I would like to highlight our experience during emergency and how doctor supported us during that: 1. ER incident: Our daughter had an ER incident and doctor was available throughout. She worked outside of her normal working hours to speak with the ER doctor and plan the next steps, provided doctors note immediately for our medical leave and had multiple followup appointments. It was a huge relief for us to have her be available! 2. Ear infection: our daughter had 2 incidents of ear infection. During both the times, doctor has been made herself available to meet with us on the same day and also at times outside of office hours. Somehow she always manages to make time for us when we need despite her busy schedule. I know some people have complained about the wait times. I have experienced this few times only, most of the time the wait is not more than 15 mins. Dr Peela will go above and beyond, especially in any emergency situations for children she will make herself available. I feel that some wait time for such a great care is well worth it! I strongly recommend Dr Peela.

She is very thorough with her assessments and writes everything down to make sure she won't miss anything. She takes her time when doing my son's check-up and is always so happy to see us. On my son's 2nd week he hasn't gained much weight so Dr. Amy was calling us and making sure that my son is doing fine. She told us to get my son weighed in for free at the Lactation Center so we don't need to come in her office and get charged with the office visit fee. There have been multiple occasions when one of our children have shown signs of an ear infection late at night, and she responded promptly, saw them to make an accurate diagnosis, and made sure they received the treatment they needed as soon as possible. Whenever my kids feel anxious about an appointment, she is able to calm their fears, make them feel safe, and even turn the visit into a positive experience. Rather than focusing on what we as the…read moreparents needed for our kids (pain management concerns), the doctor focused on assessing our kids for abuse and mental health issues. When asking for tests and lab work to be done, the doctor refused. As parents, we know our kids and simply made a request for diagnostic test to figure out what their issues are. My son had headaches for a few months, the doctor blew it off as too much screen time. He had a subdural bleed in his brain and needed emergent brain surgery to relieve pressure approx 1 week later. My wife pleaded with her to do a scan at this appointment. The doctor refused and said limit screen time and take some Tylenol. My daughter had leg pain, but no outward physical injury was noted. She did an xray after we told her it is not a bone break. The doctor did not even do a simple physical that would have indicated severe scoliosis and pressing on the nerve. She sent us off with no answers. After my son fell ill, the doctor felt a sense of guilt and tried to get us to come back to get referral for neurology. Something she should have done the first visit. So, we asked ourselves, is she incompetent or just looking for money from multiple visits. We are now seeking treatment elsewhere. I implore any parent to always check into the doctors reviews. Ask questions and insist on in depth evaluations. Ask for a complete system assessment. Needless to say we are saddened by the poor evaluations and are now facing extreme health issues that could have been caught earlier if the doctor did what she should have in the beginning.

Dr. Brown is warm, friendly, kind, genuine, and immediately puts kids at ease. He is thoughtful, knowledgeable, and prefers to discuss pros and cons rather than just telling you what to do. He's also very responsive over email and has given us lots of prompt and helpful advice that way. Dr. Brown clearly makes an effort to keep up to date on the latest research (for example, he briefed us on recent conflicting studies on whether early introduction of solid foods increases or decreases food allergies in children). He's open-minded and not dogmatic: he supported our decision to have our second baby at home and to forego circumcision, even though these are unconventional decisions. At the same, when the evidence really does support a specific course of action (such following standard vaccination schedules), Dr. Brown doesn't hesitate to say so emphatically. Most importantly, Dr. Brown obviously really cares about his patients. I always look forward to taking my kids to see him - I am glad they have him as such a positive role model in their lives!
