We couldn't have asked for a better realtor than Cami Beckerdite!…read more Cami worked with my wife and me for an entire year while we searched for the right home. Throughout the entire process, she was incredibly patient, knowledgeable, and supportive. Most importantly, she never once pressured us to buy. She genuinely wanted us to find the home that was right for us, even when that meant a long search. Cami knows the local market extremely well and gave us honest, valuable insight every step of the way. Her knowledge of the area and the market gave us tremendous confidence in our decisions. She also went above and beyond by helping us find reliable contractors and other local services to assist with inspections, repairs, and evaluating the property. That was especially helpful as we were new to the area. After a year of searching, we finally found our home and closed with Cami by our side. We couldn't be happier! She has also been incredibly kind and welcoming to my wife and me as we begin our new life in the area. She made us feel like more than just clients. Thank you, Cami, for your patience, expertise, kindness, and for never giving up on us! We are truly grateful for everything you did and would highly recommend Cami to anyone looking for a realtor who genuinely cares about her clients and knows the market inside and out.

Throughout the process, Cami supported and guided us with patience and expertise, especially as we bought from out of state. She and her team provided valuable market insight and attended all viewings, both in person and virtually. Cami's keen judgment helped us identify where real value existed. That insight was crucial for us as newcomers, helping us avoid poor choices on properties that seemed better in photos and on paper than in person. I strongly endorse Cami and her team and would readily choose to collaborate with Cami again for our future real estate requirements in Nevada County.

The others basically told us to call them if we were in the area and wanted to see their listing... like "show me the money and I might be interested". We didn't really know what we wanted, so Nevada county was only a retirement "possibility". Robin literally drove us around the county! She FaceTimed when we were remote. Once she "got us", she visited properties on her own to create a list. We were in a rush, and she was responsive, flexible, and a great communicator. Patient, not pushy. I've bought and sold several houses & properties. Robin is one of the best at her craft! We ended up with a fixer-upper in Lake Wildwood (I was looking a bit more turnkey). However, Robin gave us 4 different contractors contacts, so the updates were easy! She negotiated credit from the seller to cover some of those updates. She was present for every inspection (the agent for the house I was selling was not:( ), and even took pictures for the insurance company under a deadline due to my hectic work schedule. There was a fair bit of complexity to my purchase as originally it looked like I was going to have to use a bridge loan to buy my dream home due to the timing of buying this house prior to selling mine. Kim worked hand in hand with my selling agent and my loan agent/broker. She was FABULOUS! And she's a good person to boot.

We couldn't have found a better agent than Kim Carlsen to help us find a great home in Grass…read moreValley. Kim understood immediately what we were looking for (the type of neighborhood and vibe) and worked her tail off to make sure we saw (or least knew about) every property that fit, including a few that hadn't even hit the market yet. One of the properties we looked brought up some questions about possible zoning issues. Within a few hours, she had the answers and then connected us to the city departments who handled all these elements. After visiting quite a few properties, we finally found The One. Offer was written up within the day and we were in contract! But to complicate matters, we were getting a VA loan on a historic home and I was located down in San Diego, and then things get even more complex! Our appraisal came in low. We decided to invoke a little-used element of VA loans called Reconsideration of Value. The loan supervisor told me that in 40+ years of doing VA loans she had never seen an appraisal get readjusted with one of these. However, OURS DID. This was due entirely to Kim's superior knowledge of the homes on the market in the area and her ability to quickly quote and document the shortcomings in the appraiser's cited comparables. Being new to the area, we needed contacts for landscapers, contractors, and other things - Kim had them all. She is prepared, always goes the extra mile, and is a fun and friendly person, too. We highly recommend her if you need anything real estate related in Nevada County!
