Neutered only one testicle…read more. Angry, hurt, disappointed..where do I even begin. I live in Dallas. I drove 80 miles to get my Sheru neutered. I work full time and don't have days off very often. This place was the only place that does walk in surgeries which I was happy about. As soon as I walked inside, I felt the worst energy possible. Everything in me told me to just go home despite driving 80 miles to get there. The front desk girls are just horrible. Customer service was awful, I didn't even get a hi from anyone. Nor was I told the price of surgery, how long it will take, what they were doing, when they were starting..nothing. The front desk girl just told me to bring him inside (he was in the car) and that's it. I took him in from the back of the clinic where they keep the pups post surgery. One of the cages was DROWNED in blood and it was unsettling. Since there was absolutely no communication, I finally asked the girls in the back WHILE they were sedating him in front of me "No one really told me the price, how much would it be?" They snarked at me and said it's my responsibility to ask the price myself (she said $200). Fast forward to later when I pick him up, thank the heavens he looked fine and even had energy to hop in my car seat which I'll give this clinic credit for..thank you guys for not butchering him. But guess what..THEY CHARGED ME $250. That's not including the cone and pain meds. I told them this wasn't the price I was told. 30 mins of back and forth, they fixed it. When I left the clinic and arrived home in Texas, unfortunately that's when I noticed they only neutered one testicle. Please look at the pics below.. I called the clinic 20 times (different parts of the day)..no one picked up. And when someone finally did, they implied I'm lying and how "unusual" that sounds. Please tell me why I'd be lying driving 160 miles in total for my dog while having one testicle removed. Needless to say, this place is absolutely awful and they genuinely do not care about your pets. They are just running a business. I now have to spend more money to get the other testicle removed. So ridiculous and upsetting.

I'm in the DFW area and local vets wanted $500-$1000 to do dental cleaning and possible extractions. They couldn't tell for sure what was wrong without x-rays. No need, he needed the dental cleaning anyway. Once I found out the amount the vets wanted, the ones who would do a 125 lb dog, I went on a desperate search for a vet I could afford. A local woman recommended Durant and listed several procedures they performed and the cost. It was mind blowing. I called and requested the cost of dental cleaning w/ possible extractions for my GP. It was so affordable I decided to include my 14 yr old papillon. It is also difficult to find a vet to do dental cleanings on dogs over 10 yrs on top of a giant breed. In a matter of 1 wk exactly, I took both dogs for an exam and bloodwork one day and the procedures 2 business days later. Two pre-exams and bloodwork, two cleanings, 5 extractions, and medications totaled LESS than the top estimate for one GP dental and extractions only. A little more than 40% less to be more precise. Now let's talk about my experience. That office is BUSY. Busier than I've ever seen, but surprisingly, as a walk-in (no appt) I honestly don't think I was there more than an hour for the exams and bloodwork. The ladies who work the front, the assistants, and the Dr are very aware of the importance of tending to their patients in a professional and timely manner. They are kind when it's time to see your pet and answer questions directly. Finally, if you're a pet owner who needs an excessive amount of attention in a non-emergency situation and enjoy paying ~$500 for an exam with little or no testing involved (what I paid to find out my GP's mouth was infected) then this is not the place for you. I genuinely believe this practice mindfully seeks the most affordable and effective solutions to your pet's health based on my experience.

I paid around $800 total for the procedure and care. After surgery, I was informed that it went well and that she would likely be able to come home once she started eating again. Unfortunately, she later passed away. What made this experience even more heartbreaking was the communication. I only received one phone call, which I unfortunately missed, i wasn't able to say goodbye to my dog. It was devastating knowing she spent her final moments alone in a cage surrounded by barking dogs. I understand complications can happen, but I truly feel the seriousness of her condition was not clearly communicated to me after the bloodwork and surgery. The long wait times and lack of follow-up communication made an already painful situation even harder. I brought her in because I trusted she would receive the care and attention she needed, and I left feeling heartbroken.

They claimed that it wasn't checked on the chart, but when they checked again, it was. They took him back to get mircrochipped but now we have to find another time to get his baby teeth pulled. What if that had been an allergy that they overlooked? Absolutely ridiculous and dangerous. Worst vet experience I've ever experienced.

From the moment we arrived, every team member demonstrated exceptional compassion, comfort, and helpfulness during an incredibly difficult time. When Monkey passed away, the staff supported me with professionalism and genuine kindness. They assisted with every detail, making an overwhelmingly painful experience as gentle and manageable as possible. I am deeply grateful for their compassion and the loving way in which each staff member treated both Monkey and me. It is rare to encounter such heartfelt care in a veterinary setting. Previously I had an outdoor cat that had a spider bite as well. So I knew the drill. Except this is 2026, and Dr Ferguson had Dixie fixed up in no time. I didn't have to leave her there. Her spider bite was cleared up within 3 weeks. I was at his office approximately 25 minutes. In and out like always. I love this doctor and his staff. Highly recommend. #DurantOklahoma #BryanCounty

But I will only speak for myself . PLEASE, for your sake but most of all your horses sake, take them anywhere else! I could tell you the night mares and money her partices have cost me and my horses and may one day if I have a couple of extra hours! This is not a fresh wound for me but felt compelled today to state my heart felt plea of warning for someone that might read yelps reviews about Katie Hayes. Don't prove me right! You will be kicking yourself because you have been forewarned. I wish she was even adequate enough since she is the closest equine vet around, but I will & do drive miles and miles to never use her again. NEVER! I will say that I did say that I would never use her once before several years ago and then used her for a simply procedure last year that one of my older horses needed on a holiday and guess what my horse even before getting him back in the trailer was at deaths door of what she did to him. She even said "you know, he propably won't make it through the night" She is COLD and only money driven. She charged me several++ hundreds of dollars because of all the meds he now need because of what SHE DID to him. I can and will confidently say I WILL NEVER EVER have her touch a horse of mine again. Looking back my horses where NEVER EVER diagnosed correctly and what ever she did and or did not do cost my horses so much more pain and me more money. I believe with ALL MY HEART that is her plan.
