Made a purchase on December 2 , 2024 the 1/18 models cost me $834 where suppose to arrive on December 10, 2024 On December 11 I contacted Mint Models and got reply by Michelle she said they where stock in Germany or Italy she re assured me they will come by Christmas. On December 20 ,2024 they Shipped by Fed Ex ground and they only came on December 29 where Fed Ex was not able to deliver after 4 attempts. I finally contacted Michlle on January, 6 and told her that I would not be picking them up I was tired in chasing the Items which did not come on Christmas nor on New Year the Items went back to Mint Models and finally after almost 2 month the Issue a refund of $748 this CROCKS want to keep $43 shipping charge and Michale told me I was lucky they did not charge me restocking fee for the cars which never came to me that rich coming from company who did not ship them on time and Items which never arrived to my location. As mention by everyone don't buy from them go to Ebay and by the models there this crocked company sells on Ebay but the difference is Ebay protect you write away . We all buy first then go look for feedbacks I wish I looked for feedbacks before. Yelp claimed this business is closed not true change of address they are open and treating customers very badly. They should of gave my money back when this Item was on the way back no I had to wait one more week to get even $748 they used my money for 2 month made Interest on it and know ant to steel my $43. read more

This is the most unprofessional disreputable business I have ever dealt with. Last year on April 1st I ordered an actual 2022 Corvette Stingray from the Dealership and it arrived from the factory on November 30th. On January 31st of this year I ordered a model of the same car from Mint Models and to this day it never arrived. When I called to inquire a very rude rep named Michelle was totally unhelpful. I'm in New Jersey and this bogus company is across the river in New York, and I actually waited longer for these scammers to (NOT) send a MODEL than I had to wait to have THE ACTUAL CAR be built and delivered all the way from KENTUCKY! They sold me an open boxed damaged Alfa Romeo Giulia GTAm by Solido. At first, I thought the spoiler, roll cage broke during shipment but after seeing many blemishes and scratches around the model, even in random spots, that's when I knew. They received the model from their warehouse, saw the car was damaged but still sent it out. They sold me a terrible conditioned used model for $75 including shipping and their website discount. Go figure the models not on their website anymore, because I bought the only one in inventory, which was damaged and not specified that it was. Then you have to pay for own your shipping label to return it, and to send it back, it's $18 from where I am, and since they don't refund the shipping amount, I'm either out $75 for a damaged model or I get back a 1/3 of what I paid. Just going to keep it at this point. Someone else mentioned getting an opened box model also, go somewhere else. read more

Buyer beware! I am in the process of trying to get a refund for a pre-paid pre-order that was placed a year and half ago. After having waited for more than a year, I canceled the order. Mint Models told me I would be refunded the purchase price. After email confirmation of the cancellation, several phone calls, and promises that the "check is in the mail", then "let me check with our Accounting department", I am still waiting. In the most recent call, Michelle very cordially said, "I will check and follow up with you". ...Crickets. She never followed up. Makes me wonder is this a customer service problem or a cash flow problem? It's $194 for an Almost Real Maybach S680. FYI: Got it from MyDiecastCars in no time. I have been a repeat customer for Mint Models (purchased at least 5 models) . There has been one other snafu that caused me to cancel a previous order. In that situation I was told that an item was in stock and the delayed shipment was due to moving it from one warehouse to another. This warehouse transfer lasted for several weeks. I guess lessons in life cost money. This one appears to have cost me $194. Maybe I paid it forward for all of us. So, it's free for you. There are more reputable suppliers. Pre-ordered a car but it's been over a year and I have no idea if I ever going to see it. I did get charged with my card for the pre-order. The biggest dissapointment is that if you call to the number listed in their website, you will always get a recording saying "all operators are busy". I left a message asking to please get back to me and I gave them my phone number and no one ever called me. Likewise, I sent not one, but two emails asking for the status of the model and I had no answer. The customer service of this company is just terrible, and you better off trying to get your items somewhere else. read more

This business is terrible at business ! Bought a model at $250 purchase price without being explained to this was a 6 month to a year wait . . . . After finally contacting them I kept being told we will alert you when it arrives. Receiving the item 8 months later and they sent the wrong one . . . I contacted them sent it back as I was told they would send a replacement. After several phone conversations to find they had no more in stock and would be receiving any. They sent my money back to me And totally waisted 8 months. Never will I ever order from this business again. This is not how things should be handled. Prospect buyers be aware! This company has horrible customer service...actually it's much worst than that - see below. I pre-ordered a white Corvette in June of 2020. I was told that the ETA would be before the end of the year. I did not ever hear from them last year and followed up January 2021. I was told that there was a delay and they were awaiting arrival. I have been following up with Mint Models once every few months to check on the status but I always got the same response. Mint Models will never volunteer to provide you with any information but only when you ask. This is complaint #1. A week ago I reached out again asking for options. I was told by Michelle that I can choose another color or get a refund. I asked for another version and she responded that I would need to pay for the price difference. Why should I pay for the price difference when all of your prices have escalated from last year? This is complaint #2. I told her to refund my money and also told her I would file a complaint through BBB. She was not happy with that and responded with a condescending email basically telling me that it was my fault for paying for a preorder via Paypal. I told her she acted unprofessional and here was her response, word for word. "That is fine. While if you go back and look at my emails, anyone can see that I have been completely professional! You are a miserable person and clearly you have issues that go far beyond this transaction. I will pray for your mental and physical health. You should know this, we do not want your business and will refuse to accept any orders from you going forward from Mint Models or any of our affiliates. And the BBB will side with me when they see all the documentation. So feel free to waste your time." As a forty-year collector of model vehicles, primarily 1/18 scale resin and diecast, numbering into the thousands, I have had only one other occasion to purchase from Mint Models. The first transaction was totally without drama. My reason for limited patronage is due to the fact that Mint Models carries some of the best, and sometimes expensive, offerings from a variety of manufacturers and unfortunately most are out of my budget. Still, it is fun to visit their beautiful, comprehensive website and dream. On occasion I will treat myself to a model a little more than my usual price range as I like to sample one or two examples from different manufacturers to scrutinize their detail. I have a handful of Exoto, CMC, BBR, MR, etc. but most of my large collection is moderately priced. I was interested in the Mclaren Speedtail as it was featured at Mecum Monterey this year and I had been looking at a future Top Speed release. In my search, I found Mint Models offering a Tecnomodel version, in stock, and in my color preference. This model is normally about twice as much as the Top Speed but Mint Models had it on sale at a HUUUUUGE discount. Almost too good to be true. Having never owned a Tecnomodel, I decided to go ahead and purchase the model. Although I had trouble having my account identified in their system, likely because I hadn't purchased from them in such a long time, once in, my order was received. I placed my order in the midnight hour on the West Coast and Mint Models had it on its way within a few hours of their morning opening on the East Coast. I only paid for standard shipping but the model arrived far earlier than expected. I have to admit to having anxiety about all my model orders arriving safely when coming cross country and have received boxes that looked like they had been dropped from a five story building probably embarrassing the delivery driver who had to deliver them. Not in this case. Mint Models double boxed and double "popcorned" my model and it arrived in absolutely perfect shape. Once I unboxed the model, it did not disappoint as it was beautifully finished, detailed and even came in a display case that I was not aware of. As nice as the model was, Mint Model's service was even better. I have to admit, in my reconnecting with Mint Models, I was a little concerned with some of the negative reviews but took a chance anyway. I am in the habit of never giving bad reviews in favor of giving no review at all. If you have an ugly baby I won't stretch the truth and say it's cute, I'll say nothing. Fortunately, with this purchase I'm not in that position and felt inspired to write this "short novel." I'm sorry some people felt they had a bad experience but I can only speak of mine and in forty years of collecting and sourcing my models from dozens of vendors, this is one of the best if not "the best" transaction I have participated in. If I can find it in my budget, I won't hesitate to purchase from Mint Models again. read more

I was trying to find the perfect gift for a really good friend who is a big Formula 1 race fan. With a little detective work I found out his favorite race team, driver and track and came across the Mint Models website. One of the owners named Michelle answered the phone who turned out to be extremely helpful. Unfortunately for her, I do a lot of research and ask a ton of questions, but after speaking to Michelle about the different choices I believe I know more about the car model than the person I purchased it for. I didn't buy the car as a collectible for monetary value, just as a display gift, but it was a pleasure to find out I bought the last one in her stock of the particular car that met all of the needed requirements and noticed that an Ebay seller had the same model for almost twice what I bought it for. I felt like I purchased a home with instant equity. I also was in a bind for getting my order processed in time to arrive at my friend's home before I came to visit him. Michelle dropped everything she was doing to make sure it shipped out that day in order for him to receive it in time (that's customer service). The package was in perfect shape, arrived a day early and even had a personal note attached to the shipping box (impressive). My friend loved, loved, loved it and I found the overall sales experience at Mint Models truly enlightening. When I need another collector diecast car (awesome gift btw), I won't even shop around next time. It's one less decision in life I'll have to make. read more

This company is unreal! I pre-ordered a die cast model about 2 years ago. I contacted their customer service department earlier this year to see where the pre-order status was. I was told the model had not been produced yet. I asked the rep about notification BEFORE running your debit/credit card and she said YES they would contact me. Well, it is 11/9/2019 and I go to balance my checking account and there is a charge for something dated 11/8/2019. I was NOT emailed nor was I CALLED! My account has been debited, there is no order number in their system AND nobody is returning my phone calls! Beware of these guys especially if it is a pre-order - they are NOT very professional at all and I will NEVER EVER deal with them again! I always recommend working with them, especially for anyone looking to start or grow a hoby collection. I'm surprised by some of these other reviews, definitely not the same group I've been doing business with. I purchased a 2018 Dodge Challenger Hellcat in the "Go Mango" color and received a "Sinamon Stick color instead. I reached out to customer service immediately to inform them and did not get a response. After a second attempt I received a very generic and unprofessional reponse. It stated that the manufacturer sent that color but that it is the color represented in their website. I then called customer service spoke with Michele and explained that in fact the color and the picture on the website are completely different. After she further investigated she admitted the color and picture are different. Never once did I hear I'm sorry for the color change. All I did hear was that the manufacturer does that from time to time. This was not a $20.00 purchase this was a $200.00 purchase! She said I could return it and I told her I would keep the car but would appreciate some kind of COMPENSATION for the error which I have now made you aware of and what I got from Michele was" We are a small business and there's nothing I can do" Wow! I don't typically write bad reviews but the customer service was terrible!! I am an essential worker and I would never treat one of my customers this way especially if I want to keep their business. Ordered a diecast car model from their website and paid by PayPal. One and half weeks go by with no package or even shipping confirmation. I emailed them asking for status of my order. No response after 2 days so I called their phone number. No one answered so I left a message. Two days later (about 2 weeks after I placed my order) I get a refund notice from PayPal stating Mint Models refunded me claiming that the 15% off coupon code was not valid for the diecast model I ordered. First off, I did not see any exclusions to the coupon code. Secondly, if coupon code is not valid for my order then why did the system allow it to go through and take my payment? Third, why did it take 2 weeks to tell me this and only AFTER I had to email and call to inquire about my order? Their website claims customer service is their priority. No it isn't. Absolutely poor customer service! If there is a system failure and a coupon code was accepted even if they claim it should not then they should still honor the order. THAT is what good customer service is! Edit 11/24/17: This is in reply to Michelle from Mint Models. You must be mistaking me for another customer. The model I ordered was not a pre-order. Hence why I stated I waited 1.5 weeks for the package. If it was a pre-order then I wouldn't have waited that short a period wondering where my package is. Michelle's response clearly demonstrates lack of customer service as she is accusing a customer of not be able to read when in fact she is mistaken and assuming certain things (i.e. order was a pre-order).
