there are much better accommodations in the area for a better price. Not nice people to deal with.read more

It's clean and that's about the best thing I can say. The photos and information provided for these…read morecabins is incredibly deceiving. The cabins are small, very small. The sleep capacity of the cabins while yes, pull out sofas allow 2 more people to sleep... it's just waaaaay too crowded for the amount of people the description says the cabins can hold. One cabin in particular only has bunk beds. Additionally, I hope you don't mind having to use the toilet sideways with your feet in the shower. Another point worth mentioning is the bridge you have to cross to get to the property. The bridge is on the verge of falling into the creek below. Not to mention the fact that getting over said bridge with a truck and trailer is what nightmares are made of. The bottom of our trailer drug the entire way across and with no where turn around after we crossed the one lane bridge from the main road that is currently under construction (which the owner failed to mention to us), we had no choice but to continue across the bridge and hope our trailer was not completely destroyed in the process! Lastly, as far as views go. Oh my. There's a run down and abandoned trailer directly across from the property. This trailer had frequent traffic. This traffic consisted of several vehicles where the party would park, exit the vehicle wall around the property once and promptly get back in their vehicle and leave. And it was never the same vehicle. And it was at all hours of the day and night. While the property has 24 hour surveillance, the owners should probably aim the cameras at the trailer and what could only be described as drug trafficking occurring a mere 15 feet away from the cabins. The views of the hillside from the front porch of the cabins are incredibly unsightly. For the price you are paying to stay here, you'd be better off looking elsewhere. We've paid the same price for much, much more luxurious accommodations. Book at your own risk.

During our March 2025 family trip to New River Gorge National Park, we wanted a classic, cozy cabin…read moreclose to the action, and Country Road Cabins delivered. We stayed in the Black Bear Cabin, and it was everything we hoped for. The cabin's location was ideal: less than 10 minutes from the New River Gorge Bridge, tucked away at the end of a private gravel road, and surrounded by over an acre of rolling mountain meadow (which was ideal for tossing a football with my son). The cabin itself boasts a well-stocked kitchen with modern appliances, a 50" smart TV for our movie nights, a stackable washer and dryer, a wrap-around porch for coffee while watching the fog lift, and even a hot tub to soak away the day's adventures. The cabin had three comfortably furnished bedrooms, featuring a luxurious king in the master with an en suite bath, plus a queen and twin beds in the other rooms, the cabin comfortably accommodated our family. We also enjoyed the rustic charm of the gas fireplace and the modern yet cozy furniture throughout. When we encountered one maintenance issue, the service staff was very responsive and resolved it quickly, keeping our vacation uninterrupted. The cabin's central location made it easy to explore other local attractions like Pie's & Pints, the Escape-A-Torium, the Bridge Walk, and plenty of nearby hikes. We left with lasting memories and a promise to return soon. Country Road Cabins will definitely be our go-to spot on our next visit to the area!

We stayed at the Love Shack Yurt on a snowy January weekend! We definitely enjoyed our time there…read more. The drive up was a bit rough since it did snow but it was very scenic. If you are looking for a relaxed quiet place to spend a weekend would definitely recommend. Super close to the National Park and will definitely be back during warmer days.
