I went there recently for a friends private party and was extremely disappointed. Nobody was…read moremanning the bar upon arrival and when eventually there were staff, they had no wine. As part of our friends birthday there were "fountain firework" candles on the cake which the staff were more than happy to light in the kitchen. When this subsequently set off the fire alarms, someone who appeared to be the manageress became quite aggressive and confrontational towards everyone. Towards the end of the night I ordered two coffees, only to be told that they couldn't serve coffee as the machine had been "turned off for an hour". I explained this couldn't be the case as my mother had just had one. This was greeted with an aggressive bar maid who quite clearly just didn't want to make it. The bar maid was eventually ordered to make the coffees for us. When I later apologised as I hadn't intended for there to be any offence, the bar maid ignored me and then deliberately sprayed detergent on my back. A bouncer then decided to join in and suggested that I was drunk and had an attitude problem...when I'd simply ordered a coffee. We were then asked to leave where there was a further altercation with the manageress (?) and bouncer who became confrontational with members of the party. Extremely poor customer service, aggressive attitudes from bar staff and bouncers in need of anger management. No wonder the Littleton Arms has taken over in popularity.
