They employ people that boast many talents: short hair, long hair, edgy cuts, sexy styles, luxurious braids, etc. Lasine is amazing!! She cuts hair so well. When I originally came to the salon, my hair was in shambles. I attempted to go natural then decided to perm it again, and it looked like a thin, straggly mess. Lasine coaxed me into cutting it, and did a PHENOMENAL job. She gave me a whole new look and edge that honestly changed my life and filled me with more confidence. My hair has since grown back thicker, stronger, and healthier!! My wife had to cut her hair after braids and Lasine gave her a sexy new look! Betty, the owner, is friendly and also does an amazing job with hair! Kasey braids hair with such finesse that you'd think she was born to do this! I always get compliments on my braids even after I've had them for a month! Braids are now my new thing (because she always has me looking fly...and maybe I'm a little lazy).

Well, there is no special because I was charged the same price, not the Tuesday price on the website. The stylist also casually asked if I wanted a steam treatment, a $30 addtl fee but I asked the add-on charge while at the bowl getting washed and was able to make an informed decision. Otherwise, would have been really taken off guard at checkout. The press was well executed, however I specifically asked twice to not have tight curls....and when I was spun around to look in the mirror - I had tight curls all over my head. So I kindly repeated, I really don't want tight curls and she attempted to adjust, adding more heat. Everyone was pretty nice when I entered, the salon is moderately clean and not very loud. I just wish I got what I asked for and at the advertised price.

DO NOT go here if you value your natural hair!…read more I am beyond disappointed with the service I received at this Dominican beauty salon. I brought my daughter and myself in for a shampoo and silk press. I specifically chose this salon because it is known for handling natural hair. The first appointment went well--our hair looked silky, smooth, and beautiful. In fact, it lasted longer than usual. At the time, I thought they just did a really good job. However, things quickly took a turn. I am a licensed cosmetologist, and though I no longer work behind the chair, I know hair and I know chemicals. After a couple of weeks, I went to wash my own hair and immediately smelled relaxer. I tried to brush it off, thinking I was overreacting--but as my hair dried, I knew something was wrong. My natural curls were gone in places--one side of my head still had curls, the other side was limp and straight. This is a classic sign of chemical damage. My daughter's hair started shedding too. Her curls are also not the same, and we are both now dealing with severe breakage. It's a well-known concern in the Black hair community that some Dominican salons secretly mix relaxers into shampoos to make the hair easier to press. Let me be clear: this is not only unethical--it's dangerous. At no point was I told a relaxer would be used. There was no consultation, no consent, and more importantly, no neutralizing afterward. Just conditioner and heat styling. This is a recipe for long-term damage, and it shows. To the stylists at this salon: you had no right to alter the structure of my hair or my daughter's without consent. You've caused irreversible damage to our natural hair, and that is not something I take lightly. I am in the process of filing a formal complaint with the State Board, and I am also consulting a lawyer. If this has happened to anyone else, I urge you to speak up. This kind of negligence must be held accountable. Natural hair does not need to be chemically altered to be beautiful or manageable. We came for a silk press--not a secret relaxer. Be cautious and protect your crown. We deserve better.

I ended up chopping all of my hair off to start over. I visited the salon twice last year and started comparing photos where before i had big bouncy curls and after the visit to straighten my hair, my curls were gone after the first wash. Then i visited again but after my first wash i noticed a strong chemical smell and my curls didn't snap back. I realized they are secretly using relaxer in their conditioner. I'm devastated. My hair is ruined and now i must start over again.

So i went in today with my daughter. Was asked to sign in. It was about 8 minutes later that this older woman asked us what we were getting done. I told her. She said it would be $60 each. I said online said something different & the person I spoke with said the exact same price as online. She apologized, not for trying to rip us off, but for getting "the wrong price" TWICE!! Lol we politely declined getting ripped off by a black establishment and left. I will never ever EVER go there again.

Everyone is really nice and they are truly working hard to get customers in and out. They are reasonably priced especially for the Atlanta market where basic sew-ins can easily run $200 and up so I appreciate that they are budget friendly. Here is the problem ~ every time I get my hair done by them it lasts maybe 2 weeks if I'm lucky. I got this sew-in done on 11/17 and this is what it looks like today on 11/30. My hair has completely fallen apart in 13 days. All I can say is if you need a one-time temporary sew-in to take you to an event or for an occasion then yes by all means go here. My hair looked fantastic for the event I attended on 11/21. But if you need something to last more than 2 weeks you may want to look elsewhere.
