The company was given the correct directions because I myself drove and sat with my 73-year-old​ dad in 96-degree​e heat so he could be in the air conditioning. My dad's phone had turned off due to the heat he was in. He had sat for TWO hours out in the heat waiting on this particular towing company. Once his phone was charged and cooled down we could see that the company tried to call and that AARP had sent messages to his phone that they would pick him up within an allotted​ time, changing​ the time twice to extend it. I sat with him an additional hour while he was receiving these delay-in-service texts. I called this towing company explaining that my dad had been waiting well over two hours. The receptionist said that they tried to contact my dad's phone number and that their driver had gone through​ the area several times and did not find my dad's truck. I said there is no way he missed it. I had no problems finding my dad's stranded truck by the exact directions he gave me. I'll admit, my voice was raised and I was mad that they had left him by the side of the road with a heat index of 110! The receptionist told me to not call back and that I must go through the AARP phone number and then she hung up on me!! Not good customer service. I called AARP roadside assistance and explained the situation. They dispatched​ a new towing service that had no problem finding us. They said they would look into this company. DO NOT use Affordable Towing & Recovery if you care about your family!

Walked out with a kayak, beef jerky, and the sudden desire to grow a beard and live off the grid. This place has everything: flannel shirts that whisper "I chop wood recreationally", boots tougher than your ex, and a taxidermy collection that's probably more extensive than the Smithsonian's. The staff? Super helpful. They knew exactly which rod I needed for "panfish, but like, aggressive ones." Bonus points for the ambiance--where else can you shop for deer blinds under a fake indoor mountain and a ceiling full of ducks? Fun place and I highly recommend. Go check it out

This place had my boat from May-December of…read more2024, when I took it in it just needed an impeller.Got it back, picked it up, took it to the lake, didn't run. Took it back, needed a water bowl? Picked it up, took it to the lake, STILL DIDNT RUN without over heating. Took it again!!! Block was cracked... ordered new engine, it took them 7 months to replace the engine. Got it back in December. Waited til season time came back around. Needless to say.. IT STILL DIDNT RUN. And the company didn't even do the warranty papers on my engine nor did they test the engine out in water before they gave me back my boat. Said they did. They did not!! So it goes back to them to make it right. Took it back to them for the hundredth time, got it back. Took it to the lake, ended up overheated, bow of the entire boat was full of oil, and fuel!! Took it back to them AGAIN, they ordered whatever exhaust part it needed. Said they'd had it ready in a week and bring it back to me... two weeks later.... I called them to check the status of the work, they said we're doing it today, you can pick it up in the morning, after they already agreed to bring it back out to me on the lake and test it before giving me my boat back. Horrible horrible horrible. So the night I go to pick it up... back the truck up to the hitch about to lower the jack, the handle is just laying there broken!!!! I had to hold my boat up with my legs and call my wife to come rescue me and help me! These guys are a terrible excuse for mechanics and there's absolutely NO QUALITY CONTROL!! Beware and AVOID!!!!
