My therapist is great...but that is where it ends. Scripts take 48hrs + for fulfillment and thats IF the computer systems are up and running. There is ZERO backup plan. So if you need a prescription and the computer system happens to be down at that moment, you are pretty much screwed until the technical team can get it back up and running again. Dr. Adebogun has been treating me now for over 3 years for bipolar II. I've had a hard time in the past finding a doctor who would really help me because from the outside I have appeared very "functional." My husband attends appointments with me sometimes and he listens to my husband explain my struggles and challenges and takes all information he receives into consideration. He listens to me and is always willing to tweak the dosage and medications I'm on if needed. I am very sensitive to medications and he listens and changes me to other medications so I don't have to deal with negative side effects. I was discriminated against, my rape was minimized, my PTSD ignored, I asked for help with an accommodation for a very traumatizing training, simply asked him to state my symptoms, have been a ct for years. He refused, even though I was almost in a crisis trying to explain the trauma symptoms. He said he was afraid of liability if I was injured on the job without this training. I am a counselor, and the real concern is the trauma, not his fear of liability. b/c of the trauma all my work needed was this 2 page document for him so they could assist me in accommodation, but he simply refused. He would see me hospitalized for PTSD sooner that filling out 2 pages that he feared some ridiculous liability, which would not be on him anyway. Now I have no options. I have no other Dr, and I can loose my job of 6 years b/c he is incompetent to deal with trauma. read more

He was able to put me on a regimen that worked for me and he recommended different vitamins and minerals that helped to support my other medications. Dr A is a very respectful and caring doctor, but it seems he has lost control of his office. Every time I've come there, I've arrived on time and have needed to wait at least 30 minutes past my appointment time (one time I waited a full hour) because it seems he double or triple books timeslots. I've wasted so much time here just from waiting only to see him for 10 minutes and be sent on my way quickly. On top of this, I received no communication that my PA I saw had left the practice and was left wondering why messages weren't being returned. This is frustrating to write since Dr A is a solid doctor and caring human being and the staff have usually been polite to me. But it seems there's so management in the office. No wonder so many employees leave. I can't in good conscience recommend this office to anybody until they fix their organization. It's unprofessional for a place that's supposed to be helping people with mental health issues to treat them as if they're just another name on a list. read more

If I could give them zero stars I would. Worst staff and doctor ever. You'd think that the fact that their dealing with patients who are fragile, they'd treat you with respect but they do not. They would not extend my meds by 2 weeks for going out of town, (I was trying to move my apt to the day after I got home). I was told no. No questions asked. They cut me off while trying to explain and then hung up on me. I had to call about 6 times and they still didn't understand that I wasn't trying to get a refill without a check in apt. I cannot express the gratitude that I have for this practice! Dr. Adebogun (Dr. A.) saved my son's life after he had suffered concussions and suicidal ideation. We had visited 3 other psychiatrists in the area, and Dr. A. was able to identify immediately what my son needed. Dr. A also helped my son finally get sleep due to his anxiety about attending college, and he partnered with us to help him get the housing accommodations he needed as someone who is on the autism spectrum. My other son suffered from severe ADHD which greatly impacted his grades, and now he is making 'A's' and 'B's' when prior, he was borderline failing for not remembering to complete or turn in his homework. Below is a message I sent Dr A. I have been in his office 70+ times (TMS) and I have never experienced the staff being rude. Sometimes Dr's run late, they don't know what each patient will present. I know in my life I have made a few Dr's late for the next appt. Dr. A thank you again for making me a success story. Besides my happiness level going up another change I noticed is throwing. My whole life when I throw something it will miss the target. I was always the last kid picked for any team because I was awful - I had an athletic build and no skills.. Dr. Adebogun has been an excellent doctor during my appointments. Listens to me, and incorporates that into his treatment plan. Two MAJOR problems. Problem #1: before I had an appointment with Dr A., I met with his PA, Jacob Torre. He is cruel and unprofessional. After giving my history, including which meds I've had very adverse reactions to, he became very petulant and authoritarian and prescribed one of the meds I cannot take. When I pointed this out to him, he said it was that or nothing. Both options would have left me unable to work within a few days. Fortunately. I met with Dr. A. a few days later, and he prescribed something that has been very beneficial to this day. Problem #2 is getting refills. Usually takes two weeks of leaving messages on the patient portal, having the pharmacy contact the doctor, and leaving multiple messages with the office. Extremely frustrating and unprofessional. Writing medication prescriptions is pretty much the point of seeing a psychiatrist. read more

Stay far away. This place will charge you for your appointment even when the doctors no show. You read that right. No show. I have had the doctor miss my appointment 3 times and still got charged. All they said was sorry like it was no big deal and still charged me. The office has 10 employees sitting around doing nothing witch includes never answering the phones or returning messages. Your medicine is never sent in on time and you have to request multiple times. When the meds do get sent in they are wrong sometimes not even the same type of medication you take. I will be reporting this office to the medical board. If anyone else has these issues I may suggest doing the same or they will continue to take advantage of customers and there health issues. I've seen Dr. Adebogun for over 2 years. Although, Mind Matters no longer accepts my insurance, I continue to see him because I have been profoundly impressed by his wealth of knowledge, ability to stay current with recent research, and willingness to listen and offer a variety of options. Instead of jumping right to an SSRI, he suggested magnesium glycinate which has surprisingly helped both my PMS and anxiety. Like many people, I don't want to be controlled by my medications but hope to find a combination that allows me to maximize my potential. Dr. A is a great doctor he is very passionate with his patients I recommend him to other people.

I gotta say. I been going here for 3+ years now. In that time I have been passed around to 3 different psychiatrists because they kept quitting and nobody would even tell me they don't work there til I am panicking because nobody sends in my refills and suddenly I get to spend the next week trying to call them MULTIPLE multiple times leaving VMs explaining the concern and the immediate help I needed and they truly do NOT care. At all. They will take their sweet time sending it in. It's very very common to go weeks without any refills of anti anxiety and anti depression medications even. Even if you tell them it's life or death they do not call back, they do not relay any messages until I am on the phone bawling about how I need my own medication that I've been on for years. I was on a very time sensitive treatment that required me to go in 3x once a month. The second and third months were pushed back weeks and the third one they refused to send in the correct dosage until the day after my appointment that was already pushed weeks back. I went cold Turkey on it. As I am now with two other medications. If u are having an emergency these are not the psychs to go to. They will not reply even on the patient portal which they tell me to use. When my last psych quit I was on the portal with literally nobody I could message. Literally worthless. I don't wanna bite the hand that feeds me but I've wanted to leave this place time and time again the only reason I haven't is financial reasons. In the current- I am now 2-3 weeks off my adderall and another anti anxiety medication. I've left 3 messages and 2 voicemails explaining I need them sent in and, for example- they sent in my 30mg Adderall refill in as 10mg.... I've called multiple times and messaged to change it and the only message I've gotten back was "did u pick it up already because then I can't send it in for another month" like LADY NO I HAVEN'T BECAUSE IVE BEEN WAITING ON YALL TO FIX THIS. Still haven't heard back since Wednesday or Thursday on that reply. This is just one of many times where their incompetence causes real life consequences for me. I can't get up or even do anything right now because I am so insanely depressed and anxious and tired. I've even told them for months I've been getting more depressed and they tell me they aren't gonna change anything. As if the treatment is "working"..? Right. I could go on and on I honestly just need to find a new psychiatrist ASAP. As soon as they finally over a month later decide to fix this BS I have to deal with, I'm out. read more

Avoid this place at all costs. I've never given a negative review before in my life, and I think that says a lot in itself. This'll be my first bad review about a place. I've been coming here for over a year now, and while Mattew Peterson is probably the best therapist I've ever had in my life, and Dr. Adebogun seemed like he cared about my mental health, I'm leaving and I hope nobody else ever has to go through what I did. The first issue is the staff. Not so much the doctors, but the people up front, specifically the woman at the desk. She's very rude, and it's obvious she doesn't give two shits about you. She's literally laughed at me and a family member once. The rest of the staff is incompetent as well, I've tried multiple times calling in my last medication switch and was going through absolute HELL and just needed to confirm with Dr. Adebogun that what I was going through was normal... but never was able to hear back from him, even though he said I could call him. The second issue is the rates/insurance problems. They WILL mess up your insurance, and they WILL overcharge you because they'll mess up the insurance, and you'll have to end up like me wasting an hour of your time fixing it because they can't do their job right. All I'm going to say about this is that if for any dumb reason you decide to try this place out, make SURE you pay first, because they will overcharge you after. Also, you might be sitting there for an hour and having to get a refund... ...which is the third and final issue I had. Three times, today of which was the final straw, have I had to wait OVER AN HOUR and STILL not see my doctor. I don't know what the hell was going on, but I literally had to wait over an hour on three separate occasions, then had to leave because I had to go to work. I can put up with money issues, maybe they messed up, okay, I can even put up with a little rudeness, fine, maybe they were having a bad day, but I can't put up with sitting over an hour and a half consistently and ending up having to reschedule a month later because the doctors are hardly ever available, and then I end up having no idea what the hell do to about my mental health issues. Should I keep taking my meds that I feel bad on? Should I increase it? Should I stop taking this one or that one? When do I increase this one or that one? Who knows, because trying to see my doctor is like gambling; sometimes I'm lucky, sometimes I'm not. But not being able to see your doctor when mental health issues are involved is completely unacceptable. Not being able to get a call back to make sure you're not having abnormal reactions after multiple calls, and after your doctor said you could call, is completely unacceptable. I don't care if I have to drive an hour away, I'm finding a new PDOC, and I suggest you avoid this place no matter what if your mental health is important to you at all. read more

What an infuriating experience. When trying to get a prescription refilled I called, got hung up on, called again, got someone completely different. It's almost as if they're outsourcing their customers to a call center. The staff is incredibly rude and arrogant. They insist I use their 'portal'. Can't I just talk to a person? I can understand why they want less, not more interaction with their staff. It's appalling. A week, three calls, one email and two visits to the pharmacy later... Therapists very helpful and nice. Office staff ok. Receptionist ignores you when you sign in and you are not allowed to open the glass to speak to her. Of the 3 times we've been they've always run at least 20 min late and once 90 min late with no updates from reception or apology. FYI- if YOU are over 20 min late you have to reschedule with them but no problem if they make you wait 90 minutes and miss YOUR other engagements. Customer service needs work. read more

We were attempting to find a date and time that would work for me and the doctor but it was proving to be difficult. My mother has suffered from depression her whole life. She has tried every anti-depressant on the market. Because she is elderly now, there are many medications she can no longer take. Dr. A found a combination of two medications and TMS therapy, and for the first time every she is not depressed. After seeing what they have done for her, I am now going for my and insomnia and anziety and the medications he prescribed have made a significant difference in my life. read more

Sounds like they are milking the insurance company and the patients. The second time I went was only to pick up test results, and they still charged me for a normal visit. I have been seeing Dr. Adebogun for years. He is by far the best doctor for mental illness. He honestly cares and will help you achieve a stable mindset. He watches all your medications closely and answers any questions you may have about them. If you are looking for help with your mental illness and not to receive unneeded medications you should give this doctor a try. The staff is very friendly and always glad to help. read more

Mr Adebogun shouldn't even be referred to as a doctor. He's extremely unprofessional and honestly just very rude. They have a portal where you can communicate back and forth confidentially. Last month (May) when my scripts were running low I emailed him asking to refill them. He said he wouldn't initially because I had to go in for a visit. I was under the impression that I had an appointment in June, turns out my appointment was in May. Without informing me that my appointment was only the following week, he sent my refill request out. Fast forward to this month, I asked if he could give me a week of scripts until I came in for my appointment which I thought was next week. Come to find out, my NP doesn't work there anymore so my appointment in June was cancelled without anyone informing, and starting in June my insurance is out of network. Mr Adebogun told me that I could pay $150 for an out of network visit to get my medications refilled, or I could go else where to find another doctor. The lack of communication is unacceptable. Now I'm out of meds and will be without my medications for numerous days before I can find another doctor. read more

Ive found the doctors and nurse practitioners great, however the front staff is absolutely horrible. Need to reschedule your appointment? Good luck getting anyone on the phone (the voicemail they currently have going lists the days they will be closed in MAY). Need to be seen sooner? Fat chance. Instead of putting you on a wait list/call list, they tell you to keep calling back to see if anyones cancelled (I did this once for weeks). Need a medication change? Despite every doctor/nurse practitioner telling you to call them and they will fit you in, it wont happen. The few times I tried to be seen or get a medication change the front desk acted like they were put upon and I was speaking some foreign language. They even asked me what medication I wanted to switch to and what dosage I thought I needed. If I was a doctor I would not be calling! They show no concern for others, nor do they care. Every time I have shown up for an appointment the receptionist is no where to be seen and continues to stay that way. My last appointment she graced those of us waiting for her in the lobby 15 minutes later. No hello, How are you - but "$copay, do you want a receipt"? Thats it. I dont even care about the small talk, but to have to wait 15-25 minutes JUST to be checked in, making me late for my appointment is ridiculous. And its like this every time. There are other staff members behind the counter but they will completely ignore you. Its almost hostile feeling up there. I find myself getting angry now after ive had to deal with them.
