If you're put off by the overall number of stars earned by Mines and Meadows, I would encourage you to read the full reviews across several platforms. The complaints mostly paint the picture of the internecine disputes between the desired riding surfaces of dirt bikers vs. ATV riders, hardcore enthusiasts vs. beginners, members vs. day visitors, etc... I had a tremendous day at Mines and Meadows as a casual, inexperienced ATV rider! And my more experienced companions had a lot of fun as well. We took the 4.5-hour SUNRISE DAY TOUR and rode in a 4-seater. I had prepared myself for what could have been hours of bone jangling, followed by soreness the next day. However, brand new, and spotless, $26k machines made it as comfortable and safe of a ride as possible - even at breakneck speeds through heavily rutted trails. (Don't get me wrong - you will get jangled and jarred, and I wouldn't recommend it for someone with neck or back issues. But it's nothing like what my previous frame of reference was: tearing around on an old ATV with decades old shocks.) Some key points: 1) This is a premium experience at a premium price. If you have the means, I highly recommend it. 2) Great customer service: Our guide was inexperienced but personable and did a great job making sure that we took our full allotment of time and getting some great action photos and video which were delivered by email the following day. The owner clearly cares about the business and is involved in every aspect, down to giving the talk in the mine and ensuring that the service was very customer focused. 3) The wet and muddy part is exhilarating, and you do that just before the lunch break. You will be 100% saturated in muddy water and you should definitely wear boots and bring old towels, and a change of clothes & shoes. The post-lunch mine tour would have been a difficult and freezing experience in wet, muddy gear. 4) There are long stretches of driving on the wooded trails to get from one location to another. This is pleasant and relaxing. If you have multiple people in the ATV ask the guide to plan out some stops to switch out drivers. 5) If you're prone to motion sickness then sit in the front and take copious amounts of anti-nausea medicine. Go and have a great time!

Of all the times I have been here, this was by far the worst experience I have ever had. Thanks to ambassador "Cheryl" and her bad day, she wanted to make my family trip as bad as hers. Apparently I accidentally got my birthdate wrong by one day on the online form, and that was the tipping point of her day. Aside from almost having to provide a DNA test, she wanted my children to get out of the truck to proof their identity and obtain their wristbands out of the truck. No questions or affirmations were asked of them, and it was a pure power trip to prove her position as Queen of Check In. Meanwhile, the other 6 people as of noon on a Wednesday that did also attend this extremely very busy day of the week, must have had a great experience. But my daughter was appalled having to attempt to use this incredibly clean potty john while the ambassador "Cheryl" was more concerned about whether or not my birthdate was correct instead of a clerical error on my part. I cant say that I will be coming back here anytime soon, or even at all after this experience. "Cheryl" advised if I had an issue with her policy to take it up with management. So here I am... Shitters full.

Took a few of my buddies here for a bachelor party weekend getaway and we all had a blast. The 7 hour drive from NYC ended up becoming 10 hours after getting stuck in traffic trying to get out of the city and my own ignorance for putting in the wrong address in my car's navigation system. You can pretty much ATV anywhere on the east coast but this was the only place I found which was a reasonable driving distance from home that let's you navigate ATVs through pitch black mines. On top of that, they have a vast network of super fun off-road trails for you explore. From technical trails with rocky, rooty, twisty climbs, to mud bogs, to fast banked turns and jumps, this place has it all whether you like getting down and dirty or have the need for speed. We opted for the 3-hour tour for $185 and our guide, Steve, was very knowledgeable and friendly. He took us all over and we got to check out almost every aspect of their trails. After 2.5 hours, we finally made our way into the abandoned limestone mines. It was truly a unique, one of a kind experience. The cabin we rented was nothing to write home about, but it served its purpose. There were a few surprisingly comfortable cots which were provided but other than that, it was a minimalistic cabin. We were also provided with 50 gallons of water, two charcoal grills, and a fire pit. One thing worth mentioning is if you have your own ATV you can just get a day pass or weekend pass instead of taking a guided tour. Overall, a very memorable weekend and I would definitely return for some more ATV action.

The salesman and mechanics were…read moreabsolutely wonderful to deal with but unfortunately the owners (who also do financing are untrustworthy). After purchasing a brand new electric bike from them they were "unable to provide me with any kind of warranty information" and I was told to "look for it on the manufacture's website." After finding the manufacturer's website there is no warranty information on the vehicle. I still purchased the vehicle, with a right mirror damaged although they told me they would order one to replace it, anyway and paid for it using credit card. After having this bike for 12 days and putting approximately 10 miles on it it broke down twice on me and left me stranded at work having to walk it home. Upon contacting the company, they told me to reach out to the owners. I did and spoke to a lady who was the owner. I explained to her the situation and told her that being as the bike was unreliable for being brand new I would just like to trade it back in. She told me that she would give me a different bike of same or lesser value or would refund me cash for 30% less than the paid price. I found this a pretty hefty deficit for only having the vehicle for less than two weeks. I reluctantly agreed to that and told her that I would need someone to pick it up as it was inoperable and I did not have a trailer to haul it. She advised me to contact the sales representative to arrange transport and then to call when he picked it up and we would then handle the refund over the phone. After the salesman picked it up, I called her like she requested. At that time she told me that she would have to wait for the vehicle to be inspected to make sure there was no damage before she would process the refund. I was upset because that was not what she told me over the phone the first time. I told her that I understood the reason for doing it that way but that it was unfair that she was not fully truthful on the phone. If she would have told me that it had to be inspected first I would have taken my own pictures of the vehicle before transport (they came to pick it up in an open trailer pulled behind a truck) because there was a possibility of damage during transport that I did not want to be held accountable for. She then told me that it was their policy that they do it this way (even though she originally told me that they NEVER do cash refunds) and that I should just trust them and the driver because they are "reliable and trustworthy." I then asked her for a timeframe for when the inspection would take place and when I could expect my 70% refund to which she answers that she didn't know because she doesn't deal with the mechanic's schedule. I told her that I didn't feel comfortable with all of this because it seemed shady to which she said that she would call me back when it was done and then hung up on me. I tried calling her back multiple times and left her a voicemail and she has yet to return my call. No bike, no money still to this moment. Unreliable products from a shady company. Would not recommend buying from them.

First off, the equipment was top notch, from the trailers to the 650 can am quads themselves. They were extremely burly, had 4WD and winches but in reality didn't need either except for the most challenging terrain. They are super fun 2 seaters though nothing broke down so we didn't need to put anyone on back. If you did have a break down though, you'd be in good shape. These things even have 12V cigarette style chargers which was great for 3 nights of camping in the boonies. Brian and mike even provided a plug kit in case we had any issues. The amazing trailer was very easy to load and was right sized for the quads so everything fit just right. We tried not to damage the equipment, but a few things happened that were above general wear and tear. Honestly, we all agreed that the charges after were fair, something like 10% of the total which included a destroyed helmet that was brand new. All in all we had a great time, with great equipment, and Brian and Mike took care of us so we will be back next year. Please be nice to quad 1, I want it back, it treated me well.

This is not an ordinary park so if you are looking for a playground, picnic area or baseball diamond you will be disappointed. In fact, depending on how far you go, you might be anyways due to the unsightly factories and disturbing "Animal processing" plant that you are likely to see while gazing about. But aside from those minor things, the trail offers a smooth paved path that is perfect for those of you who struggle with balance, use a wheelchair or enjoy riding a bike. Yet be prepared to sweat!!! Even though there are trees to the right side of the trail, it is outlined with an old railway to your left. The sweltering sun might give you the bronzed skin you desire but it might also give you some super harsh sun burn - so make sure you bring plenty to drink & sun screen! There was only one bench to rest at the entire strip I walked (to the intersection of Lover's Lane). If you own a pet, be smart about taking them out! Dogs can feel the heat of the hot pavement through their paws so if it's hotter then 70/75 I WOULD NOT take them for a walk here!!!! There are no trash cans either so be prepared to carry your poop bags the entire time & take them home with you. Like most trails, this too is open form dawn til dusk & all dogs must be leashed! No ATV's or horseback riding.
