Mike did a great job for us restoring some old brickwork that nobody else even wanted to touch.

This was…read morethe most ridiculously terrible home repair experience we've ever had in 25 years of home ownership in the Pointes. They were to have multiple workers to clean/repair master bathroom floor and enclosed shower and the Saltillo tile floor in kitchen - they had one worker arrive and they other called in sick - yet somehow miraculously arrived in good health after noon. The bathroom was "ok" but the worker missed cleaning the edge areas of the tile floor. The kitchen is were it gets ridiculous and dangerous. The estimate/contract explicitly states that they were to use "non-toxic cleaners" with steam cleaning in addition with machine washing as needed. These clowns, without consent or announcement, decided to use Muriatic (Hydrochloric) acid on our kitchen floor with my wife, our dog, our son and I all in the home closed up tight on a 30 deg day in December with a natural gas forced air furnace running the whole time. The fumes took our breath away after only a few seconds and also scorched our kitchen tile floor. Yet the lead worker was wearing a double canister face respirator. When I questioned him about the fumes, he only said through his respirator "you might want to not breathe this stuff in". They did not instruct us to open any doors prior or during the application of this Hydrochloric acid and had no regard for our safety, yet took very serious precautions for their own. They offered no apology and only maintained in a highly defensive attitude that it was part of their normal cleaning process, which according to the Sir Grout site and the contract/work order is 100% contrary to the truth. They stood in my kitchen with a mask on and lied to me about what I could plainly see with my own eyes. I have yet to receive a phone call from the area franchise owner that I was told I would by the lead worker. I would say this company is a joke if the consequences of their actions weren't so seriously dangerous. DO NOT USE this company for anything in your home.

TLDR: They are expensive and careless. This is a really…read moremixed review. They came within an hour of the appointment time, and were very pleasant. The work they did on the grout was good. They were sloppy toward the ends of two very long days, but overall the grout was good. Unfortunately, the material they us to clean the grout caused the finish on my bathtub to bubble up and peel away. They agreed to give me $200 toward a similar (low quality) treatment, but said that one of the men that worked on on my grout would do a higher quality finish for $500 (a value of $800 to $1200). He came and worked really hard, but the result was full of bubbles, and was peeling off in under two days. It took over a week to get a return date scheduled, and by then I realized I had realized I couldn't let them do more work on it. I hired another company to fix the tub, but the whole thing has taken over a month to resolve and was unnecessary from the beginning. The owner called me once to explain why it wasn't their fault, but that he would try to help me get my money back from his employee. He has not returned my follow-up call. The employee did, however, give the money back.

Who wants their naked bits anywhere near mold and mildew?…read more I contacted The Grout Doctor and within a day I had a time for the owner to visit my home for an estimate. A week later I had a quick visit for an estimate from the owner and went with it--price was in the area of the other estimate I received. I had two bathrooms cleaned and sealed with very minimal re-grouting over the course of two weeks (one tub/shower and one tile shower). Both only took about half a day each. The worker left with no mold or mildew remaining whatsoever, everything cleaned, and everything resealed as it should have been. Both areas look great! Now I'm feeling much more comfortable in the shower.

They broke one of my wall tiles, cracked grouting and scraped the finish off the molding under my vanity. They said they would replace the tile and would return to do the caulking and tile. Mel returned the following week and although he couldn't find a matching tile he brought one that he thought he could cut to fit and it would be "close." He started caulking the shower and then I noticed he did not have the color we had agreed upon and was applying a grey caulk where white was to go. He said they didn't have the matching color. His application in the shower was leaving open gaps and it was smeared over the tiles. When I pointed out the gaps he went over it with white caulk so on the same line I have white and grey caulk. He was supposed to return the next day and was a no show. Didn't return my calls. I'm left with damage to the bathroom and have to start over again this time with the added expense of repairing what they damaged. I've never experienced such poor quality work and lack of professionalism!

I cannot recommend Restoration Tile and Grout. They came to clean up the tile and grout and…read morereplace a show shelf at my home. The technicians did a terrible jobs. I will explain all the issues I had. The good news is Nick the manager of the company came back and fixed all the issues. The bad news it took him three hours since there was so many issue. When you hire a professional service to do work around your house you expect it to be right. You pay good money for these guys and the technicians that came to my house were not skilled. They lacked professionalism and a pride in their workmanship. If you hire them make sure you check their work closely when the job is done. 1. They did some grout replacement in my bathroom and used a premixed sand based grout and it did not match at all. Sand based grout is NOT smooth, it is very rough and textured. 2. They did not place the PFocus epoxy sealer in all the grout lines. They missed a lot 3. They got the PFocus epoxy all over the tile and I mean all over. Nick had to sand off the epoxy and after I left I found many more spots. Very sloppy workmanship. 4. I noticed that they did a terrible job of clearing off the soap scum in the shower. I don't believe the crew used the tile cleaning product in the show. This was probably the most important place to have cleaned the tile. I noticed this after Nick left trying to fix the first set of problems so I just cleaned it up myself. 5. The shower shelf was install unlevel. It was pitched toward the shower wall so the water would puddle on the shelf. I noticed this in time so the technician could fix it before the thinset hardened. 6. As mentioned in another review they created a lot of dust that went all over the bathroom and bedroom. They covered nothing and they should have warned me that they would create so much dust. 7. The ended up replacing some tiles they knocked off by accident and they were very poorly installed. Nick had to remove them and reset them correctly.
