After years of leaving a fur coat and two jackets in a closet at home, I discovered a moth infestation. Miller's did a terrific job cleaning and reconditioning them. They looked like new. The service from Jason and Michael was excellent and I ended up trading in some older fur and leather outerwear for a beautiful new and practical reversible cloth/fur coat. I have learned that I need to put fur items in storage/cleaning with Millers for out of season. Their prices are reasonable and the service impeccable. read more

Took a vintage fur to repair a rip and was blown away about how amazing the customer service was. The associates were very attentive and identified the type of fur immediately (I had no clue what is was, lol). Not only was the pricing fair, but the turnaround time for repair was super quick *and* my item was delivered TO MY DOORSTEP once the repair was complete. Listen. I have a stole and a coat from them that I've inherited FROM THE 50s! Here we are in 2021 and both pieces are immaculate to this day! The quality is for sure unmatched and can't be duplicated. My great grandparents were collectors of Furs and more than half of their collection came from Miller's, some custom pieces as well. I've never been to the actual location so this review is based strictly on my pieces and quality. I will recommend cold storage for anyone needing to place their items in a safe place. If it's difficult to find the storage consult with moving company's that do PCS moves and government storage. They typically have what is called 'high value' storage areas where things are climate kept and will store civilian items at a small fee. read more

I needed a place to sell my mother's mink after she passed. I had tried another place with no luck. For that place, I first needed to pay for repairs and cleaning (okay, necessary) but then needed to pay for cold storage for the time it was in their possession. At Miller's, there were no charges and through their Vintage Furs site, it was a relatively quick sale. And, I could not be more happy with how I was treated by the gentleman at the store, as it was emotional to leave the fur she so loved. I highly recommend them to anyone! read more

These people are R-U-D-E. I took my mother's vintage mink coat in to get an idea of how much it would cost to repair various tears in the sleeves. I realize the coat is in pretty bad shape, because my mother (who has Alzheimer's) has not stored it properly, but the owner actually told me she'd be better off burying it in the back yard! How am I supposed to tell my mother that?! And, I mean, who even says that! Totally unprofessional. On top of that, he was snippy and said he'd never even heard of Philip Reiner Furs New York ~ a vintage furrier whose creations are all over the internet. Love this store! I have always gotten prompt service, even this past weekend which is inauguration. I called on Wednesday to make arrangements to pick up my jacket and it was ready on Friday. They offer cold storage for $45 a year which isn't bad and also will monogram and recondition your item on request. I will be leaving my baby with them after the season is over. read more

Several years ago I purchased a fur coat from Miller's Furs in Chevy Chase. I really enjoy wearing it. I have always had excellent service from them and they all seem so knowledgeable. Sometimes I just go in the store to browse and chat, I don't always buy, but they are more than willing to speak with me about the different furs and items they have in their shop. I now have all of my furs cleaned and stored with them. I am always happy when they are delivered to me before the start of the cold winter months.
