We had a local man come out to assess who said the job was just not doable for him at that point. He had too many other appointments scheduled and what we needed would take up more time than he had. So he recommended Red Royal. They came out that same day and told us what the problem was. Power from the pole died due to the line being old and it not being buried in a tube. Replacement needed. They were out the following day and started digging WITH SHOVELS. They almost finished the job but the part they needed to connect to the box was not available until Monday. Back early on Monday they got the power going. Inspectors came out (Dunedin) and approved the job. They came back out and buried the line and left it looking like brand new. I cannot give enough props to the two men that were out here. Professional and hard working + friendly. We recommend Red Royal to everyone. Cannot say enough positive things about them. ZERO negative things. Thank you Red Royal for getting our home back up and running as quickly as possible.

Good, honest electrician…read more I live in a house built in 1956--a certified classic Florida block home. Second house built on this street, in fact. Back then, the electrical in homes was not grounded and because the fine folks who lived here never updated ANYTHING, the house has zero 3-pronged electrical plugs. Take a look at your electric belongings, and you'll see that many of them required a grounded outlet. Enter Peter Lontakos Electrical. Called the guys on late Friday and they came out first thing Tuesday. The job only took about 30 minutes. The service rep, David, was super friendly and cleaned up before he left. I replaced one regular 2-slotter from 1956 and added a brand new outlet in the kitchen, which required some cutting and drilled. Total price was less than$125. Well worth it because now I can plug in more than two items in the kitchen. I've got a few more electrical wants to check off of my wish list, and I will definitely be calling these guys. I know what you're thinking. These aren't extremely difficult tasks, so why didn't you do them yourself, Mark? No way, José. People should know their limitations, and I drawn the line at everything that involves electricity and live wires. I'm not getting sizlle-fried and ending up on that million ways to die show. Somethings are best left to the pros.

Dan was more than understanding that I could not go over to fix this myself. He came out and the guests said was "super nice, no attitude at all" after finding how easy this was to fix. They said he was just as patient and respectful when he came 2 days later and had to reset the breaker and point out which two things not to plug in at the same time. When they left I had Dan right back out to add additional circuits and some extra lights and outlets. They worked almost an entire day and Dans prices were unbelievably reasonable for the work done and amount of man hours. I will definitely be having them back out and now have his number listed in our Property Welcome Manual so guests can call him if they can not reach me. I'm SO hesitant to write this review bc I want Dan to be able to come when I need him, but Dan is such a good guy I had to share!!

Tech admitted the part might have been old or used! Both techs wore flimsy scarf as a face mask. One tech entered my house after being outside with NO MASK! Power went out again. Third visit replaced an outlet that did not need replacement and charged $55 for a new outlet! Power went out again. Fourth visit checked outlets and found loose wire and tightened. Power went out again. After complaining to office staff about incorrect mask usage during a pandemic I was reassured new masks were provided to staff each day. First tech showed up with visually dirty mask. Second tech had flimsy scarf. I had to give him one of my own masks to enter my house. We finally gave up on them after they could not fix the issue and told us we would need the whole area rewired. They were also late three out of the four visits and obviously do not take a pandemic seriously enough to protect their workers or clients. After venting our multiple frustrations with the owner, he decided to attempt to argue and bully us into dropping it. He had the extra gall to send us a bill for more labor hours after already bilking us out of $250 for initial visit. I called another electrician and he diagnosed the issue in one hour and fixed it. Do not use Boss Electric unless you want unprofessional and incompetent service.
