Don't get me wrong, I am so very grateful for the NHS and free health care in our country, but in Stirling, there needs to be some clarification as to what purpose the Minor Injury Unit serves and when to make your way to Larbert for accident and emergency. Due to my boyfriend's severe back pain, we headed to Larbert, hoping to get some help.
Long story short, we were sent here after the Larbert staff sent us away and booked us an appointment for that evening in Stirling. On the wall, there's a sign and it reads that they: do NOT treat back pain. My boyfriend confirmed and the doctor told him that, yes, if we had initially come to the minor injury unit, they would have most probably sent us to Larbert, only to be sent back. Because that totally makes sense, doesn't it?! - That's not a fun thing to have to do at the best of times, but when you're in need of medicinal attendance, well, I guess you'd be more than a little peeved in being sent back and forth.
Three stars because we were actually seen to here. - There was a relatively short wait time and they were able to prescribe some strong pain meds. read more
