Nice open yet cozy seating and friendly smiles all around. Two of us had a delicious Cobb salad - we both felt it needed a bit more dressing - but it was super fresh and tasty. One had a steakhouse burger which she really liked as well and we split Shed Fries and Sweet Potato fries. All was delicious. I knocked one star off because we all really felt the burgers should have come with fries as opposed to a pickle spear and coleslaw. For the price, an added pile of fries would have been nice as opposed to having to order a side plate. That aside, food was delicious, service was spectacular. John was super friendly and helpful with choices too. Tempted to go back to try their brunch items! Maybe before I leave I'll get back there!

Our server Nick was right on point with checking on us even while working with a very large group. Very professional and a joy to just talk with. We wish more servers were like him. We would certainly come back here for the food but also because of Nick. Well job everyone

There is large tree in the center of the space that immediately makes you feel at ease, as if entering the garden at an Italian villa. The lighting is muted and the interior is tastefully modern with leather chairs and white tablecloths. Our server Corina was very friendly and welcoming, answering our questions and making us feel at ease there. They have a nice selection of wines by the glass as well as bottles. We had Mascarelli montepulciano and Whispering Angel rose, both very good. I also had a Bourbon Peach Smash, a peach-y version of an old-fashioned that was tasty and refreshing. We started with burrata - amazingly fresh creamy mozzarella served with crostini, "cherry bomb" tomatoes and aged balsamic. Great way to start the meal! For our mains, we had chicken parmesan (extremely fresh and tender chicken & mozzarella with a hearty red sauce) ordered with a side of broccolini and their pork chop (grilled, red chimi, fingerling potatoes) - a thick and tender chop that was one of the best I've ever had, and the red chimi added a delightful little zing to it. For dessert, we ordered the affogato (wonderful vanilla gelato drowned with expresso at the table) - wonderfully decadent and delicious.

The complimentary Parmesan cheese they serve you in so darn good, I wanted to eat the whole plate. I opted for their Malfaldine Pasta and it didn't disappoint. The only miss for us were the mussels; on the fishy side and not edible for us. For dessert you must get the affogato!

Mind you, the restaurant was maybe 10% full. It was a bit off putting to us and didn't give us a great start to our meal. Beyond that, the food was lacking in quality for many of us and left us feeling a little sick afterwards. They put a lot of salt in their food and their chips were super oily. My chicken chimichanga wasn't good and the meat tasted a bit weird. My husband said the same about his tortilla soup; the chicken wasn't good and it was served like warm. I will say that I enjoyed my spicy margarita and their guacamole was awesome. My husband enjoyed his enchiladas and the taquitos!

The chicken gyoza dumpling appetizer (pan-fried with chili garlic sauce) was a flavor-filled delight and the dumpling were bursting with ground chicken. I could have ordered two of these and had them as my main, they were so good! The honey glazed salmon, served with green beans and sweet peppers, was tender and moist, with the crispness of the vegetables balancing it out. The glaze gave the salmon nicely sweet flavor. The Thai sweet & spicy shrimp (lightly coated and fried, served with bell peppers) was a perfect blend of sweet and savory. Delightful! We ordered a side of bok choy, in a savory brown sauce. Our server Tiffany was very helpful and attentive, and our food servings were well paced. Tao is a must if you're at Mohegan Sun!
