These guys not only responded right away (at 9pm Sat, wow!), they offered the lowest rates - they really wanted to help. They showed up as scheduled the next day and started moving right away. We really appreciate that they didn't complain about anything and also figured out a way to navigate thru narrow passages with heavy items - without making a dent or scratch. We scheduled our move about a month in advance, and they only required a very reasonable $100 deposit to secure our date. The day before our move, Genevieve called to confirm everything was set. She also let me know that the foreman would call the morning of the move to confirm their exact arrival time, which made the whole process feel very organized and stress-free. On moving day, I was introduced to our team: Richard (the foreman) and movers Aaron and Dylan. I showed them what needed to be moved, and from that point on, they took complete control in the best way possible. They worked efficiently and professionally, and it was clear they knew exactly what they were doing. We were initially quoted 5 1/2 hours, but the job was completed in just 4 1/2 hours. Even better, we were only charged for the actual time it took--not the original estimate. That level of honesty is so refreshing. Richard and his team took excellent care of all of our belongings. Everything was wrapped in moving blankets and secured with packing tape, and all items arrived at our new home in the same condition they left our old one. I truly cannot recommend In A Zip Moving Company enough. We also learned that they offer out-of-state moves, and with several of our family members planning moves from California to Florida, we will absolutely be referring them to In A Zip. The movers took a long time to move my things for my studio, but they did have to disassemble and assemble furniture which they did well. They weren't able to take anything not boxed so I'm still having to move things between apartments after my move like ironing board. I would've liked the upfront notice. The movers themselves were very nice and professional and obviously trying their best. If I was writing about my impression of them it would be 5 stars, but getting a receipt shouldn't be this hard. I noticed what seemed to be dripped ice cream down the front of the fridge and opened the freezer (barely bc I immediately closed it shut from the stench!) to find it had broken and was horridly disgusting. I immediately called around to see if I could order a quick replacement fridge and haul away, but nothing was less than 2 days out and we didn't want the fridge sitting there in disgust waiting for a new fridge replacement. Thanks to Google one of the options for haul away in our area was Handy Arms Moving Services. I'm so thankful that I chose to call them. He advised they typically have a minimum 2-hour rate but given we just needed a single appliance haul away he would work with us. We're so glad that Jonathan said yes they could help and that he could come immediately.. Seriously.. he jumped in the truck and came immediately to our rescue. Jonathan and his son were extremely nice and professional. They immediately provided their ETA once we provided our address, and they provided another update when 5 minutes away. I highly recommend them for any haul-away or moving needs. I would certainly use them again!
