We got out and saw the sign on the door at the old building that they moved. So glad we got out the car and saw the new address and we went to check it out! We LOVED THE VIBE! Reminds me of downtown Las Vegas where I used to live. It's a cool spot! The staff, Michelle and Greg were so awesome! We enjoyed hearing some downtown Hammond history. The smash burger? OMG! The best I've had since I've moved to the Midwest! It was cooked right on the grill! Fresh! Hubby had the Caesar wrap and it was delicious! We so enjoyed the space, our time and the conversation! This skillet has potential, presentation and flavors were good, will really improve once the kitchen staff is trained on what a jalapeño is, how to cook it, and what proper portion sizing is. Came out looking great, half an avocado on top made nice presentation. Each of the first few bites had jalapeño in it, that's more than I might find in an entire meal ... so I started counting. Each of my first 20 bites had jalapeño, an amount that for most would have made the rest of the meal inedible and left them pleading for buckets of water. As an experiment, I went through looking for more, and I pulled out more than a full jalapeño from the rest of the meal. The fact some slices were charred and some raw says one thing about poor execution, but the fact a breakfast skillet was served with close to two whole jalapeño in it means the cooking staff does not know what to do with this. Manager was very appreciative of the comment, waitress said a person the night before had the jalapeño cornbread and went through 3 glasses of water to survive. I have had bad luck with this place before, but the manager and staff really seemed to be working hard today, will give it another try this week and hope to be able to get this up to a 3-star. In the next 10 minutes the waiter made it to 2 tables, the waitress 1, my table and one other ignored. I waited 20 minutes with no service of any kind so I left, the other table that was ignored left as well. I walked over to Burger brothers in the casino only to find they were closed, so I went to the buffet and they were closed also at 6pm on a Monday. Three tries to eat dinner, three strikes, a 1-star because I can't do zero.
