Stopped in for an impromptu oil change today -- first time at this place. I was impressed at first:…read morethe price was amazing and the front desk staff were super friendly and professional. I even called my sister and fiancé afterward saying how pleased I was, even though they forgot to put the usual reminder sticker for the next oil change. But here's where it went downhill -- and fast. After leaving, I realized a box of food was missing from my car. My sister had her own separate box in there, and it was GONE. Not something you misplace -- someone took it. I called the shop, and all I got was "this has never happened before." Well, it never happened to me before either. Look, it may seem like "just food," but if someone is comfortable stealing something so minor, it raises serious questions about what else they might take. I really wanted to keep this place in rotation because of the great value and service -- but this experience left a bad taste in my mouth, no pun intended.

I believe they now have a whole new crew since they changed owners. I know I've never dealt with the front guy before. I went in today to get an oil change on a Mercedes Benz GLE350. I didn't want to take it to the 5 minute places because sometimes they check everything and sometimes they don't and the Mercedes dealership in Shreveport is out of their minds for what they have listed on their website for an oil change. The guy was friendly enough but not overly so. As with many businesses today they are dealing with the problem of under staffing. I didn't keep track of how long it took for the service but it didn't seem terribly long, especially seeing as how they had to go to a parts store to get the oil I needed since they didn't stock it. Unfortunately I did not ask them to check the air filter when we started this process. I assumed that that was something that would be checked as part of the oil change. It was not. The guy said since they were short handed they tried to get customers in and out as fast as possible. Sure, I want fast as possible but I also want it done correctly. How much longer would it have taken to check the air filter and replace it if necessary? That was the whole point of me coming to your business was because I wanted it done correctly! The charge was far more reasonable than what was listed on the dealerships website but I'll probably just do it myself next time. I wont be returning to this location to have my oil changed and recommend if you do (1) call before you go there to make sure they have the people and time to do it and (2) express in detail what you want done and checked in the write-up process.

My husband and I were on a cross country road trip in our snorkelmobile (93' snorkel'ed Toyota…read more4runner 4x4), loaded to the gills in camping gear, from Ventura, CA to Madeira Beach, FL, when she took a turn for the worse. South bound on the 49 out of Shreveport, we heard her start making crazy noises and saw some steam. After a suitable amount of hollering and engine-gazing, we realized there was no diagnosing her ailments on the side of a Louisiana highway at night. I called AAA and thanked God under my breath when they told me I had a 200 mile Premium tow, and yes, they could get us to a mechanic that was open Saturday in Lafayette! That's how we met Ben. He hopped out of his tow truck and loaded our snorkelmobile in a flash. We all piled into the cab together, my poor husband riding bitch in the middle (chivalry ain't dead!). Now, a 2.5hr drive with a stranger is likely to be an awkward thing, but it wasn't with Ben. He was incredibly personable and we three chatted for hours about the craziest topics. To the managers: this is an employee you want to keep and promote... A guy who will get off his couch on a Friday night after driving for 9hrs, and take a 4-5hr job... And one who does so while being super kind and helpful to customers. Today, at the mechanic, we learned the problem may be a broken A/C pully... And the snorkelmobile may be fixed in good time, so both of our parents' lectures about taking a 25 y.o. car across the US, wont get rubbed in. But we couldn't have done it without Ben. WOOOW, My husband bought a BigTex trailer, it was amazing for 3 months. Then something happen and…read morewe had to bring to another trailer place due to not being able to get to a BigTex dealer. Well, the guy who tried to fix it, messed it up bad. left us on the side of the road several times, had to change tires etc. We went to a BigTex store in Minden LA.. Met this God sent angel Marty, worked on our trailer right away for two days. Fixed it all and sent us away in awe. This particular gentleman really changed our mind on how we feel about our BigTex trailers. These Guys really stand behind their products. Good going Marty and crew !!! I came here to get gas on the way back from Dallas to Atlanta. This is your typical big Pilot with…read moreshowers and a pretty decently sized convenience store. They also have a Dunkin and an Arby's so if you need food, you should be able to get it pretty conveniently. We only stopped for a pit stop so we weren't there for a terribly long time. but the folks working there were generally friendly and it was a nice little stop after a long drive!

What a great bunch a people when you need a suspension repair on a motorhome!! These guys sent a…read moreperson within an hour after being contacted. They quickly removed the part and began looking for another one. They found it 8 hours away and had it priority shipped overnight and it will be installed in less than an hour in the morning. They not only are fixing the issue, they informed me of practical solutions to prevent it in the future. They also told me how I could do it myself. So if you have a diesel pusher and you have either suspension or tire-wheel problems, do yourself a favor and call these guys. You will be glad you did.
