I only came here because my usual urgent care place closed early that day and this was the closest…read moreurgent care location that accepted my insurance. I spent an hour here total, most of that time in the waiting room. I just walked in so perhaps if I had booked online I could have spent less time there. If you have the time, try booking ahead. Completing the online check-in process as a new patient was easy enough but it was a little annoying to have to submit driver's license and insurance card photos after the receptionist scanned both cards. Being able to view the waitlist online was nice. The medical staff were decent enough. Overall coming here addressed the issue I needed addressed, but I would rather go to my regular urgent care place.

When we walked through the doors of AFC North Andover for care for my elderly mother, Maria and Morgan at the front desk were incredibly rude to us. The way they treated us was dismissive, biased and verbally aggressive. When we told them they were being impolite, they responded with "If you don't like it, go somewhere else!". We will not be going anywhere else. This is our community and we are paying for the services they have committed to providing. We treated them with respect and expect the same in return. These are not quality employees. I'm shocked that AFC is employing people of low character and customer service skills. Hiring not one, but two, substandard and uncultured employees as the first impression with patients in our North Andover community is disheartening. I expected better from AFC. Then - we met Chris and Kayla (both absolutely amazing). Chris is the sole reason we are giving this place such a high review. He listened to us when we wanted to discuss the poor treatment by his front desk staff, then took steps to escalate our concerns. As a professional, he went above and beyond to provide immaculate care to my mother. We could not have asked for more excellent service. He is not only amazing at what he does, but he also advised us on the best way to be seen by Lawrence General. His advice worked. We are here now and were prioritized over other patients in the waiting room. Thanks to Chris.

DR.Sylvan ,this doctor and team gone down hill no empathy or communication for disabled people…read more Sadly 06/21/25 I became a paraplegic with brain injury. It was very difficult for me to contact and get through to this office. Then 08/13/25 we had virtual exam and went over all medications during I informed him I was almost out of 2 real heavy narcotics. I continue to message almost every other day reminding them today 8/21/25 was the last. They did absolutely nothing for me didn't communicate informing me health insurance would not cover no talks of existing count to begin taper and no talks of alternatives. They left a 52 yo crippled guy to get off 75mg Oxycontin with no taper. And sadly I've been on phone all day and finally got through to a nurse who confirmed she sent order in for a one of my medications #30 count of Oxycontin which I choose to pay for for my well-being so I can probably taper down without major complications and when I called my pharmacy they never received anything. This hospital and especially this team should be reported to DPPC for neglect and sadly lieing. This is such an embarrassment to disabled people.

I truly love this woman! Anyway, I only go to her for my annual physical but she is so professional/patient focused that I referred my boyfriend as well. She is so caring and actually takes the time to ask questions and not only listen to but answer all of mine w/o making me feel like I am taking up her time. She has a bedside manner like no other and I'll miss her someday when I leave MA. I also love Amie- Dr. Mandel's administrative assistant- so sweet and if Amie says she'll find something out for you, she means it- always smiles and makes you feel like you made a great decision by going to their office. The waiting room is clean and there is a t.v to help pass the time if there is a wait. You won't mind if you do have to wait b/c you know that you'll get the same attention that Dr. Mandel is giving to whoever she has is the exam room.

I made an appointment and visited Dr. Mandel and was blown away at her professionalism, honesty and downright knowledge of anything I was either curious about or interested in. She is a hands-on doctor who not only shows you how you currently stand health wise but helps you maintain or get to where you feel you want to be or where she thinks you have the potential of going. I would go as far as saying that she could easily be a life coach as well - she is just that well rounded and genuine about what she does.
