BIG CITY IS THE BEST. My building has been dealing with gas & heating issues for LITERAL years…read more When we finally sorted one step of the process, we learned about tons of issues across a number of boilers in the building. Big City came out and provided a clear diagnostic and estimate for each of the affected units. I was nervous about this being able to be fixed because of all the issues we'd been having but they were so kind and reassuring the whole way, which really made me feel like a solve was possible. And sure enough they did it! And my unit (and others in the building) are back up and running. They were so diligent and helpful getting everything restored, and were also such nice, wonderful, pleasant people. Thank you so much for all your kindness and help!!! HUGE reco for Big City for anyone looking and in need of experts that know what they're doing!

Roto-Rooter might seem like they charge a little more, but we made the mistake of calling a local plumber and spending 1000.00 and STILL had continuous problems because they unclogged the pipe but didn't use a blade (just a spring). We had caked on soap in the line and although the plumber unclogged the pipe, the deposits were still in the pipe and it backed up two additional times. Finally called Roto-rooter and we feel very confident that the issue is resolved for now. Eric showed us our drainage issues and recommended future maintenance. He was forthright with the costs and he was very professional and fast. We will NEVER waste our time and money using any other company for our drain problems. I definitely recommend this company!

I left a message, and he returned my call almost immediately. After explaining the situation, he said he was in the neighborhood, just finished a job, and would be over within the hour. A half-hour later, he appeared, and, after assessing the problem, removed the damaged area along with the tee part that was corroded (it was at my insistence, as long as he was there). He explained everything he was going to do, and even let me help (holding flashlight, supplying towels, turning house faucets on and off as needed, etc.). About an hour later, the job was finished. Three weeks later (i.e., now!), it is still holding up, and I expect no problems. He was amiable without being patronizing, and the cost was about $300 cash, which I considered to be very reasonable. Great job all around! Thank you, Gordon! You are, now, my go-to plumber!
