two other options in town and you're used to being treated like you're a nuisance; this urgent care is a breath of fresh air. I went online in search of an appointment. Making an appointment and having all the services they provide and estimates if you're cash paying was a nice tool. Thank goodness, I have amazing benefits. Just like that I selected my time and checked in ten minutes early; easy peasy! They also have all paperwork and the insurances they accept sent to you via text. If you do this ahead of time, check in is so much quicker. Having a care provider prioritize your time is huge for me. I had a million other things to do. The care provider was thorough in her care and addressed all of my concerns. I appreciated the ladies that took care of me from check in to check out. My prescription was sent in and I picked it up an hour later. I look forward to them getting their DOT set up. I'll schedule to come here for that as well. I chose not to be seen due to only a Nurse Practitioner is onsite, if I'm going to pay for a high end deductible I want to see a real doctor, MD. I have already made the mistake of having a Physician Assistant treat me to be given the wrong dose of medication. Be careful with your health.

I had an episode where I was in and out of consciousness for 3 days, vomiting and diarrhea. I went to him for a referral to get testing for Addison's disease as this has been a recurring problem for decades. I've had multiple symptoms of Addison's disease since I was a child. He literally belly-laughed, guffawed, at the very idea. He was so loud he could be heard all the way out to the waiting room. He refused to give me a referral for testing. Thereafter his receptionist was consistently rude to me - I don't know if that was based on what she heard out in the waiting room or if there was further discussion about my craziness after I left. I ran out of thyroid meds a while later, and he was out of town and the receptionist refused to ask his stand-in to give me a scrip to tide me over until he got back. This resulted in me running out of my thyroid meds, which eventually resulted in yet another Addisonian crisis (low thyroid pulls cortisol low and eventually triggered a full-on crisis for the untreated Addison's disease). I lost 35 lbs in 13 days this time. My son had to come from Texas to Reno to get me, I was that sick. Had to sell my house, pack up, and move. He was shocked when he saw me. I was in very very bad condition. So I FINALLY was tested for Addison's disease (it took another year after my son took me back to Texas to even get scheduled for testing) and guess what ... I HAVE ADDISON'S DISEASE. Of course had I realized he was a DO and not an MD I never would have gone to see him for anything besides the medical marijuana paperwork. However I have to admit, none of the MDs I have had interactions with on this issue over the past 50 years were willing to test me for it either. In fact the doctor who finally scheduled me in with an endo only did it because she was determined that I was a head case and I would finally get my come-uppance. When I saw her after the testing and told her the results, she was actually DISAPPOINTED that I really did have Addison's disease. Needless to say I dropped her. But of all the doctors who dismissed my concerns re Addison's disease, he was the worst, the most dismissive, and the rudest. He was also equally as wrong.

I made an apt for 1:45 because I knew she wouldn't be able to wait HOURS. We waited maybe 35 mins to be seen from our apt time. Not bad at all. She was scared at first when we went back. But once the nurse gave her some stickers she warmed right up. The nurse was wonderful with her! And then the Dr came in and he was great too. He was so kind and she felt comfortable with him. I'm very happy with the care we got today! Thanks again to the staff there!!!

When I shared some information about my symptoms she was very impatient even aggressive in her facial expressions and body language. I went back the next day, saw a different practitioner and was told I had a sinus infection & prescribed antibiotics. I knew I was very sick and it was getting worse.

Wait time was minimal before being called in to pre-op on my surgery day. They have a big screen in the waiting room to keep track of patients which was pretty nice. Restrooms close by and clean. Sarah was my nurse and she helped me feel at ease during my procedure prep. We chatted and compared our Italy trips while she got me dressed and took vitals. My Dr came shortly before my surgery and went over a few things and left me in good hands. Everyone there was friendly and thorough in explaining what would be happening. Before I knew it I was wheeling into the operating room and given my anesthesia and lights out! I awoke in the recovery room and was asked by Joe if I was in pain. I was barely awake but said yes so he gave me some pain meds in my IV which helped quickly. I was able to wake up more and helped to get dressed to leave. I was wheeled out to my ride and felt ready to go. My only other hospital experience was with Renown but now I feel confident in going to NNMC in the future if necessary!

The bill read: "Need to set up a payment plan? Call customer service at..." Hoping to do just that, I called the 800 number shown on the bill. I was on hold for 35 frustrating minutes until I got connected with a representative who's command of English is "not exemplary", requiring me to ask her several times to repeat things she said so I could understand her. Despite the bill stating that payment in full was due "yesterday" (Sunday 2/22/26), I was told my bill was not "finalized" yet and that she could not set up a payment plan until it was. I asked when that would happen and she suggested I "call back in a week or two" (meaning: she didn't know). Extremely frustrating!!

I was last in for my DOT renewal at the urgent care last week. They only take walk-ins M-F 8am-2pm when I called ahead. I planned on taking care of it on my day off, but since I was already off that day for my kids appointments I thought I would sneak in, in an open window. I was surprised how I got in with ease and filled out all my paperwork on my phone. Maribel was great in getting me through all parts of testing and Dr. was the same one I had seen for my work injury got me in and out within an hour! I am impressed with their service and will be back here for all of my DOT needs in the future. Thank you all for getting me in and out!

I dropped by Renown Urgent Care because my arms were tingling. After a couple of minutes, the nurse (Selena, I believe) fetched me, checked my vitals and had me wait for the nurse practitioner (Erin). After a few minutes l, they determined I needed and EKG. After the EKG, the nurse practitioner said the EKG results looked but as a precaution, she suggested I go to the emergency room. All the staff at the Urgent Care were super-nice and professional; my visit was brief, purposeful and pleasant, despite the reasons that brought me there in the first place.
