I was greeted warmly by the front desk staff, and the office itself was beautiful, comfortable, and meticulously maintained. The welcoming waiting area even offered complimentary coffee and water, which was a thoughtful touch. The 3D scan of my mouth that Irma, the x-ray tech/radiographer, performed was impressive. I had never experienced this type of imaging before of my mouth. It was far superior to the uncomfortable dental x-rays I've had in the past. Irma was professional, personable, and efficient, making the entire process quick and comfortable. Dr. Hinchey was equally impressive. He is warm, friendly, professional, and exceptionally knowledgeable. He carefully reviewed my scans, explained exactly what they revealed, discussed his diagnosis, and outlined a detailed treatment plan. One thing that really stood out to me was when he said he's a perfectionist and won't move from one step to the next until everything is exactly right. As a fellow perfectionist, that gave me tremendous confidence that I had chosen the right oral surgeon. He was a very young gentleman and spent a large portion of the appointment talking about sex, which made me extremely uncomfortable and felt completely inappropriate in a medical setting. I was there for a dental consultation and did not feel respected or at ease. At the end of the visit, he told me I would need teeth pulled, but by that point I was so uncomfortable that all I could think about was getting out of the room. Consumer Warning: Poor Billing Practices and Communication…read more I strongly advise seeking dental care elsewhere. In my experience, this office appears more focused on collecting money than providing quality care or transparent billing. This has happened to me twice now: I made payments at the time of service, only to be notified a year later of an outstanding balance--now inflated with late fees. In the first instance, the balance was communicated to my husband instead of me. Most recently, I had informed the office multiple times that I was no longer a patient. Despite updating my address, they failed to enter it correctly into their system. For over a year, they claimed to have sent me letters--none of which I received, presumably because they were returned to sender. They also claimed to have sent texts, which I never received. I only became aware of the issue after receiving an email. When I finally called, the representative I initially spoke to was helpful, but the office manager offered very little resolution--waiving only $90 of nearly $300 in fees. This feels unreasonable, especially given that I would have addressed the balance promptly had I been properly notified. Now, I am left dealing with this unnecessarily stressful situation while caring for a newborn. In addition to these billing concerns, I have spent significant money at this office--only for my current dentist to repair and correct multiple issues with their previous work. In my opinion, these are deeply concerning practices. I recommend seeking care from more transparent providers--such as Aspen Dental or other reputable offices.
