One of the properties we looked brought up some questions about possible zoning issues. Within a few hours, she had the answers and then connected us to the city departments who handled all these elements. After visiting quite a few properties, we finally found The One. Offer was written up within the day and we were in contract! But to complicate matters, we were getting a VA loan on a historic home and I was located down in San Diego, and then things get even more complex! Our appraisal came in low. We decided to invoke a little-used element of VA loans called Reconsideration of Value. The loan supervisor told me that in 40+ years of doing VA loans she had never seen an appraisal get readjusted with one of these. However, OURS DID. This was due entirely to Kim's superior knowledge of the homes on the market in the area and her ability to quickly quote and document the shortcomings in the appraiser's cited comparables. Being new to the area, we needed contacts for landscapers, contractors, and other things - Kim had them all. She is prepared, always goes the extra mile, and is a fun and friendly person, too.
