So many problems in only 48 hours. My dog is sick and has been for sometime but it's finally time…read moreto put him down to ease his suffering. I called to make the appointment and they said they would have to muzzle him without proof of rabies and gave me prices for the service and the footprint. Call again to make sure they received our documents from other vet and they said it wasn't even needed and confirmed the price and bashed the last person I had talked with and said they never placed our appointment but wasn't a problem and they added the appointment now. Day of, I'm scheduled for 11am. I say my last goodbyes to my pup and drive over there. The location isn't even right and we just keep driving around guessing for a few miles. Get there and they said there is no appointment, they up their prices and now only take cash. Pretty sketch right. Then they tell us they don't do the footprint and my husband finds an album on the counter with footprints and prices and they're like "oh I guess we do" so needless to say I didn't get my boy put down there. If they couldn't even get his foot print right I imagine they would lose him/his ashes or even make it painless for him. Do NOT GO HERE.

I've had several bad experiences with this business. First of all, I needed to board my 13 year…read moreold golden retriever and my 3 year old toy poodle. I called ahead and brought their shot records in a week before their stay was scheduled. The shot records were from Texas and the tech working the receptionist's desk said that they didn't show all of their shots. My vet from Texas had to call them to tell her how to read the records. Also, she supposedly entered all of our personal info and appointment into the computer. Next, when I dropped my dogs off for their overnight stay, they didn't have any of our info in the computer and didn't show our appointment for boarding. Also, I told them that my golden drinks a lot of water and they needed to keep the water bowl full at all times. When I picked both dogs up after their 1 night stay, they both whined the entire way home (not normal) and when we got there, they both ran to the water bowl and stood there drinking for 3 minutes straight. It was like they didn't have water for quite a long time while they stayed here. Another complaint is about their pricing. There is a sign in the front office that they cannot dispense prescription meds without a $60 office visit or without a prescription from another vet. I had my vet in Texas send our golden's prescriptions to Texoma Animal Clinic so that we could get them filled without paying for an office visit. My husband went to pick up the prescriptions and had to pay $109 when we normally paid between $35-40 for them both in Texas. I guess they got their $60 office visit fee anyway! Next, I decided I'd give them one more chance...my 3 year old poodle was having some issues we'd never seen before (a possible seizure) on Thanksgiving Day. She recovered, but, I still wanted her checked out by a vet. So, Monday morning after Thanksgiving, I called to make an appointment. The tech who I talked to on the phone asked when I wanted to come in. I said today would be fine if she had anything open. She told me to come in at 10:30 am. My husband and I drove 20 minutes to their office just to be told, after waiting 10 minutes in the waiting room, that the vet just went back for surgery and do we want to leave our dog there for him to look at later. I told her that we had an appointment at 10:30 and she told me that they were kind enough to "work her in" to the schedule. I told her that this information should have been passed on when we made the appointment. I do understand emergencies come up, but, she didn't leave me with the impression that this was an emergency that came in. It seemed that this surgery was scheduled and that the tech who made our appointment just didn't have a clue. I'd rather drive 6 hours back to our old vet than to come back to this place. We left and will never be back.

They screwed up the IV on day two and the fluids went sub q into his paw which swelled up huge because they didn't notice the IV catheter came loose while he was in their care. He left in worse shape than he arrived. Right after paying them the $1800 and being told he still isn't feeling good, they brought out the wrong cat to us. Also had to sit in the waiting room for an hour past our appointment time, TWICE. I booked an appointment with my former vet in Dallas immediately after leaving with my cat and they were shocked at what I was charged. They stopped the antibiotics which weren't needed based on the type of crystals, did the fluids correctly and got him on the correct meds with the prescription diet and he was back to his normal self. Total cost at my Dallas vet for the exact same fluid treatment with catheter with the prescription food was $500. I'm gutted I got so ripped off at this Denison vet.
