She listens with care and offers thoughtful advice--even when I wasn't quite ready to hear it--yet she always remains patient and steady in her guidance. It can be hard to find a therapist who is both professional and skilled, but she has been exactly that. She's knowledgeable, takes the time to understand where I am, and adjusts to meet me in that space. Her ability to balance professionalism with compassion has made each session a place of real growth and support.

My mood is always elevated by the end of the session. She helps you to get past incorrect perceptions and grounds you in reality while constantly encouraging you. I have gone to Jessie for a year and I trust her and wouldn't consider any other therapist because I don't want to take a step backwards in my progress. I cannot express how little I would recommend Kathy. She told me I had DID (Multiple Personality…read moreDisorder). No matter how many times I told her I didn't and refused to engage in her silly activities, she assured me I did have DID. (My current trauma therapist is also certain I don't have DID.) When I was raped by someone I knew, Kathy said, "You had sex with (person). So what!?!" And the appointment after Christmas she spent the entire session telling me about her Christmas lunch at the Peabody with her friend who ate too slow and so they missed the movie. (Kathy enjoyed the new potatoes they served!) Thankfully my insurance changed and I had to stop seeing here. Should have left a long time before that! Don't see Kathy. At best she won't help, at worst she's harmful.

Pamela Keeling-Nuttall is fantastic! During her time working…read morein New Jersey, I began my visits with her. Unfortunately, due to her move from New Jersey down to Tennessee, we were forced to part ways. Due to certain circumstances that I had faced within my personal life, I began seeking therapy sessions. As luck would have it (through the medical center that I went through), I was partnered up with Pamela. Pamela immediately made me feel "at ease". I could open up to her about all that I was going through, without any sort of fear of being "judged". I always felt that she listened to my words with an open and understanding mind. Throughout the years (of our meetings), there were times that I didn't exactly follow the path of guidance that she had given. But, nonetheless, she was alwaysss compassionate and understanding of all of the words that I spoke to her. After each meeting, I walked away with a feeling of my mind "being opened" to a new perspective. She helped me tremendously with thinking of my situation from a different perspective. She helped to open my eyes to "the other side of things". When seeking therapy, most search for a person that will "just listen" or just "be a shoulder to cry on", but with my visits with Pamela, I had all of that and then some... NEVER ONCE did I feel guilty about my life's choices and NEVER ONCE did I feel judged/pressured by the words that she said to me... Pamela has SUCHHH a kind heart! She ONLY thinks of the betterment of her clients! In the world that we all currently live in, it's a RARITY to find a person that will listen to all of our words, and give an unbiased, heartfelt, looking-out-for-our-best-interest response... And Pamela gave that to me. She is a VERYYY kind and genuine human being. She is the type of "kind and genuine" that you would, without a moment of hesitation, personally vouch for her level of passion and integrity. Although she moved moved manyyy states away, I still feel connected to her because of all of the tools that she gave to me. Pamela is a true helper and a true partner. She cares about YOU. Her passion is to ensure that you can better yourself. Those that live in Tennessee should consider themselves lucky to have her because, MOST DEFINITELY, New Jersey misses her!

This is a horrible place, full of incompetence. I came here expecting to be assessed for ADHD,…read morewhich is what my appointment was scheduled for. Instead, Tomika Washington completely invalidated me while I was explaining why I believe I have ADHD and the problems I've faced. She is supposed to be a psychiatric nurse, yet she made extremely hurtful and stereotypical statements about ADHD. She told me I couldn't possibly have ADHD because I was sitting still and not moving around. She also said that because I didn't make bad grades in school, that disqualifies me from having ADHD. She claimed that if I truly had ADHD, I would have already been diagnosed and would have had accommodations during my school years. Instead of helping me, she told me that when I go to college, if I start doing badly in school, then I can come back to get diagnosed. She repeatedly tried to push a diagnosis of anxiety on me, even though I do not have anxiety and said nothing that would indicate that I do. Anyone in the psychiatric field should know that people with ADHD can sit still (some do and some don't). There are also many adults who are only now being diagnosed, even in their 40s, because ADHD was not widely recognized or properly screened for when they were younger. There are also many people with ADHD who make good grades. Often, because of their intelligence, they learn to compensate and work harder than everyone else. You shouldn't have to wait until your life starts falling apart before you are able to get help. On top of invalidating me and spreading misinformation about ADHD, she also put words in my mouth by claiming I had anxiety and was worried about school when I never said anything like that. She even suggested that I probably have autism simply because I wasn't energetic in my speech. If you want someone who will invalidate your concerns, put words in your mouth, and show a lack of understanding about their own profession and mental disorders, then this is the person for you. If not, go see an actual psychiatrist or a psychiatric nurse who is competent and compassionate.
