Placed an order for delivery on a Thursday night and I was a little worried because of past reviews but I'm glad we ordered! We had the chicken gyro platter which was delicious - it comes with fries and they didn't skimp on the chicken. We also had the cheesy garlic bread and it was also tasty. The young lady on the phone was friendly and so was our delivery driver. Will def order a pizza next time to give it a try. Definitely would recommend!

Easy review. Took advantage of a bogo deal on Uber and tried Mike's for the first time. Pleasantly surprised at how good this pizza is. Actually some of the best pizza I've had in the area. The crust is perfect based on my preference (thinner), good amount of cheese and it was very flavorful. I will certainly try again. I also really like the customized box. Really nice touch and sets Mike's apart from other pizza places.

Me and my sister were in a rush for dinner and decided to revisit Mike's. Our last experience with Mike's was average, but this time we had an excellent meal. We started with a Greek salad, and we both liked it very much. Everything was fresh, there was a generous amount of large sized feta cheese, and the dressing was tangy. I ordered an Eggplant Parmesan sandwich and it was very enjoyable. Firstly it was really large! The prodigious sandwich was served open-faced and immediately I could see the large cutlet of breaded eggplant covered with Marinara and cheese. The eggplant was seasoned well, not too oily, and the chunky Marinara sauce with Mozzarella cheese were both tasty. The sandwich bread was toasty and substantial enough to handle the heavyweight ingredients. My sister ordered the Penne a la Vodka with Chicken and it was delicious. The Penne was cooked perfectly al dente with a pleasant delicate bite. The Vodka sauce was nicely balanced in taste with just enough Vodka flavor contrasted by the Marinara sauce. The pieces of Chicken were moist and flavored well. Finally we added an Impossible Burger to share and I'm happy to say it was just an enjoyable as a traditional burger! The patty looked like ground beef with a similar color to a alightly medium temperature. The texture of the burger was also near that of a traditional burger having a slight crumble to it. Taste wise it was close to traditional ground beef but not nearly as greasy. Think of the Impossible burger being like a burger comprised of a really lean blend (at least 90+% lean beef to 10%, or less, fat). There was a hint of faux meat juice too, but that maybe the grease from the melted cheese. I think the burger's other ingredients of American cheese, mayonnaise, shredded lettuce, red onion, and tomato (all very flavorful) all contribute to making the Impossible Burger taste like a traditional cheeseburger, as those ingredients are so familiar and expected. Don't look past the French fries which were superb. Really crispy on the outside and very warm and soft inside; they were cooked perfectly. I didn't even need ketchup as they were seasoned so well!

This place usually gets overlooked when I order food from a pizza shop. But it is definitely on my radar now! Whether you are ordering a fresh pie or stopping in for a slice (or two or three) the pizza always tastes fantastic. Their wings and subs are also something I order all the time. Definitely check this place out.

After my last order from Mike's Pizza, I would like update my review.My last order was on my Birthday a happy coincidence.It was my third time ordering in and food quality has been always consistent. I ordered My staple chicken Wrap, Alfredo Fettuccini and Tiramisu and cheese cake and every thing was delicious and packed and sent nicely. Delivery was on time sure enough though they can still try to make process seamless since they forgot to drop the cake slice and had to come back as soon as they realized, but all in all it was a great experience and would not hesitate to order or dine again just for the amazing food. I would like to appreciate Cemal and team for great customer service and commitment and dedication for not letting a customer go unhappy. You guys, count me in as your regular. read more

The owner messaged me to come back and give the cheesesteak another try, but I decided to just go back on my own. The pictures of the lattice cheesesteak pizza piqued my interest. Unfortunately, the lattice pizza was not what I ended up with. Fortunately, the stuffed cheesesteak pizza was still very tasty, if not as visually appetizing. Again though, NOT ENOUGH STEAK! That said, I did like it very much. Had the jalapeno poppers as well and I have to say- AWESOME. This place is more than just burgers- can't wait to try more pizza from here. read more

Pizza is not good. Got the groupon for large plain pie with garlic knots and Caesar salad. Pizza was super doughy and pretty bland. Garlic knots were not like any other place I've had, in a bad way. They were pretty much completely dry with barely any garlic on them. Caesar salad looks good but haven't had it yet. Overall, there are way more pizzerias in the area that are better than here. The pizza was terrible! I would not recommend. The prices are way too high for what you get, I ordered a large pie and it was the size of a personal pan pizza and cost $16.99. Not to mention the cheese steak egg rolls only came with two egg rolls?? Wast of money i threw most of it out! read more

Tried this place today because my normal pizzeria is closed on Mondays and the reviews for this looked promising. Well, it wasn't good. I ordered the chicken parm hero with vodka sauce and the best part was the bread. The sauce was eh and so was the chicken and cheese ? There barely wasn't any ! I ordered the full which came out to 16$ DEFINITELY wasn't worth it. The hero I get from my local pizzeria is about the same size, million times better and only 10. I don't think I will ever step foot here again read more

I read a review and the person is giving mikes a rating based on door dash driver.. think about what you're doing! Go give door dash a review because they rip off restaurants charging outrageous money and then the restaurant has no idea what's happening once they pick up!! And you give the restaurant 2 stars rate the right people... this place has great crispy pizza I love that the sauce tastes like tomato and not sugar. The cheese is better than any other.. my only issue is I can only order there when working cause it's too far from my home.. read more

Fabulous pizza. The best in Monmouth county. All the other food is excellent. The folks who answer the phone are very courteous. Coupons always available and honored. ShopRite of Marlboro always has a coupon on the back of their receipt. We love mikes. We pick up so BBC we get the food hot. All the delivery services don't have a way to keep your food fresh. Number one place for us read more

Coming from someone who works in the food business I just had the most asinine conversation with someone after receiving my delivery. In town for business staying at a hotel near by, I ordered their Shrimp Salad to my hotel room when the food got here i took it out the bag to eat & realized there was no utensils. No forks, no napkins, nothing just the salad. I quickly called the restaurant to see if maybe the delivery guy had some in his car & to my surprise I was told "we don't provide napkins or utensils unless it's lunch time, you should of told us you need utensils and napkins so we could of charges you accordingly" WTF! I didn't think utensils or napkins should be an extra charge. So Mikes pizza please tell me how I am supposed to eat a salad with no utensils??? Maybe next time I take a trip I'll make sure to pack my kitchen drawer since I didn't know something so commonplace was such a luxury in your establishment. Wish I could actually review the food but I wasn't able to eat it because I wasn't provided or charged properly for utensils. UPDATE-an hour later there was a knock back on my hotel door & they delivered a fork. At that point I already tossed the salad. read more

I have tried many "Pizza" places here in Sayreville, and hands down, Mike's has it all. Their pizza is better than most, but their other foods are where they really shine. The salads are fresh, large enough for two, and their burgers are delish. I've even had some of their pasta dishes, and have never been disappointed. To add to all of the above, they are some of the nicest folks around--from the store staff to the delivery peeps--all friendly and professional. read more

Edited: Today Mike (the owner) called me back! That is great customer service! I appreciate the apology and the store credit. Mike is working hard to keep loyal customers. I am amending my 2 star rating and giving mike's pizza 5 stars for customer service, averaging to be a 4 star experience overall. Yesterday: Using the ChowNow app, I ordered food for delivery. I changed my mind about delivery (60 minutes) and called the number provided in the email confirmation. The very helpful young lady assured me that I could pick up my order in 20 minutes. My lovely daughter picked up our order and was back home in less than 30 minutes! Yay! Unfortunately, my order was incorrect. I had two pizzas plus appetizers, but not the pizzas I ordered. So, I redialed Mike's, hoping to get the same helpful young lady. After much difficulty now hearing me and then finding my order, she put me on hold several times to consult with someone, presumably her manager. I was told they would remake my pizzas and I could exchange the two I had at home already. Needless to say, I didn't want to wait 60 minutes for delivery and my daughter wasn't going back out in the rain for different pizzas. So, we ate the pizzas. For the record, they we're pretty good. Just not what we ordered. They could've asked for photo confirmation. My Mediterranean pizza clearly did not have olives, spinach, and tomatoes. Maybe I had an old menu? They could've have apologized and offered me a refund or a discount; I did prepay on my credit card. They could've made a notation on my account and offered me a return visit discount. Instead, I was told to exchange my dinner. With SEVEN pizza places within a half mile, I would've expected more of an effort from Mike's Pizza to keep this customer happy. Yes, I was irritated and said I would just order from TJ's next time. And sadly, that did not prompt a call back or an email. read more

I can't say enough good things about this place, everything taste good, and is fresh. The owner makes everything very simple and clear as to what comes with catering. EVERYONE AT MY PARTY COULDNT STOP ASKING ME WHERE I GOT MY FOOD FROM. People went up not only for seconds, but even for thirds. It was delicious. I recommend defiantly getting meatballs, sausage peppers, and the penne. I wouldn't recommend getting a fruit tray only because I was expensive and the tray is small, but all of The other portions are perfect. I basically left my party with only one tray of leftovers for a party of 50. Pricing is fair, and they will set up for you. Just tip the guy! I will Definitely be using them again for other events in the future. read more

Just some advice, if the pizza is too big for the Medium Box you should probably put it in the Large box, instead of cramming it into a medium box and folding the crust of the pizza into the middle of the pizza, it makes a mess, K thanks. read more

Over priced nickel and dime everything. I have been here a lot, I'm pretty sure I'm done. I always say never again then I come back a couple months later and remind myself why I stopped coming. Service is usually sub par. They don't like to notice you until you yell for attention. Sorry for this bad post I hope it helps the place get better. Contacted by the owner and ordered another delivery. Food was delivered fast and hot. Wings are delicious. Perfectly cooked. ** update Lowered to 4 stars. Not sure why they are now charging a $1.95 delivery fee. Food is good, but no reason to now pay a delivery charge where every other pizza place in the area has free delivery. Waited over two hours for my delivery order this evening and when it arrived, everything was ice cold. While we were hungry to begin with, we had to wait even longer to eat to reheat all of the food. I'm so disappointed especially since they have a nice selection of food. UPDATE: Talk about what good business looks like. Upon posting this review, the owner, Mike, immediately reached out to me to address my concern directly and kindly shared that he would look into this. I really appreciated his sense of urgency and accountability around the situation. He went above and beyond to look into why this happened, explained his findings, and offered a solution that exceed my expectations. The "ladies" up front are unaware as to how to wear face masks. Behind the line (mostly men) were much more attuned to the situation. Answering the phone with mask around chin. One kept her nose out the entire twenty minutes I waited. There was one female (brunette) who followed guidelines. Kudos to her. Very close to one another and handling our payments without proper guidance. Will not return. Pizza was great. Handling of our situation- abysmal. read more

Happened to be in area so decided to grab couple of slices. Felt they are expensive than whole pie so ended up ordering a large pie. It was perfect. The thickness was just right. We found this place only a few days ago and have already ordered a few times from them. Everything has been awesome! And has always arrived early and HOT. Excited to try the pizza we haven't even tried it yet. The Hot subs have been great and the Avacabo salad is off the hook. Now if they only had zeppoles we'd never have to go anywhere else. Established in 2014.

Mikes Pizza was started in 2014 with a "Good Food Fast" menu concept and specializes in many varieties of hand tossed extra large neopolitan, deep dish, and sicilian style pizza baked in our state of the art brick-lined stone hearth ovens. Dough is made from scratch daily and our signature sauce is made from vined-ripened San Marzano Italian tomatoes. We also offer a wide variety of homemade salads and our award winning baby back ribs lathered in our homemade bbq sauce. Conveniently located in Old Bridge Gateway Shopping Center next to Modell's on Route 9 & Ernsten Road with ample and convenient parking lot parking, we have comfortable seating and offer a dining room large enough to accomodate private parties and luncheons. owner hires illegal immagrants as cooks and takes advantage of them working them all day every day with only 1 day off knowing they need the money. however, illegal cooks flirt and whistle and touch on female staff who were often MINORS. owner knew about cooks harassing female staff and did nothing. after the sexual harassment complaint, all cooks behavior worsened. making food wrong blaiming it on staff. or just straight up ignoring instruction. owner also talks to staff with very little respect. i've seen a manager drunk in the freezer cause there's no cameras there. i've seen cook drop burgers and other food items and put it right back to be served to the customer. any bad review a customer has lied or exaggerated on, owner will question us with disrespect and not believe our word, just to make the customer happy and get the customer to come back and thicken his pockets. i would mikes pizza 0/5 stars, but google only allows the lowest rating to be 1/5 stars. kendi işini mahvettin ihtiyar. yorumları değil read more

I was visiting for the weekend from NYC and craving pizza. I know - why leave your city to find the same food. But it's what I wanted. Stumbled upon this place and it's AMAZING. Best New York style pizza in the area. Easily one of my favorite pizza places in jersey that truly thing crust pizza. The shop is super clean and the management there is straight to the point and keeps the orders good. I usually get two to three slices when I go, which is plenty to make sure you don't leave hungry. Each slice is about three dollars, but it is well worth it. Every pizza there is great and I usually get a slice of the pepperoni, sicilian and chicken bacon ranch. I have been coming to Mike's for years. Usually just for a lunch special Now our kids go to school in the neighborhood and we have been regulars for takeout. I rarely give 5 stars because we can all improve and I rarely get the best of both worlds, but these people go right to the heart they are nice, friendly and hard working and their pizzas are very good, because they go a little beyond, they have passion and they love what they do. The reason I am giving two stars is because of the quality of the service. I went into Mike's for the second time and honestly was baffled by the service. I went in and there was one girl doing mostly everything putting pizza's in the oven, taking orders,cleaning tables,etc. while there was a man standing at the counter not doing anything. There was a line forming and he didn't move to help. In all honesty if he helped there wouldn't have been a line. The slices I ordered were delicious and if the man gave more attention to his customers I would've given at least 4 stars. Hope this changes next time. read more

I've been coming to mikes pizza for over two years now, I have a pizzeria closer to my home however I choose to come here as every single time the food is beyond delicious. My husband and I usually order the full tray of wings, chicken strips and pizza anytime we have company over or are celebrating an event at our home and are guests are always talking about how good the wings are! Had food delivered from Mike's last week. Food was delivered hot & they adhered to my NO CONTACT DELIVERY INSTRUCTIONS. I tried their Chicken bacon ranch pizza & chicken francese dinner. The pizza was yum, the dinner came with an entire garlic bread with cheese & a side salad. The quantity was generous as well! Just a note: I heard the driver pull up to my driveway so was peeking through the window, the driver had his mask on which gave me peace of mind!
