Hubby didn't want place that had only frozen meat and we knew after our research that Horrmann was the place to come. They had our favorite type of meat tri-tip, and a beautiful marbled ribeye that we had to pick up straightaway. We are impressed to see that they had ostrich and lots of exotic meat as well. Lastly, we got some delicious goat cheese to finish off our upcoming amazing feast. This place sure lived up to our online. Researching expectations!!

We went recently for our first visit on a Friday night. I wasn't sure what to expect from the décor…read moreas it is a touch eclectic. I have to say overall I have a mixed reaction. We started with a honey flight with chutney, cheese and crackers and was asked by the server about upgrading from cream cheese to goat cheese. I Love goat cheese and was very glad that she had offered. This app could be one of my new favorite apps in Springfield. The chutney was delicious and with the variety of honey we chose, it was like six different apps on one plate... WE LOVED THIS! We followed the app up with fried chicken, mashed potato, gravy and corn bread. Our chicken was moist and tender but it had way to much crust on it for me and not enough meaty chicken. Also the mashed potatoes were very dense and heavy as was the gravy which had a unique seasoning to it. The cornbread was pretty basic as was the peach waffle dessert. While most of the great comments are coming from the breakfast crowd, I think I am going to have to visit again for a little breakfast. However I strongly suggest you go in for the honey flight as it is a real unique experience in these parts and quite tasty.

I think the taste of pineapple is more pronounced, and they seem sweeter. I also talked to the owner who plans on making the area more of a "food park" with seating and entertainment. He told me they planned on putting in a BBQ stand, and possibly adding a 3rd. It will be nice to see what happens in the coming months. I'm just glad to see some trucks coming to my side of town.

My husband got an egg sandwich and fruit. This was one of the best quiches I have tasted and I am a wonderful quiche maker!! Perfect blend of flavors in a round individual quiche! The soup was delicious on this rainy morning! My husband ate half his sandwich immediately and then saved the rest at lunch time. He was pleasantly surprised that hours later the bread was nice and soft! We goy a slice of blueberry pie to share later after lunch! It was the perfect blend of sweet/tart and the crust was flavorful too! I would recommend Tea Bar and Bites!

I understand if you have a big group coming "eventually" it's honestly a small place if it's that big of a group then close it down! Don't expect patrons to cater around you so you can make more money. Just because I wasn't spending hundreds doesn't mean you can treat me like a beggar... I think it was actually the owner too that was acting like people had to go to her establishment. Attitudes like this hurt local businesses.
