I also found the prices to be really reasonable, especially for some of the more uncommon offerings. I found some fairly unique succulents that were priced in the $3.99 - $6.99 range. A friend of mine had also asked me to look out for Thai Constellation Monsteras (becoming less and less rare, as it's the new "fad plant", but still), and I found a couple different sizes... all seemingly in proportional cost to what you'd fine at a big box store, but of higher quality. My mother ended up finding a pretty sizable hibiscus plant that perfectly reasonable in cost as well... and she stocked up on plenty of veggie & herb plants, including some heirloom tomato varieties that are hard to find. All their items are in really wonderful condition - nothing browning/crispy/dying, and I don't think I saw a pest (fungus gnat, etc) or anything the entire time I was in the store. Honestly, everything in the store just appears lovingly cared for. I'll definitely be back on my own, and my mother even said we should make it an annual tradition to visit here before Mother's Day and stock up on plants. Sign me up!

We were very happy with our first purchases last Spring. So much so that we decided to make them…read moreour primary source for this year's hanging baskets. About a month ago we revisited them. We had saved last season's baskets because they complimented our exterior decor so well. Because of that we inquired as to whether we could reuse the baskets, and specify what flowers would be included in each arrangement. We were informed that we could do so on both counts. And, that we would be informed by phone when they were available for pickup. We heard nothing further. So, yesterday we called and inquired as to the status of our order. They informed us that the baskets were ready for us. So, we drove there, about a 25 minute drive from our home, late yesterday afternoon. Upon arrival we inquired of the female employee at the checkout counter about our baskets. At first she was unsure, but she inquired of the owner and ultimately the arrangements were located. However, only one basket (out of 5) contained the flowers we had requested. The employee checked the order records and no, the arrangements were not as ordered. So, they were returned to their workshop for correction. About ten to fifteen minutes later they were returned. But, when we went to pay for them we discovered that the price was about 20% higher than the previous year. When we inquired as to the reason we were told by two, of the approximately 14 year old, female employees (this is a Mennonite enterprise) that the increased cost was due to the reuse of our old baskets; that doing so made it "more work for them". We might have argued the point further with the female owner. However, she had left us to riding mow her lawn, while carrying her infant daughter on her lap. Needless to say, we probably will be buying our hanging baskets closer to home next year. Too bad.

The man who owns this place was so helpful and the variety of options they have are unmatched. I kinda don't even want to post this review because I feel like it's Ithaca's best kept secret.. then again, this place was so beautiful & fun to explore, I need to share it with others! I knew we were in for a treat as we approached the busy parking lot on a glorious Saturday in December. We checked out the pre-cut selection and decided to grab a saw and hit the terrain and I am glad we did. It took us about 20 minutes to select our near perfect tree. The saw was sharp and it was a matter of minutes before we were on our way back to the barn where they wrapped up our tree in string, not the standard netting, which I appreciated. I am glad I checked out this local tree farm.
