We were genuinely excited to try out Miller & Carter, but immediately started to have a bad experience the moment we stepped into the restaurant. The hostess at the front desk was nice but asked us if we had a table reserved when the restaurant was totally empty, and proceeded to be totally empty aside from one couple that was seated on the other end of the restaurant from us. We were sat quite far and out of view from the entrance, the vibe and ambience was totally off and there was a just a sense of dread. Totally not what you want from what is supposed to be a cool and yummy steak place. Despite this, we still stayed to give it a try and were met with perhaps the most unintentionally/intentional (I really don't know) rude waiter I've had in my entire life. Not only was he incompetent to the point in which he could not recommend a single wine to us (the restaurant has a wine room, so maybe you'd expect a bit of training in that regard no?), but he also just said to order the most expensive if we want the best, but anyone who drinks wine knows that's not the case. After selecting a bottle, he told us that it is a good choice (what the hell? I thought you couldn't recommend anything). Safe to say we stayed for the wine and immediately ordered the bill and proceeded to find another restaurant. The wine ordered was great, but due to unprofessionalism and a clear lack of training we immediately ordered the bill and left. I would never recommend this place to anyone no matter how great the food may be, the upmost priority in an establishment like this is customer service. The tables were sticky and felt like they have never been wiped down, the whole place just feels wrong. Pretty shocked, but not totally surprised. If you value your time, and self-respect before anything else then do not come here. I would rate this 0 stars if it were possible. read more
