Wait a minute! No, wait 120 minutes! I usually go to the Irvine CVS for my Flu Shot, but I could not make it down there right now so I popped in here. In Irvine, you may have a 1 or 2 person wait of 15 -20 minutes. Little did I suspect that this minute clinic is a major hangout for the entire community! I checked in, and the computer told me that I will be seen in 1.5 hours. It had a long list of patients initials before me. I kept staring at it....I refused to believe that it was going to be more than an hour and a half for a flu shot. I thought it was broken. Then I looked around and like a busy doctors office, people were waiting, kids were running up and down and screaming. So I decided that if I have that much time, I am leaving--I have other errands to do and will come back before 1.5 hours and make some use of my day. And the computer tells you that you will get a text 30 minutes before your appointment. Perfect. I return 1.4 hours hours later--no text yet. Check the screen and I it says that my wait is still 40 minutes! OMG. They are still not ready for me. No problem--I go to the car and get my laptop out and come back, and sit in the waiting area and start to get some work done. 20 minutes later, I was called in. The Nurse Practitioner was very pleasant and professional. She gave me exactly what I was waiting for: A dose of the super powerful CVS Quad, Single Shot, Preservative Free flu vaccine (You doctor will not have these good ones because they don't want to pay for it--is the reason I go to CVS. I would get my flu shot at CVS if I was you.) Anthem paid 100% past 2 years. Blue Shield paid after I pushed them 3 years ago. Before I was able to tell her I hate needles! it was over. I almost could get one everyday. It was worth the wait. Now I am ready to meet the most germ infected individuals on this planet without worry. read more

Ridiculous. They charge an additional $139 "visit" on top of the $120 ANTIGEN Test!!! Insurance may or may not cover the visit charge. So deceptive! Buyer beware. Oh- and then you get to wait 1-1/2 hours on hold waiting to discuss with a brick wall. Never again. read more

My mom is obsessed with CVS. Like, OBSESSED! She loves to print photos of her grandsons ;) So when I told my mom that I needed to get a tuberculosis test for a new job, my mom said "Go to CVS!" and I was like "Wha??? They have TB testing at CVS???" o_O Rule #1 - Mom is ALWAYS right! I did the research and lo and behold, it's true! CVS has these Minute Clinics that offer basic medical services such as tuberculosis testing. I walked in, signed in at the kiosk, waited less than 20 mins, met with the nurse, got my TB test, paid my $27, and I was outta there! My nurse, Susan Kaye NP, was super friendly, super helpful, and super efficient! Side note: Not all CVS stores have the Minute Clinics so check online where the nearest Minute Clinic is. Let me tell you, after two days of failed attempts of trying to get a TB test at either a regular doctor who couldn't take me for a few weeks or going to a scary free clinic where the drug addicts go, going to CVS Minute Clinic was a real time-and-energy saver! read more

Dr. Ahmad was amazing, she made me feel so comfortable, I needed a wellness screening for work, wasn't excited about It at all because I'm a heavier set guy, and I just get uncomfortable in those situations She really made me comfortable and we had a great conversation, she's awesome. Went in for an Ear wax removal like I've done several times before. Used the same exact insurance card/ info from the past several times that I've been here. But the nurse/ doctor who helped me was definitely rude,didn't get her name but she had a sleeve covering her I'm assuming tattoos. She called me inside the room where she had yet to clean up the mess from the patient before.The last patients gown was still on the cushioned bed. Pretty gross!! She didn't greet she just yelled out my name and what I was there for..she proceeded by asking me to go inside the room where she began asking me about my insurance, I mistakenly gave her the wrong info and she gave me a smart remark. I recently came in for a TB test, the nurse that administered the TB test put a Band-Aid over the shot site and told me not to get it wet. When I went back to have it read, the nurse said it could not be read because they are not supposed to put Band-Aids over the shot,. I was told it was not my fault and that I should be refunded the $114 charge. Well it has been virtually impossible to get to the billing department because no one picks up and the default message says 'the office is closed'are now closed I've called all day long for days at a time and the office is always closed. I don't think the billing department exists! I spoke to 3 different customer service reps, Heather, Hector, and Junior who by the way were all very nice, but all of them were ineffective in contacting the billing department as well, they kept transferring me to the number which repeated the office is closed! I will still try to get my $114 refunded because, as we all know, money ain't easy to come by these days LOL read more

I came in at 3:30pm during a weekday, thinking there wouldn't be a long wait. But unfortunately, there was only 1 nurse practioner working, and 6 people ahead of me. So if not for the 1 hour wait, I would give the review 5 stars. The sign in kiosk is great. Tells you how long the approximate wait is, how many people are ahead of you, and allows you to input all the necessary info. They also text you to let you know to return to the area since you are almost going to be called. I came in for a flu shot and another vaccination, and I saw Maryam Ahmad, the NP. She was thorough and answered all my questions - overall GREAT (5 stars!). read more

"Minute" Clinic is absolutely right! This service is incredible and a must for busy professionals. I've been fighting pink eye for a couple of weeks and finally had to get to the doctor. Making a traditional appointment is so time consuming, and my mom actually suggested I visit the Minute Clinic at CVS Manhattan Beach which she happened to notice a few weeks before. I went in on Saturday morning and was the only person waiting. Within 10 minutes I saw a Nurse Practitioner who checked me out, filled my prescription, and had me out the door quickly without feeling like I wasn't examined properly or rushed. They even took my insurance (although without insurance the cost is only $70). The best thing? I got a follow up call two days later from the NP to see how I was doing. LOVE IT! read more

My mom clued me into this place, being that my regular doctor is completely across town and it takes a while to get an appointment, I thought I'd check out this service. A nurse practitioner is the one that checks you out, I found the office/examining room pretty much like my own doctors office. I was asked pertinent questions about this particular bug that was not leaving me after a number of weeks and was also asked would like a copy of this report to be sent to my own doctor, cool! Unfortunately, my insurance didn't cover this visit which was $89 out of pocket. With the time saved by just walking in and not having to drive to South Pasadena, it was worth it. Went here on a Sunday (1/10/15) evening for the first time. They stayed open just to help me! They have limited hours so I would check before heading there. John helped me and he was amazing! Great hire whoever hired him! I have to say he was really professional, nice, and knowledge. He got me in and out fast. Went to the Minute Clinic inside the CVS at Manhattan Beach and was so glad I did. It's in the Manhattan Village closer to Marine Avenue so there's a lot of parking open and they're open on weekends! You don't need an appointment which is nice for those short notice or unplanned needs. Janet and Maryam (nurse practitioners) helped me and both were very nice, professional, and knew what they were doing. The office is private and clean. Booked an appointment online. Received a text and email confirmation with a time and reservation #. Arrived before my time and checked in at the kiosk and got message that my reservation # was invalid. Waited to speak with doctor on duty who had my name on the list and confirmed my reservation #, but said since the system didn't confirm my number and it was too late in the day I would need to try again the next day. Other people waiting confirmed the time I arrived, the doctor had me on her list of patients yet would not see me and told me to come back. Another person waiting had the same experience and was back for a second try. I waited ALL DAY for that appointment slot. Had I known it was MEANINGLESS I would have tried another clinic. My husband had a terrible sinus infection. We have to pay out of pocket for dr visits because we are self-employed and to be able to afford health insurance we have an $8K deductible. We tried the minute clinic and were we pleased. All prices are posted (the visit cost $69 so much less than if we had gone to our primary dr). No appointments. Just walked in. There were a couple of women ahead of him so we had to wait about 40 minutes (actually less than if we had gone to our primary dr, no problem for me I was able to wander the store!) there was only one nurse practitioner on at the time. Joon Chang was very nice and pleasant and very thorough. We left with a prescription for an antibiotic which was electronically sent to the pharmacy (we live closer to the Marina CVS but I hate that pharmacy hence we drove to this one). The next day we received a call asking how my husband was doing - nice. I highly recommend this Minute Clinic. High marks for the service and cost. We were very, very satisfied. There is a huge list of services they offer. They serve patients 18 months and older. They are open 7 days a week (Mon-Fri 10am-6:30pm, lunch break 2-3, Sat-Sun 9am-5:30pm, lunch break 1-2) As a side note our friend who also had a sinus infection went to an ear, nose and throat dr, he had to make an appointment, walked out with the same antibiotic prescription and paid $200. read more

DO NOT come here for a TB test. It is the worse possible place you could get one done. I went here based on previous reviews that made it sound very convenient, not the case. When I had it administered, after filling out all the paper work I was informed that the total cost would be $64! I decided to go through with it because I was already there, had already completed the paperwork, and needed to get it done. When I went back to get it read the wait time was an hour and a half, and this was on the middle of a weekday afternoon. Like I said this is the worst possible place you could go for a TB test. So much better than the CVS on Pier Ave in Hermosa. The store is very large and laid-out nicely and in an organized fashion. The Minute Clinic is a great addition to this store. Short Story: their menus say a lower price but once you get in the office they will quote you twice as much. BOGUS!!! Long Story: So their "menu of prices" reads that a "comprehensive test (which means (1) cholesterol (2) diabetes and (3) taking of blood pressure is "$59-$99. I had read about "other clinics" charging more than they stated. .....As soon as I sat down the guy asks, "what are you here for?" I told him "I am here for the Comprehensive Test for $59 dollars." (I made sure to state the price because I wanted him to know I was not here to get a higher price.) He said, "it is $130." I said, "but the menu says $59-$99." He said, "that does not include Lab Tests". I was angry but I stayed calm. .....the long and the short. This place is a scam or why else would they put FALSE pricing on the sign. SCAM Alert. I came to this clinic on June 15, 2018 with horrible ear ache. I was examined by nurse practitioner named Dominique. She was very detailed and hands on. I had wax buildup and a underlying ear infection from a sinus infection. She cleared up my issue and told me what to do with regarding my ear infection and the medication to help my sinus infection. It took 2 weeks for everything to be cleared up. I thank her and appreciate her services. I'm better and slowly getting my hearing back... I'm a happy camper read more

DO NOT GO HERE FOR ANYTHING ESPECIALLY IF YOU HAVE KIDS!!!!! REALLY IT SHOULD BE ZERO STARS BUT SEEING AS YELP WON'T LET ME POST WITHOUT A STAR RATING HERE IT IS. I cannot express my anger enough at how this clinic is ran the incompetence baffles my mind. I brought my son here with the hope to get a flu shot for him sadly it just wasn't in the stars. This clinic's extremely poorly ran and a part of me worries that their customer service may reflect in their medical work. So here's what happened I came in with my two year old and filled out the electronic check in patient name, birthday, identified myself as the parent since he is 2 years old and provide my contact phone number. Next screen they wanted the patients address and phone number (he's 2 so once again my phone number and address). Then they wanted my number again to send a text right before they are ready to see him.Then they wanted permission to call in regards to the appointment. REALLY TO BAD THEY DON'T ACTUALLY LOOK AT THEIR OWN PAPERWORK and I promise I will get to that. So after filling it all out the screen said it would be 78 minutes, so we did some shopping in the store which took a whole 30 minutes. Eventually we moved on to the adjacent mall and got the text saying we would be up soon. We finally see the practitioner and are informed "we don't have any for kids". When asked why he didn't call us to tell us before we wasted an hour he claims he couldn't. NO WAIT A MINUTE!!! DIdn't I provide a phone number THREE TIMES while checking in. He told us he can't look up that info. NOW WAIT A MINUTE?!?! WHY NOT HAVE US PAGED IN THE HOPES WE WERE STILL IN THE STORE? I just wish he would have stopped lying to us and owned up to his mistake all he had to do was page us and to go a step further how about posting a sign that said "OUT OF FLU VACCINE FOR CHILDREN SORRY FOR THE INCONVENIENCE". He also claimed he tried calling another clinic to check for us but I was able to make the calls faster than he could. I just cannot understand why he didn't call me or paged me since he claimed he looked for us after we checked in. So bottom line GO ELSE WHERE!!! read more

I love the service, but their procedure for waiting is absurd. I signed and the computer said my wait time was 1 hour 10 minutes. I had an ear infection and so I waited. After waiting an hour the nurse comes out, walks in the person ahead of me and says she won't be able to see me because it's her lunch. Of course she should have her lunch but you cannot tel a person that they will be seen in an hour, have them wait an hour and then turn them away. It was 1:20 and she told me to come back at 3:15. Umm no I have kids that I need to pick up at 2:30. I'm now at Providence urgent care. I've only been here for 10 minutes and I'm already seeing a doctor. read more

Was feeling under the weather - stopped into CVS to get some Sudafed - realized they had a "Minute Clinic" and thought - "Why not just make sure I don't have an infection?" I was seen in a matter of seconds - just after completing my electronic registration. The NP who saw me was an amazingly kind and empathic man. He did a rapid strep test - yep - I have strep. Wrote a prescription for antibiotics and recommended gargling with salt water because "the prescription gargle tastes terrible and most people don't like it." It was so wonderful to be seen so quickly by someone who actually cared and apologized that "you feel so lousy." I recommend this Minute Clinic - with slight reservation - I don't want it to become so busy that they can't see me when I need them! read more

Waited for hours (over two days) and was unable to get in for an appointment. Pharmacist was not only unhelpful, but condescending and rude. I made an appointment online for 4:15, and when I showed up an hour early they said my appointment time had past and they couldn't fit me in. "Try again another day." The third time might be the charm but there's not a chance I'll be going back to see.
