Once you see Lions Tap restaurant (good burgers by the way), just head north about 1/4 mile. There are a few parking spaces for you to stop at and there's a pipe sticking out of the ground that runs fresh drinking quality water year round. It is always clean and always cold. If you sit there and watch for awhile, you will see that every 3-4 minutes someone will stop, fill up a bunch of water bottles, and then get back in their car and drive off. I would guess about 200 people a day stop there. The Lion's Tap restaurant nearby even has some water containers there because they know a lot of people come there before or after going to the spring. There is also a small nature park and a stream there. It is very popular, but is the water coming from a pipe at a roadside stop safe to drink? Yes according to the city of Eden Prairie, who regularly tests it for safety. Although they warn that spring water's quality can change from time to time and it is possible to get a bad batch. It seems most people don't trust their public tap water for drinking regularly. It has long been known that plants don't do as well on tap water because of the chemicals used to treat the water (especially the chlorine.) Spring water is always cold because it comes from deep under ground. And it is always clean because the very dense soil filters out the impurities. It is forced above ground naturally because of the pressure the earth puts on it. It carries minerals natural to the ground. And many people are convinced spring water carries curative properties A gallon of bottled spring water costs more than a gallon of gas, and 1/4 of all bottled water (like Aquafina) is just filtered tap water (you have to read the label carefully.) It has recently been shown that a lot of bottled water contains harmful industrial chemicals (phthalate, adipate, or styrene) leached from the plastic bottle. I was weary that it would come out muddy but to my surprise it was crystal clear and not a grain of soil to be found in it. It did taste a little different than tap water though. It tasted a bit like the hard tap water (no water softener) I had in one of the homes I used to live in. After a few sips it seemed to taste even better than I was used to drinking. And surprisingly enough, the dry scaly skin on my shoulders became soft within a few days and stayed soft until I ran out of spring water. It became soft again when I went and got another batch. Go figure.

Located in Eden Prairie, this spring is set in a very pretty setting and the water flows continuously out of a pipe so it's easy to fill up your bottles. If I had more time, I would have hiked a little since there are some trails and it was a beautiful, chilly day. There's a nice little place to pull up and park near the spring, the day I went, it was fairly busy with about 4-5 people filling bottles and this was right before all of the craziness with coronavirus. My only advice would be to go early, that way you might be able to avoid the rush, if there is one. I recommend the spring not only for the water but it's always good to get out and see some of the marvels of nature.

However, sometimes you have to deal with stupid/rude/inconsiderate/selfish criminals. This small department does such a great job of protecting and serving our community while still remaining friendly and welcoming. They have a great presence in the necessary areas of town. I was particularly thankful of this on one unfortunate day in December. In a total "you can't make this stuff up" situation (I will spare you all the details), I was a victim of an auto accident where the driver stopped, then decided it would be a better idea to flee the scene. They didn't get far, just across the street, before six of Hopkins (and Minnetonka's) finest arrived at the scene to stop them in their tracks. Of course the driver did not have valid insurance, so I though I was on the hook for the repairs to my vehicle. Here comes the shout-out portion of my review. Officer Liz White was on the scene that night and took my statement. We exchanged multiple emails over the course of several weeks. She was super helpful in my case, getting me the required insurance information so I could get my car fixed on their dime instead of my own. Thankfully you have to show proof of insurance to get your vehicle from a tow lot, and she was awesome enough to get the info from the lot in order to give me a shot at getting my car fixed. In the late 80s, you could say that I was known to be a drug dealer in Hopkins. In those days compared to these days they didn't have a Real understanding of drug addiction etc. there was a police officer who reached out to me many times as he knew I came from a broken family his name was Jack Pratt. Now that I'm 62, I realize that he was an individual and his actions really made a great impression on me to this day. I must say, I was sad when I learned that he had passed away, It really did make me think about the interaction I had with him. He was a good man and very dedicated to his job and the people of Hopkins. He sure taught me a great lesson about life RIP

(pdp) Located in the southern part of the Minneapolis area, this is a very business-oriented suburb which features the massive airport for the region but also the even more massive Mall of America which is literally the biggest mall in America. It's a fairly wealthy suburb and has a lot of Caucasian elements - affluent, ethnically homogenous, not too much authentic international food, lots of chains - but also some cool places and some interesting local culture. But the main focal points are definitely the airport and the mall. Which are close together. When I come here it's usually to go to the mall cuz as much as I'm not a big mall person, Barbie really is and this is the ultimate Mecha of malls. I said Mecca but that too. I think.

The judge was furious, told my son he would be talking to her and apologized. But that's NOT the worst part. They removed him from a treatment center. Brought him there, did not give him the meds he was on for 4 days which caused him to go through horrible pain and withdrawals. I called twice and spoke with the nursing staff and they didn't seem to care. I will be reporting this to the state. That's horrible, thank God he wasn't diabetic!! Sadly, the treatment center even sent the medication with to.

This place is always packed. Lots of events going on. Service is usually super good and friendly…read morethough. Parking is usually pretty easy to find as well. Very much diner set up seating. Very home town bar feel. Usually a pretty awesome tap selection as well. The only part that sucks is the food. It's very, very mediocre since the menu change. Disappointing to say the least. We used to love their sheet pan nachos, but somehow they just don't have the same luster/flavor. We actually missed them so much I started making them at home.
