Mineralistic is a bit like Garland of Letters but Mineralistic sells a ton more stones and decor things, less books and other useful gifts. Here you will be surrounded by stones and gems for healing, displaying and wearing. There are also tons of gargoyles, fairy figurines and incense. This is a very specific type of clientel, while Garland of Letters is more for anyone just looking for something different.

Long before South Street Art Mart was a thing I had art of its owners placed throughout the city. When they had the chance to acquire a space of their own they filled it with the works of several local artists within its community, and as such it's the perfect spot to find all art things that are local Philly and pop culture related. I love shopping at the Art Nart for gifts and things of my own because they have plenty of unique and reasonably priced items that cover a variety of ground. Whether you're looking for framed art prints or clothing, magnets or zines, light fixtures or hats, and then some, you'll find it within. And during times like the holidays, their website makes for a comprehensive gift guide that caters to all kinds of themes. Favorite finds of mine include framed custom prints of David Bowie and the Phillie Phanatic, Bob's Burgers and Serial Mom magnets, holiday cards with Gritty and Ben Franklin, and a long sleeve black shirt with a female version of Gritty on the front. When it comes to local art that's curated and sold by local artists, South Street Art Mart is definitely among the best spots to shop at.

This is a review for some exceptional repair work…read more I had a Navajo turquoise bracelet that kept trying to lose a stone. The first time it popped out, I thought I managed to get it back in. The second time it popped free I would have taken it to a jeweler, but the pandemic had forced everything closed. I should have waited, but I decided to try to repair it myself one more time. And while I did pin the stone without breaking it, I mangled the bezel. I was so heartbroken and defeated. When I could finally visit my local jeweler, I was disappointed to learn that he wasn't comfortable working with it because stones were lifted in the bezel. He admitted he'd end up using jeweler's glue, which probably wouldn't work out well because of the padding. Thankfully, he recommended Gary. I was still nervous about handing the bracelet over because I had wedged the stone, and it was one of the middle stones in a row, so there were other stones to tippy-toe around. But Gary put my fears to rest and told me that I would get the bracelet back looking like new again. He said that he had over 30 years of experience, and after this repair job, I completely believe in his abilities. I DID get the bracelet back looking like new again. Gary even checked the other stones for looseness and I swear he tightened those bezels as well, because I used to feel a tiny movement when I ran my fingers along the stones. Now they all feel solid. As far as I'm concerned, Gary knows what he's doing and I would let him fix anything. The price he charged was very reasonable. If you need repair work done to a silver piece or even a Native American piece like mine, Gary is your guy! He's got my business going forward.
