So i call my insurance it turns out they need to file it medically the procedure. My husband calls back the nasty professional lady there and tells her what the insurance company said to do. The nasty lady at the dentist responds, "we won't file it that way." Well then i guess you don't get paid. really?! i have coverage and you refuse to bill the way the insurance company protocol wants it done, instead want me to pay even more out of pocket. Then after my post MRI appointment she felt I needed infections in my knee. I have waited over three weeks and still haven't heard back from the office with an appointment. I have called twice, only to find out she didn't turn in the necessary paperwork to get the injections approved through insurance. I went back to my family dr and got a referral to a different orthopedic dr where Im confident I will be treated better.

Stay away! I cannot…read moreemphasize this enough. One of their surgeons, Dr. Matzinger, operated on my wife. At her first followup visit he was rude, dismissive, and uncaring. She has many lasting complications from this poorly done surgery, including chronic pain, significant nerve damage, and severe difficulty walking or standing. This was a relatively minor out-patient surgery. He apparently is or has been involved in several malpractice suits, and has in the past been disciplined for cocaine abuse. This is all public knowledge, but amazingly, Grand Strand Medical Center still allows him to practice there. Bewary...

He put me on 5 medicines, none worked except partially the injection, then he gave up,…read moretook me off the injection and and wants me to go to a psychiatrist(I'm assuming cause he doesn't believe me or simply thinks I'm crazy). Don't go to him unless you want to be pumped full of medicine and then spit out once he can't charge you for anymore. Also he never ordered any type of CT or head scan which is very STRANGE for a NEUROLOGIST. Man literally came in my room and ASKED ME what we should do next, the red flag I didn't pay attention to. I showed up on the wrong date. The receptionist had no issue with that. I looked at my appointment card after coming to the appointment. (I will look before I go to a future appointment). She got me in with no problems. I had driven over an hour to get my appointment. It was my fault that I put down the wrong date. The receptionist did not have to let me have an appointment today but she got me in. Very pleased with this office and staff! Thank you all!
