I was so ignorant when I started, but by the end, when I signed the papers locking in my rate, I felt confident because I knew what I was doing. He explains every step very clearly and leads people in the right financial direction based on their income, savings, and assets. Most importantly, he saved my husband and me over 2,000 USD in origination fees. Because he works for himself, he does not have the overhead costs a bank or mortgage firm has. This means the bank pays him; you do not. Moreover, after doing several price comparisons, it was evident that the rates he landed were as good or better than other companies and banks. Don't waste your money. It pays to at least contact Brian and see what he can do for you. When we purchase our next home, we will go back to Brian. We couldn't have asked for a better deal or experience.

After several weeks and faxing a huge amount of paperwork, paying for an appraisal, I quit the process. After several years and interest rates dropping I was began this process again. I was again using Quicken loans. My son who is a financial advisor and real estate investor looked over the information the officer gave me and showed me the large amount of hidden costs of the loan. He recommended Douglas Quick. Boy was that a Godsend. There were no hidden fees and my loan was so easy I couldn't believe it. It was processed in record time and everyone I worked with was terrific. Shout out to Douglas Quick who was on top of everything constantly from beginning to end. I could have been his only client and wouldn't have gotten more attention. He was so good! Unfortunately, they brought in an appraiser from Raleigh who didn't know our market and our appraisal came in lower than the offering price on the house. We thought the whole deal was going to fall through. Our real estate agent suggested we try Carolina Home Mortgage, and they made the process so easy. CHM brought in a well-qualified appraiser, a local title attorney, and talked us through the various fees. Kearny, the owner, personally handled our mortgage and was always available by phone. He explained what we needed to do at each step of the process. When we decided to refi, we went back to Carolina Home Mortgage, and they were a pleasure to work with again. Kearny made sure our mortgage was prioritized and processed before our rate lock expired and a federal rate increase went into effect. We ended up with a rate more than a quarter of a point lower than any other mortgage broker offered us. Can't recommend Carolina Home Mortgage highly enough.

I stuck with this property management company for five years, paying them every month. The one time…read moreI actually needed them, they completely abandoned me. My tenant had an unauthorized cat in my home which is an undeniable lease violation. Professional cleaners found cat urine on the baseboards and cat hair all over the house. They provided a written letter confirming it. I already know what MozeZen is going to say. They'll claim there were no damages which is irrelevant. The $400 pet fee isn't for damages, it's for simply having a pet in the unit. They'll probably also try to hide behind the fact that the tenant was allowed to have service animals. Doesn't matter. By North Carolina law, a cat cannot be a service animal. Instead of doing their job, they refused to collect the fee and told me to go chase the tenant myself. This whole situation reminded me of insurance. You pay them for years, then when you actually need them, they're useless. The broker in charge, who made this decision, wouldn't even speak to me. I was told she had more important things to do. So, imagine you have an issue with a property management company you've been paying for 5 years and the decision maker won't even take 10 minutes out of their day to have a discussion with you. Five years of loyalty for that disrespect? If you just want a basic property management company and never have any tenant issues, they may be okay. But the moment something actually goes wrong, you're on your own. Save yourself the headache and go with someone else.

I hope and pray nobody else has to deal with them or go through a similar experience I have gone through.
