Checking in at the front desk was easy. I had filled out the necessary documents online, so check in went quick. I also had my payment ready which was helpful (and they gave me a 10% discount). While I was signing documents, the sweet lady at the front desk chatted with my daughter and made her feel better. This was just the first good encounter of many. We didn't wait long before we were called back. The young lady that took us back was so sweet with my daughter. I wish I had caught we her name. She also helped to calm the nerves of my daughter. The anesthesiologist was an absolute hoot! We loved his "dad jokes." It was nice of him to come in and explain the anesthesia process to my 8-year-old. It helped her to know what to expect. Dr. Major also popped in to say hello. He was great with explaining things and calming the nerves. After speaking with him, I knew she was in good hands. Surgery went super quick (which is a good sign)! They had me back there with her in the recovery room in no time at all! The nurse, Michelle, is possibly the sweetest human being to exist. She's the one who took care of my child after surgery. She brought her water, a popsicle, and a nice warm blanket. When my daughter was still shivering, Michelle rushed to get her another warm blanket. She made sure my child was as comfortable as she could be. Michelle sat down with me and explained what to expect and how to care for my daughter post surgery. She highlighted the very important information and made sure I didn't have any questions. She gave me a few tips and tricks which have been a lifesaver. When my daughter was feeling well enough, Michelle wheeled her out to my car in a wheelchair. She let me bring the car around the front so my daughter didn't have to be out in the cold. We had a great experience here and I'd highly recommend this surgical center!

One or two seemed not very happy to be there and weren't as helpful as the other angels working there. My wife had an epidural. It helped a lot with the pain. However, the nurse anesthetist, a heavyset younger gentleman, had something lodged up his behind. He was short with our L&D nurse and with us. He did fine inserting the epidural, but really was not an impressive person at all. Part of healthcare is customer service and helping your patients enjoy their experience as much as possible. That nurse anesthetist and some of the postpartum nurses could definitely work on that aspect. Overall, a happy, great experience. Everyone was expert in what they were doing. The food service would even call at meal time to make sure my wife was taken care of. Nice facilities. You do deliver in the same room you recover in but they clean everything up nicely. Would rank 5 stars if not for those few staff who can improve on their patient interactions. Would come here again.

My parents were there for me for years, helping send me to many rehabs. One rehab was even a two-year program. I could stay clean for a few weeks or even some months but nothing worked. Fifteen months ago I overdose for the eighth time. After being in the hospital for several weeks, I was done. A friend of mine Daniel Kelso contacted me. We had the opportunity to visit this location for an outpatient procedure. It was nice to have a…read moreseparate place away from the hub-bub and crazy parking at the hospital. They had a central check in desk and waiting area right inside the doors. Once checked in, you can sit relax, while tracking your status on the posted TV screen showing the procedures in the queue and what doctor is assigned. Once we were called back, they set us up in a cubby hole type room with walls on 3 sides and open to the hall with a pull curtain for privacy. The nurses station was right outside our room so we heard all the conversations that they had both professional and personal. They had a drink station in the area, that family can use when waiting for the patient. Our procedure took longer for the preparation and waiting, than the procedure itself. We were in and out in less and 20 minutes for the actual procedure. Unfortunately, the computer system screwed up our discharge orders and we had to wait around longer than we wanted and then never got the paperwork in the end. I like the convenience and efficiency of the surgical center, but they need a bit of work on the processing-of-patients part.
