She planned for seven years to be back sometime to be one of those surfers on NYD and this was the year. We stopped at TYF to get a board and wet suit and the staff (Abby and Tom) were so helpful. We were in and out in 15 minutes with our hire and they recommended the right beach with the right conditions. My daughter had a great time and when we returned the kit it was fast and easy. I can't even tell you how reasonable the prices were. Fantastic experience and we will be sure to come back again.

Although the shop is fairly small in size you can order goods from their catalogue and have it delivered to the store. If you enjoy the outdoor life then this is the store for you. The staff are knowledgeable and friendly and are always able to offer assistance if you require it. They have some good sales and discounts on throughout the year. They have a range of waterproof jackets, fleeces, hats, gloves etc for men, women and children. These vary from the cheaper Peter Storm range through to the more expensive Berghaus brand.

Not sure why it's called Cotswold as the stuff in here seems designed for ground that's a lot more challenging and rugged than the tame Cotswolds.

Part of a large chain, this is one of those Sports Shops that works on the 'pile-'em-high,…read moresell-'em-cheap' philosophy. It's hard to navigate the store for racks and two-tier displays of reduced-price branded sportswear, just as it's hard to imagine buying anything here that wasn't in a sale. The interior is so chock-full it's almost intimidating the antithesis of a pleasant retailing environment. Some of the stock is sold straight from boxes, which adds the bargain-shop feel. That said, if you're prepared to look, and know what you want, there are some real sportswear bargains to be had, and the youthful staff seemed genuinely eager to help (and good at managing the queue to serve first-comers first). So worth a look if you want something specific, but not really suited to casual browsing. NB This is a different chain from the 'Giles Sports' shops.

I first caught a glimpse of the back end of the shop when I was on the train going somewhere and could just see all these tents. Intrigued I went to have a look when I after some outdoorsy christmas presents. There was almost too much choice and whats more that had lots of reasonably priced gear as well as the high end stuff. Apparently will not replace anything that does not have a guarantee and the manager Gareth does not know what the line 'this does not affect your statutory rights' mean. So they are quite happy to fraudulently convince customers that they cannot replace/repair or refund when that customer is legally entitled to one. Only bad review I have given a store in my 40 years, quite simply a horrible, horrible business who are doing their best to screw you. They hate their customers with a passion. I spent a grand in there and now have nothing to show for it, they are worse than thieves. In the end the joke in on them, going out this week to buy whole new sets of horse riding gear for my 2 daughters, and a whole new tent set up and will be spending that in another store. So to save themselves a quick buck they are losing nearly 2 grand of income, which admittedly is not much to them! Word of warning all their own brands tents are designed to fail and they will assure you there is no way of repairing or replacing parts, forcing you to buy a whole new tent!
