I arrived at 9:10 am and sat in the office waiting until 10:00 am then got taken back to a office to be seen. After the nurse took my vitals she left and said the doctor would be right in. Twenty more minutes or so passed - still no doctor and I had to leave. The people working in this office are not professional and I get the impression they feel they are doing you a favor by letting you have an appointment. I just needed to find out if my device is compatible with running a much needed MRI. When they finally sent the info in the fifth week, they only sent serial numbers of the ICD and Lead and my doctor does not have access to the system to look the device up. I ended up calling my Device Clinic in Wisconsin. I provided them with the serial numbers and they told me within 2 minutes that my device and lead were compatible with an MRI. I was always told the health services in the south were bad but I never expected this level of incompetence.

Saw him (Dr. Peterson) last December 2022 with symptoms related to the heart I was never asked to fill out paperwork reference to current/past medical issues or anything about family history. That was the first flag. Dismissive isn't even the word to describe this guy during my visit. Anything outside his cookie cutter experience he is lost and not your guy. No tests ordered or concerns just wanted me to take salt pills. That was the second flag. Thank God my husband and I had enough sense to know something was wrong and Dr. Petersons recommendation of 'salt pills' was code for 'I don't know what I'm doing' I'm now blessed with a real Cardiologist from across the Bay who listened, took family history, ran tests and saved my life with an ICD implant due to irregular heart rhythms and sudden death.
