It was her smoking break (right outside the entrance) and that she was having a bad day. She continued to smoke. She told me that I should be inside with the kittens. I got up to go to my car determined to write this review and told her that she should consider accessible seating. The kittens were admirable though!

This place is quite small, so they don't have room for you to hang out before your appointment. It's best to arrive on time. 50 minutes passed by quickly. I would visit again in the future.

This review is purely for Zog's volleyball league. This league is extremely beginner level. Lots of…read morework teams and new players. Occasionally you will have a couple people who come into this league knowing how to play volleyball but are there anyways for a ego boost. If you are new to volleyball, read here. Yes this league may be a good starting point as it's very beginner level play, it's good for work teams and meeting new people. But you won't want to be here for long. There are the occasional try-hards that will come into the league to feel good about themselves by hitting hard and running plays on a net that's lower than women's height. Another downside is that some of these players think they can play but in fact they are very dangerous and make it very unsafe. Landing under the net and causing ankle sprains when you block is very common here. So play smart, watch out for others. If you have some volleyball experience and understand the game, read here. This league is very poorly ran. You have one ref that does not understand the rules of volleyball. No calls are made, clear doubles where the ball is spiraling, crazy players who jump and land under the net, players touching the net and lifts. You call your own lines, so in and out calls are all on you and the other team. The ref literally is there to just blow the whistle for serve and then flip the score. They dont even have anyone setting up the nets for you as well, so you need to set it up yourself. The net is literally lower than womens height. So if you're here playing with some new friends who are learning to play, have some integrity to play to the level of others and be safe. I played in this league before it became Zog (Dynamic sports) id say it has changed but not for the better. Same stuff as it was 5-6 years ago. If you are looking for some better play there are other leagues out there. Campbell Community center used to have a good one they may or may not still be running. Then there's IVL if you're looking for competitive play. Zog by far is the most expensive league and the total amount of games you play in the season is less then all these other leagues I mentioned. So if you're factoring bang for your buck. Zog is definitely not that.

Came on a Monday morning and was immediately greeted and had to check in. Great cause with each box is able to feed a family of four which is always amazing. Packed boxes for rice, placed instructions on each pack on how to cook rice for the first hour and then transitioned to making boxes of green apples. Having volunteered in the past, I had some free time and decided to put that to a good cause. This particular location is a food sorting the distribution center. The 5 days (2 hour shifts) I was there we sorted apples, carrots, pears, built boxes (I liked doing that), made vegetable boxes etc. Sorting the bad batch of zucchini was tough but very satisfying to see how much we were able to salvage. They have a great staff who are helpful and friendly and super organized. You sign up for shits online, you check in via text, get your badge and after a 5 minute safety lecture you wash up and sort. it is also nice to see local companies have organized groups there as well I would give them more stars if yelp would let me

As we were about to pass Livermore, we saw signage and oodles of fun happening for G&M Farms so we pulled off. There is so much to do here! You can grab a red Radio Flyer wagon and truly go hunting for the perfect pumpkin within the patch itself, or if you're on the hunt for more smaller pumpkins/gourds there is a whole gift shop/farm store that is so incredibly cute for basically every pumpkin vibe you can imagine. Plenty of spots to stop and take pictures with friends or family. There's a corn maze, drinks/snacks like mini donuts, popcorn, and corn dogs, and speaking of corn..oh-em-gee! Truly wanted to share a review for this reason alone. Looking for a sensory activity for your little? There is not a sandbox, but a giant CORN box for play. The adults also tried it (essentially we just put our feet in and it felt surprisingly really nice. Something unexpected and truly unique, fun, and interactive. We also noticed a few other activities on the pumpkin patch side like a tractor/train ride and I'm not sure if there was a petting zoo? Regardless, worth a trip if you haven't made your pumpkin haul yet. Plenty of room for strollers and very spread out. Can't wait to make the corn box an annual tradition. Went cherry picking here in early June…read more Very simple. You "check in", they give you a bag(s) and a grasper for high up ones if you're serious (we weren't that serious). You walk around picking the cherries you want. The trees are marked to indicate the different varietals. You put them in your bag, and you go back to the table to pay for what you picked. Great date idea. There are a couple photo spots designed for Instagram type photos. We didn't use those, just took regular pics. And the whole thing cost like $10 for both of us. That's less than 2 coffees and you get the cherries too. Make sure to check in advance as crops aren't always predictable.

I would recommend shoes you don't mind getting dirty or stained. Parking was small but we still found parking at the entrance maybe cuz we went toward end of the season and later in the afternoon. If going on warm spring weather , bring a hat or umbrella., there were still plenty of shades under cherry trees as walk tree to tree or row to row . We got carried away and end up picking 6 lb +, cost added up fast . 6.50$ per pound for cherry and 3.50$ / lb for apricots . Both cherry and apricots were sweet ! Distanced only 20 mins from San Jose Central area , which is great location if you are in nearby town/city .

Berry picking is seasonal and it's currently closed, I believe** During peak season, hours are from 8am - 11am so make sure you arrive early! My friends and I arrived at 10 near the tail end of the season and there was plenty of parking (a small, unpaved lot!) and space to pick berries. There are signs indicating which rows correlate to which berries (I didn't know there were so many varieties) and the farm offers both black and raspberries. One thing i really liked was that they have specific rows they recommend visitors pick from. We didn't see the signs are first so we ended up picking from the back/middle rows, but the berries were all so sweet and juicy. I'd definitely recommend people checking this out for a quick, cute weekend date with friends or loved ones :)

The berries are super fresh and sweet! I feel like it's the perfect summer fruit. The darker they are, the sweeter they are but i also really like the slight tartness that the just ripe ones have as well. I picked up 2 pounds on my first go but my family and I ate it all within 3 days so I had to go back to pick up 5 more pounds. And we can see the front from there so we decided we would just walk back after. A car was coming so I told my daughter to move in so the car can pass. *HONK HONK* as if we were running. She rolls down the window and starts giving us a huge attitude about how we are not suppose to be walking around "Stay right there!" She was so completely rude I knew it had to be none other than the owner because everyone else we encountered were so kind! Literally a family with small children just walking didn't need to be honked at. We were already stopped when she approached so she could have just rolled her window down and spoke to us nicely. We didn't know there was a rule of no walking or we would have been more than happy to obligated. She should definitely have a staff member roaming the grounds instead of herself because she definitely cannot control her bad attitude and should not be out in the wild.

I have been a member of the Milpitas Rotary Club since 1992. I joined the club to get to know people in the community that are 'community minded'. It is a great group that gets together to do local and international projects. We have a fun lunch every Monday at Brandon's Restaurant at noon with a 20 minute speaker every week. It is one of the highlights of my business week to have lunch with these folks! The food it great, as Brandon's always is. We do a few fundraisers per year to raise money for charities. Citizen of the Year, Businessperson of the Year are more often than not Rotarians. I have enjoyed my twenty years as a Rotarian and look forward to the future. If you would like to get to know a great bunch of people that enjoy doing good in the community, come try it out for lunch sometime and see if it is a good fit for you. They are always welcoming new members. read more

Good food, nice military people, and dancing afterwards with DJ playing classic songs by Elvis, Sinatra, Anne Murray with line dancing, and other songs by request. I love the song Tequila! Remember that from Pee-wee Herman playhouse days? They also use this space as rental of people who needs to host events. They have their own parking lot here. If you have anyone in military, see if they want to join the American Legion to volunteer and mingle with others. You can learn a lot from others. I see nice bonding opportunities with fathers and sons or mothers and daughters. Every American Legions needs new members as each year older military veterans pass on. This year 12 people passed away which is sad as the bell tolls during roll call when their name is called, no one answers and they ring the bell . It's a nice way to honor their duty in serving their country. They may be gone, but they will not be forgotten. Bless you all brave American soldiers! So go support your local American legion and donate. Oh also outside they have a Little Library box, which is nice to donate books and also take a book if you like.

My event was on the 7th floor of the Rotary Summit Center. The space was able to squeeze in 200-250 people with some exhibits space in the foyer. It fits in seven 6' x 30" table top, one coffee station, and one registration. The parking was easy. I was able to park on the 4th floor and took an elevator up to 7th floor for my event and got my coffee al within 5 minutes. I had a hot plated breakfast with freshly scrambled eggs, sausage, breakfast potatoes, grilled tomatoes, and some pastry. Food was overall above average as banquet food. It was served hot as soon as I sat down. Banquet servers were also very attentive to refill my coffee cup and picked up dirty plates politely. It's nice space to hold an event overall.

It offers Literacy Programs, Homework Help, STEM, etc. We host community events with the local Neighborhood Association like Earth Day litter pick-up events and National Night Out. We are open for 2.5 hours after school to give youth a safe place to hang out, supervised, after school. We are a non-profit and all of the services we provide are free to the youth we serve.
