I give this school no if I could. If you are a parent PLEASE I WOULD NOT send my children to Milwaukee Spanish Immersion School!!! The school is very harsh on k-4 & k-5 students. The classrooms are very disorganized and extremely dirty. My kid developed impetigo as a result of the level of drift & filth in the classroom. I know because I volunteered to clean. The school has a tool that they use called a behavior chart. To let you know how your kid is performing. It's color-coded purple/ green is considered good, green means okay day and red or orange not good and the school will call you non stop! When I would pick up my kid from camp and my kid would've looked at the behavior chart already & would not want to come home...fear of no tv and time out when we got home. Which any kid hates. The school's camp director called the child protective services on me saying me kid fears to come home with me. Other false accusations and accused me of beating my child and that there were bruises to prove it! The child protective services comes next day...NO bruises. For I pull my kid out a week prior due to lack of supervision in classroom. My child was injured by a kid throwing a toy near the eye and had to get 3 stitches! If I was an abusive parent think about it... why would I have pull my kid out of school for getting hurt a week before the accusations by the camp director? The school did a background check on me to become a volunteer. An abusive parents don't volunteer at the school or be on the PTA! I gave my time because I care about my child! I had a meeting with the principal requesting that those certain toys be removed so they will not injure any other children. I advise that the school needed user-friendly toys for small children. She told me that the toys are standard MPS toys. I told her just because there is a policy in place doesn't mean it can't be changed and it should not happen again to any child!!!! The school is going downhill and from what I've been told by some educators themselves they want out!!!! As they have voiced to me as a volunteer. So if the teachers and office people say send you kid to another school what does that say about the foundation of Milwaukee Spanish School??? The school only cares about cramming in students to get paid to fill as many seats as possible. The level of education level it's not where it should be nor is the safety. This has been a horrific and terrifying experience as a new parent and I would not wish this on any parent! Another thing to watch for is the behavior chart in places. It is a paper trail on your 4 or 5 year old to get them medicated. Please be careful of this. The two best thing to come out of this situation is 1st that I didn't lose my child due to the false accusations!!! 2nd because of the Covid-19 I pray that the school has done sterile cleanse before children go back!!!
