By 8:15 the lab still wasn't open. The front desk staff checked and said several employees were running late due to the weather, which is understandable, but they also mentioned there were supposed to be five people working and they couldn't reach anyone. Around 8:30 a staff member opened the lab window but didn't turn on the lights or acknowledge the three of us waiting in the lobby. At 8:40 I went back to the front desk to ask if they knew when someone would be available. The staff member from the lab came out and said she was the only one there and that we should have come to the window or rung the bell. With no lights on and no acknowledgment to us waiting, this was confusing to all of waiting. Instead of addressing the misunderstanding, the lady became defensive. She mentioned she could do the blood draw, yet at that point I chose to cancel my appointment. I was not comfortable with her performing the lab work. Another staff member showed up minutes after who helped cancel the appointment. What made the situation more frustrating was that by then it appeared there were at least two people in the back while patients with 8:00 AM appointments were still waiting without acknowledgment. The front desk staff were very kind and helpful, but the experience in the lab area showed poor communication and customer service. After two negative experiences, I would not recommend this clinic.

I called the office explained the situation and was connected to the nurse station voice mail. I left a message right around 4pm on a Friday, received a call same day asking me to come in on Monday for labs. Fast forward 3+ months later and I'm still seeing those docs as i'm currently pregnant. I've had several appointments here for lab work, doc visits and ultra sounds. I never have had to wait long in the waiting room or to be seen by a doc. They run a pretty smooth ship. I have had one appointment mix up that the office apologized for, however beyond that I have had no issues. The docs are WONDERFUL! I have seen 2 in the practice and spoke to a 3rd that was on call and have nothing but wonderful things to say about everyone in this office. I would highly recommend this practice.

She was wonderful and cared about the health of me and my child. She relocated to another state and started seeing Dr. Adefris. She is by far one of the best obgyns that I have ever had. I am going through my second pregnancies and she had been on top of everything. HIGHLY RECOMMEND HER! As far as for the staff and the front desk... Adore. These ladies make me feel at home, remember me over time, and always make my day better.

Dr.Huberty and nurse Jenny are absolutely great as they help me feel comfortable. If anyone needs help I recommend Dr.Huberty as I have Developmental Disabilities and the first time I met her I told her my history with menstrual cycles and that I have been having pain and pressure due to my P.C.O.S ever since I got my period. I told her what my goal to help me where I have been wanting a hysterectomy for 11 years and I was finally relieved as she helped me and now I am almost 10 weeks out of surgery. I know that others have their own experiences and opinions and I honestly think you have to have your own thoughts as a doctor might be good for someone but not for someone else. It's like seeing a movie in the theater where you shouldn't judge until you know for yourself. As for me with my Developmental Disabilities it is hard finding the right doctors who you trust and feel comfortable with. I have a difficult time going to doctors and finally I found the right female doctor to help me. I know that I am Greatfull for Dr.Huberty. I get pretty emotional if I am happy or sad. I am just entirely Greatful for Doctor Huberty. Thank you doctor Huberty for helping me. I don't have the pain and pressure like I had.

I chose to leave my original care provider at 41 weeks and two days and I was terrified! Suddenly this crucial time turned into a search for a midwife who would care for me as if she had been there from day one. Shawn did just that and more. She truly listened to my fears and concerns; and my serious desire for a natural labor and delivery, despite my doubts. Both my husband and I felt safe, comfortable and important to her during prenatal appointments and labor/delivery. It was so clear we were more than a job for her--our family's health and happiness was her priority. She replaced any uncertainties I had with confidence, in a beautiful and supportive environment. Shawn found her niche in this world. Her passion for pregnancy, family and natural childbirth is easy to see through her experience, knowledge and personable approach. She even visited my family in the hospital the day after my daughter was born! I couldn't have felt more special or blessed by Shawn and the entire midwife group at Western OB-GYN! This was the best birth experienced I could have imagined and would recommend her to everyone!

I had Dr Pettit with my first pregnancy and am now trusting her to deliver my second this January…read more She is kind, thorough, efficient, laid back, and knowledgeable. I appreciate that she saves time for me to ask questions, allayed my fears, supported every choice I made (choosing not to do genetic testing, not taking many/any classes, wanting an epidural). She called me out when I was gaining weight a little to fast -- just told me to be careful. I'm SO GLAD she didn't tiptoe around it, drew it to my attention, then praised me in the following weeks that the weight gain had tapered. As a first time mom who is pretty laid back, I needed guidance but not chiding which is exactly what Dr Pettit provided. I had one experience with contractions that came on that I thought were the real deal (they weren't) that led me to call the after hours line to talk to a Dr. The Dr on call (not Dr Pettit) was super kind, helpful and walked me through a few questions to help me decide whether or not to go in to the hospital (I didn't end up going). Even though it was 3AM, this person wasn't my dr, she still treated me with respect and helped me. My delivery was pretty uneventful until my son was actually born -- he wasn't breathing at all. Dr Pettit could see that I was visibly distressed and talked me through what was happening while she was stitching me up. She assured me that this was pretty normal, that they were doing everything they could and that I should trust the process. She was so right. And I'm glad that she saw my fear and talked me through it. The new offices on 6565 France are BEAUTIFUL. The reception area is welcoming, plenty of places to sit. There's a small play area in case you have an older child with you. It's not the end all be all, but it's very nice that Associates in Women's Health is a technologically advanced office. You get blood results quickly. I knew the day I took my 1 hr glucose test before I even left the office that I failed and needed to come back for the 3hr. If you're hunting for a practice to call home- try Associates in Women's Health. I've had nothing but great experiences in my 2 years seeing them.

I…read moreexperienced a second miscarriage while at AWH and Allie Rodriguez, PA, was wonderful, caring, and provided good patient education. I saw Allie again for an annual check up and during my next pregnancy, and she is my favorite part about this clinic and I would recommend her services and care - I wish she could have been my OB. Other service providers at the clinic have been okay or disappointing. The front desk tends to be awkward. Only Tiffany tends to make eye contact and acknowledge your presence upon arriving - the others will not acknowledge you, so you can't tell if they are so engrossed in their work that they haven't seen you or if they are intentionally ignoring you. If you walk up to them or speak you get the "we'll be with you in a moment" - cool, just say that next time so I'm not wondering. Going to the doctor is a stressful experience for many and this cold welcome doesn't help. I was very anxious during my pregnancy because of my two previous miscarriages. The ultrasound techs were always wonderful and would tell you what they saw and what they were doing. The OBs themselves are kind of all over the place. You can't choose which provider will deliver your baby, so I opted not to see a single provider and instead meet all of them at least once so that I'd have a touch of familiarity on delivery day. I got okay to good impressions of all of the doctors during those visits except for Dr. Goodman who sped through "fat facts" - the things I was likely to experience or be at risk for being overweight and pregnant. While I do expect individualized medical care, what disappointed me was that she started out by apologizing for telling me these things (no one is more aware that I am fat than I am - have been my whole life, don't need an apology for sharing information if you believe it's important for me to have informed care). She then sped through the information, which included induction at 39 weeks, and I was so shocked that I opted to end the appointment rather than ask questions. I was still early in the pregnancy and just hoped to make it past the first trimester. There wasn't much notable about the other docs - they'd answer my questions and were not likely to offer up much info otherwise. The clinic was nice about me coming in between appointments to listen to the heartbeat to lessen my anxiety. The final straw was delivery day when Dr. Pettit swept my membranes without informed consent. I'm not saying I wouldn't have taken her expert medical advice, but you should tell me what you're doing to my body before you do it. After my final postpartum check up, I'm done with AWH.
