Where do I even begin. Let's start with the fact that Mikes did the original install on our AC unit in 2019 and it's been non stop issues since. The unit has never run smoothly; literally ever. In 2023, the unit required a whole new coil. Fast forward to 2025 and yet another new coil needed. I was told I would be called on Monday with a quote (technician came out on a Friday). It's now been a week with no call (mind you this also happened in 2023 as well; was told I'd be contacted and never was until I called). To add, the technician who came out was extremely rude. He placed the full blame for the new issue on my dog (for peeing on the unit) and told me I could not use my warranty because of it. Which I'm not saying he never has, HOWEVER, pretty sure multiple animals go through yards and an AC technician is not a fricken expert on the "smell" of dog pee. On top of that, had two other companies come out for quotes and discovered two errors made on the original install; one of which is ILLEGAL. Better yet, was told by both companies, the original issue with the AC unit could have certainly been due to a faulty install....which now makes sense given the multiple errors discovered with the original installation. Save your money and your sanity and take your business elsewhere. This company is simply out to scam you of your money. Unqualified, unprofessional. read more

My air conditioner pooped out Friday night. I called Mike's Saturday morning. Was told someone would be at my house between 9:30 & 3:30. Paul called me at 9:45 and was at my house in 15 minutes. He was such a competent and nice guy. Had it fixed in about 15 minutes. Reasonable pricing. I'll call when my units need to be replaced. Paul was really friendly and kind. read more

We brought a Bradford White Defender Hot water tank back in 2014 from Mike's. I have been having a problem with the unit going off on high temp and have to reset the switch at inconvenient times . I ask Mike Jr. if they sell the reset part . I told him the problem . He suggested I blow out the burner area. I did and it has been working like a charm . The burner area was very dirty. I had excellent service from Mikes Heating & Cooling. Our furnace quit in the middle of summer. The receptionist answered us and had someone out that same day! Joe our service representative came out and answered all my many questions & was very professional. He ordered the parts after checking their inventory. I had also called Randazzo's Heating but they were a month out even to give me estimate. Never any pressure to buy more than we needed, Joe came with the new parts the next day , he even double checked my air conditioning unit before leaving. Highly recommend this company. read more

We hired Mike's Heating and Cooling to install a tankless water heater. After the completion of the install, at 4:00 am our carbon monoxide detector went off alerting us of carbon monoxide. After speaking with the technician, he advised that he didn't check the furnace vent when the chimney was capped and although he was very apologetic, we could have lost our lives. Had it not been for the carbon monoxide detector, we would not be alive today. Although the problem has been fixed, I feel that this was gross negligence and I expected better from a "professional" heating and cooling business. read more

After being On the Phone with Ecobee4 support for more then 3 hours i called Mike's , after speaking with our home inspector Tim H. because i was at my whits end .. Valerie promptly returned my call and ( even though they were busy on a Friday) Sam and his coworker were at our house in less then 20 min, they were friendly, knowledgeable..and communicated well about what was happening... Mike will come in and use his 30 years of experience to resolve this complicate problem, I was thoroughly impressed with the personal attention and care that we received in this stressful situation ( No HVAC) and unable to use ANY thermostat. I highly recommend this company and am waiting for a message back from Ecobee after I completed their review read more

Guys do not use these scam artists last year my inducer motor went out I got it replaced, this year i went to turn my heat back on, I wasn't getting any heat, I called them back they said I had no warranty after 11 months I thought I should be able to get something back NOPE the owner basically laughed in my face over the phone wouldn't transfer over the service fee into the Repair like all heating and cooling places usually do, he even asked me if had any common sense over the phone, I call comfort zone heating and cooling they come over same day and say my inducer motor is fine just some lose wires and saves me $500 bucks moral of the story, not everyone's honest, Shaun was my tech btw read more

Very dissapointed in this company. Arrived late. Complained about not feeling well. Ripped me off. Quoted me 500.00 for a replacement part. Told me the part was under warranty, and all I needed to pay for was the 5 hour labor fee. They were here for 2 hours. And still charged me 500.00. These people use add ons to plump up the prices. Our furnace quit in the middle of the night so I called to 3 different companies to get it serviced. Mike's was the first to respond. The tech, Mark, was very friendly. I watched and we chatted as he worked. He explained to me what was going on and got the job done promptly. I felt the charges were fair and in line with what I've paid in the past for HVAC repair. Air conditioning unit stopped working on Sunday. Saw an ad for Carrier repair. Called and they were able to come out the next day. The repairman was very thorough and knowledgeable. Very pleasant and professional. The part was picked up at Carrier (we have a high end unit 10 years old that doesn't use universal parts). Repair completed for reasonable price. Would recommend. My only comment to improve. ..leave a sticker or magnet with contact info on furnace and air conditioner so I can easily find you should I have another issue in the future. read more

Awful customer service. Called them for assistance on a stuck duct damper on a zone setup for our furnace. Was called back after initial visit, and was told Mike himself would not let them work on it due to sloppy install and that it is not 5 years old yet. Let me translate... "we are too lazy to help a customer out of a tough spot, and are just going to leave them hanging". I'll contact a company that likes to work, and whose owner encourages it. Had an A/C Tune up in June and tech said NOTHING was wrong with our 24 year old A/C unit. 1 month later unit died due to only having 1 unit of refrigerant in it out of the 7 units it needed and there was no leak found. The tech was not thorough if he didn't catch this huge issue that caused unit to fail a month later. Waste of money, and would not recommend. read more

We are devastated by Mike's Heating and Cooling and the service we were provided. Mike's Heating and Cooling left our family of 5 with NO HEAT in the middle of January and a pandemic. We searched around for heating and cooling company's for service for our boiler, and found great reviews for this company, and a sweet news article on how they gave an elderly man a brand-new furnace during the frigid winter months. We were looking forward to having a family-owned company service our home and were expecting great service. This is our first winter in the home. We set up an appointment as the boiler heat wasn't reaching each room. The technician suggested that we put in a cleaner and flush out the system. Cleaner went in, and we were set to be flushed on 1/12/2021. The technician did mention that a gauge on our boiler might need to be replaced. He gave us a quote of max, $800 for the cleaner, flush and potential replacement of gauge. When it was time for the system to be flushed, the technician broke the gauge and was unable to fix it. He worked on it for two hours. The technician came from the basement to let us know that we were going to need a new boiler and it was going to cost around $6500. This is shock to us, as we were expecting $800 bill, and not a brand new system. My husband spoke with the owner of Mike's Heating and Cooling and was extremely disappointed in the lack of compassion for the predicament that we are now in, due to the technician breaking the gauge. During the conversation, Mike basically told is "tough luck", we couldn't foresee this happening. There wasn't any compromise or any options for us to choose from to reduce this burden we are in. We understand that issues will happen, but we did have a functioning boiler prior to the technician servicing it. Now, our family of five has a home with no heat, an unfit workplace and school, and not to mention a warm place to sleep. We are devastatingly disappointed in the lack of ownership and compassion that this company has given us, and the predicament we are now in due to their services. By 11am our boiler was broken, and we were left with 3 space heaters to heat our home because of Mike's Heating and Cooling's performance. UPDATE 1/13/21: my husband had to take off work to fix the mistakes that we were left with. My husband, who has no experience with boilers, was able to correct the gauge issue, fill, drain, flush and bleed the system. I am at a lost for words with this company as a technician with 13 years experience was unable to fix this problem, and leave us in a freezing house, and my husband with 0 years experience was able to identify the root cause of the issue and get the boiler functioning again, better than it did before. I am now thinking they were trying take take advantage of us to sell a new boiler. read more

What a fantastic experience we have had with Mike's. They are quick, they are "right priced" and can be trusted to do what it takes to get you up and running. Mike's Heating and Air was the company that installed the gas fireplace in the house I purchased last year. I have all the paperwork and record from the previous owner. The pilot quit working last winter so I had it serviced by Mike's Heating and Air. After a few months, it quit working again. Another man from Mike's Heating and Air came out to service it and said, "It was installed wrong." I was billed st the time $90 for the man to come out and take a look. I paid it. No problem. But the I got a bill for $120 repair, for a part that Mike's installed incorrectly. I called two times and each time I spoke with the receptionist, and was told the manager would get back to me. No call, no surprise! I did, however, finally get a call from the receptionist saying that she had spoken with her boss; I still owe the $120, and she couldn't explain why I do. This place will rip you off. The employee was extremely rude, they are over-priced and they will not return a part they just installed (since we no longer need it). Yet have no problems charging $89 just to look at our water heater. Because our water heater was broken and it was the weekend, we did find someone else to do the job who was much more pleasant to work with. read more

Paul called approximately 25-30 minutes before showing up to my home. Paul was friendly and professional, after listening to me describe what was happening with my system he went straight to work. Within a short while he diagnosed what was going on, corrected it and then tested all of the systems (heat, humidifier, and AC). We purchased the home last August and did not have any history...for some odd reason, there was an extra set of low voltage wires connected to the circuit board, after dismantling and reconnecting the correct wiring, Paul was on his way. He charged me only the initial service call and told me that should anything else arise, his service call is good for 30 days. The last thing that I would like to add was that there was no talk of "needing to replace your system", a lot of outfits out there begin that conversation as soon as they show up. Be careful of these folks. Had a new A/C put in. After they were done the installer said everything was working fine, gave them credit card to pay. About 10 minutes later installer came back & said it is not working there was a problem, no power to the unit. The previous unit blew out the fuse box to the A/C, (it needed to be repaired as part of the installation) and they just hooked up to the bad box. (I think he told me it was working just to be able to run my credit card, either that or he really thought it was working, kinda shady) Which is worse dis-honest or not competent, I hope he just didn't know what he was doing. Came home last night in the middle of a snowstorm to a furnace making noises that sounded like an airplane taking off. Our Air conditioner went out on Saturday night. I have my 80 and 81 year old parents that live with us. We called before they even opened on Monday morning. They set up a time between 10am and 2pm. They were there by 11:20am. Very professional, explained what part was needed, had it on the truck. Installed it and was ready to go.
