I went into SageKat expecting what I've received at every other massage place, but oh was I wrong…read more Although I'm young I've been in pain for quite sometime, yet nothing I do and no masseuse could truly make me feel better for longer than an hour. Kathy really took care of me, not only with the massage itself, but all the knowledge she gave. She gave me techniques and stretches to help with all of my concern areas. Throughout my experience she really showed how much she actually cared. Kathy really went into every aspect she could to get me to actually start feeling better and not be in pain everyday. I can't tell you how relieved I am to finally have found someone who has taken care of me the way she did. I'm truly thankful to have found SageKat, I would be in so much pain if I hadn't. This will be the number one place I will recommend to everyone.

I've already told my friends about how great SageKat was and how much I enjoyed my massage. I've…read morealready recommended her and have two who want to go. I've itemized what sums up my experience. 1. Massage itself: For starters, I'm a big guy. If a big guy is worried about a lady not being able to work them hard enough, don't worry. Kathy can do anything anyone else can do. It isn't just about raw strength, but precision and hitting the places perfectly along with the right amount of pressure. You can push as hard as a bull, but if you're not hitting the spots perfectly, it's a waste of time. A couple of times, I jumped and asked, what was that? Some muscle buried in a mass, was hurting bad, and she found it and made it better. 2. Care: I felt that Kathy really cared, and it came across. She wasn't just going through the motions, watching the clock, and when it rang, ready for the next. This is a very important trait for me because when a person cares about you as a person and their work, it makes a big difference. 3. Informative: I learned a lot from just listening and what I heard was very interesting. She kept me informed on what was going on, why things were being worked and the hopeful outcome. I was instructed on stretches which would help my problems. 4. Atmosphere: This isn't a big thing, but I liked seeing the aurora borealis on the wall and stars on the ceiling. 5 Recommendation: Yes, totally! I give her as high a recommendation as is possible. Conclusion: I went into there in very bad shape. My muscles had been severely overworked and outside of a few muscle groups, I'd been in pain from head to toe for at least four weeks. I walked out of the room with the biggest smile on my face and felt happy. I don't know if a good massage can release a crazy amount of endorphins, but that what it felt like happened. I had a "joker" grin on my face for two hours afterwards. I felt great. I'm writing this two days later, and my muscles are sore from the massage, but my range of motion and spring in my step is much better and I'm looking forward to working out tonight to see how much better I feel. I generally don't write reviews, especially not this long, but I feel strongly about my great experience with Kathy and SageKat Massage and wanted to pass it on. Thank you, Kathy, for being wonderful!

Absolutely hands down worst experience I've ever had and I've been getting a massage once a month…read morefor the past 12 years. So the address that's on google maps is NOT ACCURATE. The true establishment is actually east at 4400 Bayou Blvd. I initially called, no answer. I received a call back from a personal number and the lady on the phone said she thought I scheduled for 7pm. I let her know that I've never scheduled before so right off the bat I should've taken that as a red flag. She said she wouldn't be able to get me in for an hour to which I said that's okay I'm looking for something sooner so I started heading home. On the way home she called and said she could get me in 30 mins and asked if I was at the location. I said yes. She listed a specific nearby establishment and it seems there was a misunderstanding. 30 mins later come to find out the establishment was in a DIFFERENT CITY! She then shares her location with me but it immediately expires. After that she finally gives me the address but no building number. I call, no answer. She calls back and says she's coming out to meet me but the address she gave me put me on the whole other side of the complex. When we speak on the phone she asks me if I can just reschedule.... Are you kidding me?! What a waste of time and gas! We finally found each other after 10 mins of looking, only for her to tell me there's no one available to give me a massage!!!!!! What?!?! She brings me up to the establishment which is tucked into a corner, upstairs. Yeah, "easy to find". She did offer me 1/2 off should I choose to book a future massage which is the only reason this review is 2 stars and not 1. I won't be coming back, I've dealt with poor management before and it can destroy a business. I'm sure the therapists are great but I'm not willing to drive out here again and have someone "last minute cancel or reschedule". This seems like the kind of place to do something like that. Advice: Update your google maps app location, it's misleading, unprofessional, and confusing to customers who are legitimately looking for healthcare. Additionally, don't blame your customers for using the app they prefer. Update your location or take it off the site, you manage a business, it's as simple as that.

Really appreciated that! The massage place is a quaint office like building and walking in just felt quiet and calm. When I first got there, Kelly had me fill out a piece a paper that helped indicate some health background. She then sat down with me and went through where I wanted to focus my massage on. Overall, the massage was worth it and relaxing for me. I'm sure at times I kept drifting off here and there. I had told Kelly that my trapezius muscles and low back were my constant buggers and she did emphasize on those. I can't say that the knots in my muscles are gone, but it was a good start on working out these knots. Kelly also didn't keep going at the knots that my muscles felt sore/bruised, which was nice. She has a medium-slightly heavy pressure and it was actually perfect pressure for me. I definitely recommend and will most likely schedule another appointment!
