Horrible service - I waited over 1hr for them to take a lunch break, the place looked closed…read more then the lady was so rude, the regular nail polish selection was limited and limited Opi nail polish. She rudely said "only can try 2 nail polishes" I felt like leaving as they are cheap and not customer based. in contrast the location in Wanchai is night and day difference. I actually like going there and feel welcomed. Peace out Nails 88 in Sheung Wan. No wonder your not on google...hahah

So don't think that by giving only 3 Stars that I will not go back. For a pedicure option for…read moreregular if not weekly visits, you can't beat a $98 HKD pedicure. You just can't! If you are looking for fancy and pampering and want to spend $300+, go to Central. They have lots of those options there. But if you are looking to clean up your feet and have your nails done, this is a good spot. Now as one on-line review I read indicated, you have to get past the clutter scattered about. It is not grimy/not clean, it is cluttered from high traffic and maybe some dust and chairs that they could bother to clean. Let this not detract you though and you kind of have to look beyond this, especially like me if you are use to strict, hygenic, American salon standards. They were spraying tools with alcohol as they went along. I think the girls in this shop are Vietnamese. The place is small and you are sitting elbow to elbow with other clients. We went on a Sunday and they were very busy...let's of English speaking women were walking in the door, so the gig is up on what a great deal this place is. Pedicure is basic. Short foot soak, nail and cuticle trimming, slicing and scrubbing of callous, , polish. Nothing fancy and just a pedicure. The girl who helped me, her name was My. She was efficient, quick and did good work. I would absolutely go back and see her. Polish options were OPI and another brand (cannot recall). Clearly the gig is up though on this great nail spot though and maybe an appointment would be a good suggestion. As we sat there, many people came in and the staff said either to come back later or no they could not accomodate. We were a walk-in, but I think we just had good timing. My husband had a pedicure too and his was $120 HKD. We were not sure what more than mine, considering that he does not wear polish, but still a great deal. We rounded up and left a $32 HKD tip for both our services. They were good, we were happy and a tip was warrented. We saw other not leave one and I know that is OK by Hong Kong standards as well. I'm going back to see My. Again, if you are a regular for general clean up of your feet, this is a decent spot....ignore the clutter. If you want something fancy and more massage, go someplace else.

He was pretty friendly. Definitely make an appointment as the small salon was full of people by 12:30 (half an hour after opening). Although I received a beautiful matte red gel mani - I'm subtracting a star due to add on costs that were not disclosed on their attractive sign outside promising a gel mani for $150 HKD. For OPI gel and a matte top coat it was an additional $60 (30 each) because of the quality of OPI gel and the additional cost of materials for the two swipes of matte gel on top. If I lived in HK, I would come here often - but definitely would get a quote on the service before being surprised at the end with the cost of it.

But not Nail Ten. I just got a fabulous blue gradient gel manicure for $310, including the price it took to take off the gel I already had on. They have tons of colors to choose from and lots of fun designs including jewels, glitter. little characters, etc. If you want a crazy manicure with something different on every nail, rhinestones, glitter, the whole shebang, this is the place to go! I was able to make an appointment and come in the same day. The shop is small so I'd recommend doing the same. The address for this spot is on Li Wok St, but the entrance to the building is actually on Hillier... took me a few min of wandering around to figure that out!

I've yet to find a nail salon in ANY city that offers better: 1) Selection: Chanel, Marc Jacobs, YSL, Dior, OPI, Essie, Butter London, CND Shellac, appliqués, etc etc the list goes on... 2) Service: their manicurists are patient and meticulous. You're offered complimentary drinks (champagne, wine, assortment of teas, juice anything you can think of) and snacks. After every session they gave you a set of complimentary nail buffer and cuticle stick to take away. They offer a large assortment of up to date magazines. 3) Ambience: the whole space literally looks and feels like a NYC style loft/library with high ceilings and huge collections of nailpolishes on display. Located in Po Hing Fong it's such a great escape from the craziness of Hong Kong. You can tell Ping the owner really cares, from all the fine touches of decor she personally picked out to the well trained girls that work there. They also have a smaller location in Central called The Loft but this location used to be my bi-monthly pamper sesh to de-stress and treat myself! Loved this spot!!

On the wooden shelves were what looked like the entire collection of the much coveted Christian Louboutin polishes, Chanel, Dior, YSL, Marc Jacobs, Burberry, Butter London, Deborah Lippmann, Ciate, OPI, Essie, and other branded polishes. The manicurist was so careful with my nails. I get OCD when polish is uneven or if it doesn't form an even line around my fingernails. This manicure was perfection! I wanted triangular studs at the bottom of each finger. The manicurist hit the nail on the head and gave me exactly what I wanted. I can't stop staring at my nails. They're beaaaautiful! I love the colour and the triangular studs kind of match with my obsession, my Valentino Rockstuds.

It took me almost 28 years to realise why women so often went for their ritual spa treatment. I've…read morealways thought, that's a girl thing... like playing football is a guy thing. But picture this - hot, sore, blisters on one's feet, or relaxed, revitalized, and no more back pain. Ok, I fully understand it's not fair to compare the two... so why not do both? Pure Touch, though mainly for women, also caters to men. I know this because I was lucky enough to be recommended the place by a friend. As I stepped into the establishment I was instantly soothed, like stepping through a portal into a different dimension. The fragrance and soft music combined perfectly to make me feel, "oh... that's nice." A moment later and I was introduced to the owner, Joji. The petite woman went on to explain to me the different types of services they provide, from foot massage (no thanks), to couple massage, and then a bunch of girly stuff, facials, manis, pedis, etc. Joji reassured me that the products they used were of the best quality, in fact she just got back from the US where to buys them almost every month. To be honest that meant little to me, and still does. I opted for a body massage. Now normally I enjoy when the massage is over because the pain has finally stopped - the pain of being jabbed by fingers and elbows in all my sore spots! This massage was different. The masseuse actually listened, and because of such I finished the hour feeling more limber than I had in years, and extremely tired. On the way out I thanked Joji, she was in the middle of her own pedicure at the time, she waved goodbye with a big smile. She knew I'd be back... and I dare not prove her wrong!
