Milkworks is amazing! I have really enjoyed my lactation visits there (unlimited with my insurance, definitely check your benefits). I would also highly recommend getting your pump here and having a prenatal consultation to get some tips to prepare for before baby comes. The advice I got helped me make the most of my hospital stay and inpatient lactation resources as well. They also have a really cute shop with adorable baby gifts (think Sarah Wells bags, Copper Pearl burp cloths, Kindred Bravely nursing bras etc) and all the pumping accessories you could need! They also do weighted feeds so you can see how much milk your baby is getting which is so reassuring in those first couple of weeks when you are worried about weight gain. read more

When I first found out I was pregnant I knew nothing about breastfeeding... I wandered into MilkWorks and the staff was so friendly and helpful! I pictured hippie, aromatherapy loving, organic only mommas but I was pleasantly surprised. All are welcome here, even if you have no knowledge of breastfeeding. Today, I attended a "Return to Work" class to learn more about pumping when returning to work. It was informative and helpful but even more than that it relieved me to hear that my concerns were not silly and in fact most of the other ladies in the class had the same worries too. Tip: if you are looking to get your pump somewhere, get it at MilkWorks... your pump plan will allow you to attend classes for free. I have blue cross/ blue shield health insurance and my pump cost was fully covered. read more

I cannot say enough good things about MilkWorks. Breastfeeding was one of the hardest things for me about becoming a new parent and I felt that I had wonderful support from my Lactation Consultant. I came in for weekly appointments for the first few weeks to make sure that my baby was getting enough and each appointment I left feeling encouraged. read more
