I've been looking to shop and buy "Bailey's Apple Pie" for the Autumn holidays. Unfortunately the Liquor control has not sent the supply to Michigan in years past, but maybe this season. My niece also shops here from time to time when they needed a bottle or two for her family holiday parties. The owner is Sail Dawood and store manager who is nice to talk with when a customer is looking for a special brand or particular bottle. The business name is spelled differently yet the meaning of this local party store supports the Community with snacks and crackers plus many beer (kegs too) brands, wine and liquor. This business has a large parking and is located on 200 N. Main Street at E. St. Clair Street in downtown Almont, near Brunch @ Joe's. First things first - the sign is going to read KKB not the whole words spelled out. And Sal may be a bit of a smart alek if you walk in asking for something. That said, not only is there an OBSCENE selection of liquor for such a small town but Sal knows his stuff. He knows comparable spirits for what you want (and knows and will admit what's paint thinner), will clue you in to sales and will order whatever you like if you don't find it there. It's farther away from me than several places but I will likely make it a point to swing buy and support them when I'm around. And certainly will go to them if I want something special.
