Delivery of high end, bespoken, farmers market fruits, vegetables, cheeses and meats - how could you go wrong with this company?! The cool thing is - you can sign up based on a desired price point and you get a sort of mystery box once a week (not really - they email you a few days before the delivery with a list of your expected items). We love it! It's just such a great idea. It's the perfect compliment to Instacart and regular grocery runs. We've gotten some really interesting leafy greens we'd never have purchased if we were left to our own shopping. Milk Run has been one of the highlights of our quarantine. I've been using MilkRun for around 3 months now -- They always deliver incredibly fresh, super flavorful food! I've really been blown away by what they're offering. They've got some cool stuff that you don't see in grocery stores, sure, but it's the quality of the staple groceries that'll keep me on board forever, I haven't seen fresher eggs or better bacon anywhere. I used them before and originally liked the service, but ultimately quit using them because of an ethics issue. On their website they say there is no bottle deposit and "Milk bottle deposits are covered by us," which makes it sound like they're not passing the cost on to the consumer... but actually, they pass the price of the deposit on to the customer AND don't reimburse you when you return the container. For example, the main thing I liked to get every week was the milk. It's Garry's Meadow Fresh Milk from Lady-Lane Farms (best milk ever, BTW). Let's say the milk itself is $5 (I don't remember the exact price) and the bottle deposit is $2 (this is the correct price... it's high because it's a glass bottle), well Milk Run would just charge $7 and not give you anything back when you return the bottle. I figured this out when I saw the same milk in New Seasons for the exact same price... but you would get your $2 back if you return your bottle to New Seasons. The same thing happened with a deposit on a pie plate, which I looked into after I realized about the milk. When I discovered this, I felt like I was being ripped off and lost all faith in the company. So my issue wasn't with the service itself, it was the fact that they said they "don't charge" deposits or delivery fees but actually do charge them, but don't care to return your deposit to you. The worst part is that I wouldn't have minded if they had a good reason for it (and explained that in their FAQ) and I wouldn't have minded if they charged a delivery fee, but I minded that they're lying/intentionally misleading people about it. So it was an ethics thing for me to stop using the service and I certainly can't recommend a company to other people who choose to rip off their customers and lie about it. read more

Horrible Customer Service!!! I placed an order on 5/7/20 that included 2 Sheep's Milk. The order was delivered on 5/12. The milk in the order was dated as expired on April 21, 2020. As you might imagine, the milk was no good. I emailed Milkrun and was told they would replace the milk with my next order. They did not. I emailed again on 5/22/2020 and 5/27/2020. No response. But they certainly keep sending me their automated marketing emails. As there's no other way to contact the company except by email, I am left with no recourse. So disappointed with a service that is supposed to help local farmers move their product. read more

Milkrun is an organization we should all support. They do more than do home delivery. They connect with local farmers and producers to source the freshest product, which provides a vital lifeline to these suppliers, many of whom are smaller family owned operations. The state of our food supply chain in this country is based on mass production, low cost, industrialized farming. We need locally sourced food, that not is better tasting but supports our local farms. Milkrun does that perfectly. Their product selection is diverse, service is friendly. read more

I love Milkrun. I use them to complement my normal shopping, and to get meat, produce, and other things from local producers (there is this hot sauce on there that I am just addicted to). I care a lot about supporting small and local producers, and this is a really great way to do that. We've had a great experience using Milkrun, the quality is always excellent, the customer service is absolutely top notch! My only complaint would be I'd love them to expand their selection a bit (especially the cheese, pre-made, and pet selections). Big lack of transparency. MilkRun Market = not local, and they refused to tell anyone where they "donated" funds they said they raised for BLM. Also they said nothing for weeks until they decided to share the news of their Seattle launch. Shady. read more

MilkRun is a FANTASTIC grocery delivery service. Everything is always super fresh and delicious, the brands/farms they carry are local and often organic, and the prices are very reasonable (sometimes even cheaper than the grocery store!). Occasionally I've had an item that I ordered be out of stock, but I haven't had an issue come up that wasn't promptly and competently handled. It's been so helpful to have MilkRun service, especially during this time of social distancing, but I will definitely continue to use them long after that has passed! read more

I absolutely love this service. It's like shopping at the best farmer's market without even leaving your house. I have gotten some of the best products. It feels like such a treat to get fresh local dark chocolate covered hazelnuts from Hummingbird, fresh produce, amazing coffee from Capitola, yummy charcuterie meats from Olympia Provisions, gourmet cheeses, and the most delicious sweetheart ham I've ever tasted from Revel Meats. I love MilkRun. We've been getting the weekly box delivered for a few months now, and everything has been really high quality. It's so nice not to have to meal plan from a blank page. Instead I see what's coming in my box a few days before it arrives, and I get to be creative when thinking about what to make. They're super responsive whenever we've wanted to make changes to the kinds of things we get delivered. I also love that there's not much plastic, they reuse stuff like milk bottles and egg cartons, and use paper bags where possible. Super highly recommend! read more

We have used them several times now- and I find myself browsing often just to be updated on the treats I can find locally! The meat selection in particular has been absolutely fantastic. Since we have been house bound because of Covid I have relied on them for things that are harder to find in an average online grocery order- specialty bacon, fresh bagels, fancy candy. I love MilkRun, they deliver amazing, fresh local produce and other pantry items. I've never had issues with late deliveries or missing items. I would absolutely recommend them! My only problem is that they still use too much packaging. Although very little and most of them are brown paper bags, still, I often find it completely unnecessary. read more

Very good quality produce and meats, but the service needs some serious improvement. Three orders in a row are missing items. Sure, they give a credit once you complain but when they leave out all the produce it's pretty hard to rely on them. I do not recommend their milk, it has no dates on it and ours went sour within 2 days both times we tried it. Overall it's hard to recommend despite how much I like most of the products. read more
