I went in the other day to buy a camping stove, and I also came away with the best fleece in terms of warmth I've ever bought. Not bad looking either. The fleece, I mean. As I was paying, a more experienced assistant popped up and asked if I needed gas to go with the stove. Four bottles for £4.99. That's service for you, it hadn't occurred to me that I might need gas! I left with a smile on my face!

I wouldn;t normally…read morechoose to go into the outdoors shops as I never need any of the items they sell, however I soon found what I needed but thankfully I had my partner with me as we had a buggy and I needed to go down to the lower level in the shop and I couldn;t see any lifts. The staff were limited in the shop but the pricer were reasonable. The staff were helpful in a limited way. Only one knew what she was talking about and the other was shouting at her from across the store with customers around. I found this to be a bit unprofessional but kept my lips tight so as not to mutter anything at them.

The staff are very helpful and friendly and always happy to show you a range of items. Only downside (and it's a minor one) is that there is only one changing room and when there is a queue you can feel a bit pressured to hurry along, especially if you've got a few items to try on. Its very easy to find and has a free car park that always has spaces. Its not in the town centre so great for popping in if you need something or have forgotten something, which is what I normally do. The shop has lots of stock covering all types of outdoor activites with pretty good prices. I bought a new tent from here a few years back and found them very helpful and listened to what I was looking for and helped me choose the correct one.

They may need to order in or send you else where. Tents, awnings, sleeping bags, trailers, water carriers, the whole deal. They are very helpful and give really good advice. They also won't sell you the first thing you see or the most expensive. A thumbs up in my book!
