I used Eric Hatch to sell my dad's house which is far from where I live. He took care of everything - getting houses fixes done, landscaping, staging, advertising, and more. He was incredibly efficient and always answered the phone. Probably the best agent I've ever done a transaction with. Thanks Eric! read more

Said he would work with me, then went radio silent despite my e-mails asking for any response.

Eric Hatch knows real estate. Eric Hatch follows through with what he he says he is going to do. Eric Hatch is a person of his word. "Let Eric Handle It" is what he stated when my sister and I needed to place our elderly mother in assisted living. Prior to listing the home in Nevada City, an estate sale and disposal of items was necessary. Eric handled it all in a very short time. He is responsive to our questions and concerns regarding the entire process. Eric Hatch is truly one-of-a-kind. read more

We came across Eric Hatch the same way a lot of you probably did--via a cold Google/Yelp search for realtors in the area. As such, we rolled the dice and, after a couple of brief phone calls, decided to let him take the reigns of our search. We had quite a wide geographical search area spanning multiple, multiple counties but Eric agreed to show us one listing I had found and earmarked and he went to the property ahead of time to take copious videos and walk-throughs which really made things easier for us. By the time we saw the place in the wood, we were already on-board and liked it enough to trust Eric with the rest of the process. Highlights of working with Eric that we appreciated the most: 1) this is a well-worn cliche but true nevertheless...attention to the details and minutae 2) not feeling any pressure via a "hard sell" approach. We've worked with myriad agents and brokers and have become allergic to the hovering, hand-holding, "over-narration" type who feel like they have to constantly talk during property tours to make sure we know how great or awesome ABC or XYZ is. Eric is the opposite of that. We found him to be patient, knowledgeable but not overbearing and without needing to engage in extraneous commentary, letting us get a feel for the place on our own, to allow it to sink in without the upsell. 3) Professionalism. If there is one word to encapsulate the experience as buyers working with Eric, it would professionalism. He doesn't need to rely on gimmicks or being a fast talker or being good at sales (though I am certain he is) because he represents the *consummate* real estate professional who knows his stuff, knows that he knows his stuff, and is confident enough in light or that to give us the opportunity to make our own decision without the hard sell. None of this really sounds like it is a lot to ask for in a RE agent or broker but that hasn't always been our experience so it was refreshing finding Eric and being able to work with him in a no-nonsense, straightforward manner. read more

I called Eric Hatch based off of his online reviews. I'm an investor and have bought many homes in my life. I needed someone who would respond quickly and be knowledgeable and experienced. I believe within 24 hours we had toured the home I wanted to purchase and made an offer which was later accepted. Eric was exactly what I needed to not waste time. He's friendly, professional and very fast to respond and get things done. I would highly recommend him if you're in the Grass Valley, Auburn area whether you've bought many homes or as a first time buyer. Eric was great to work with! He supported my independence and reigned me back in when making offers on a couple properties and negotiating. He even was amused when looking through a couple homes on our "maybe" list out of curiosity. My husband and I decided to relocate from the Bay Area to the Auburn/Grass Valley/Forest Hill area to be closer to family. OK, first step - find a real estate agent. We got some recommendations from friends regarding agents in Roseville. What do agents in Roseville know about the areas we were looking at?! OK, maybe some do, but we wanted an experienced local who knows the neighborhoods, etc. So I went to Yelp and found Eric (his office is located in Lake of the Pines and he lives in the area) - thanks to my fellow Yelpers. We concur with all of the other reviews that Eric is fantastic. He just has this steady, calm personality that is really reassuring during the craziness of buying a new home. He must have taken us to 50 or some homes over a period of a few months. He never batted an eye when we said too run-down, too small, too big, land isn't usable as it is on a hill, and my favorite one by me "This house feels sad." So being the good agent that he is, he learned exactly what we were looking for. We would contact him constantly to go look at house we found online, and he always replied promptly and patiently. The sale of our house in the Bay Area then got put "on hold" by the Coronavirus panic. So we went into a lull for looking at new places. But Eric, having learned what we liked, found our perfect house for us, before it even went on the market. We walked in, and it felt like home. He's brilliant. Throughout the whole process, Eric was just so easy to work with. And he has a million contacts - roofers, painters, etc. We wanted to order a roof inspection of the new place, and Eric arranged it quickly while on vacation! Long story short, go with Eric. Don't even look at other realtors. read more

Can't say enough good things about Eric Hatch. He assisted our family with selling our home and buying a new one simultaneously. Most would agree this is not an easy feat; however, Eric made the process as close to painless as humanly possible. He also helped get us a property we would never imagine we could have loved so much. All around class act from the first email I sent to him. No joke, he completely blew away any customer service experience we've ever had, no matter the industry. Supremely attentive, incredibly genuine, and a consummate professional. If all businesses used Eric's level of service, Yelp would only need 5 stars as an option. Our family thanks you Eric! read more

Eric was identified as one of the top three agents in Grass Valley, but in fact, he is one of the top agents in all of California. Eric contacted us immediately, set an appointment and walked our property to see what we had. His assessments were spot on, and his feedback was direct and honest. In all our years 41 years of moving and selling and purchasing homes, Eric is far away the best person and agent we have worked with. Based on my work experience in the customer service industry, I do not write reviews unless I come across someone really exceptional, who I can genuinely endorse. I am happy to share the secret of just such a person with the world. Eric Hatch, a marvelous realtor, and a great advocate for his clients real estate needs. The process of buying a home can be very frustrating, long, and stressful! Eric Hatch, by far, is the person you want by your side during this time. My husband and I, made an offer on our dream home, and it was accepted. Unfortunately due to probate court, legal mistakes from the seller side, unfortunate events, and the delays from the seller, we finally closed our home this week after about 3 months. Throughout this process Eric has been calm and comforting, about each situation and confident about making our dream possible (even when we lost faith). But that's the kind of real estate professional you need by your side, who steps up and solves problems, when things go sideways. Eric took care of all the paperwork, inspections, and made the buying process much easier on us. Eric is very knowledgeable about real estate procedures, local laws, territory knowledge, home renovations, and possesses reliable contacts that can get the job done quickly and efficiently. After living most of our life in cities, Eric was excellent with his recommendations, and accurate advice for living in the foothills. He gave us advice of what constructions and renovations we should do, and regarding maintenance of acres of wooded land. He had an answer or solution for every question we could come up with, if not right at the moment, he will figure it out and get back to you. When problems and delays arose, he was prompt in informing us, and worked hard to negotiate a better deal. The best qualities about Eric is that he will be honest, straightforward, and realistic about expectations and anything during the process. He will let you know, if he doesn't think a house price is not worth it, or if it is not a good fit for you. We were really grateful for that, since sometimes you can be blinded by the beauty of a place and ignore the red flags. Eric is very courteous, calm, patient, and will keep you grounded. With all the complications that arose during our escrow process, Eric was in constant correspondence with us, the mortgage lender, the title company, and the seller's entourage, to make sure we got the best deal, and the best value. He kept the pressure going, and tried to resolve everything as quickly as he could. If we had questions, and we had a lot, he was available, or made sure someone was available to answer our questions and put our minds at ease. It was nice to have someone else who had the knowledge, experience, and skills required to maneuver in the system, while keeping your best interest at heart, and making it a less stressful and easy experience for you. That's what makes his special and different from other real estate professional. And I think he actually likes the challenges, and has fun with it! My husband and I, are truly grateful to Eric for making the dream of owning our first home together a reality. We wholeheartedly would recommend Eric Hatch to anyone. Thank you Eric and keep rocking!!! read more
